"Nergal" Meets His Bone Marrow Donor; BEHEMOTH To Begin Recording NEW Album In February!

Last years comeback of the year in Heavy Music, was witnessed by the headbanging community when Adam "Nergal" Darski from BEHEMOTH returned to the musical spectrum after battling with Cancer. "Nergal" had been diagnosed with Leukemia on August 8, 2010, and in an unprecedented move his fans united in order to find him a match that could donate some bone marrow in order for Nergal to be able to get a bone marrow transplant. Following the chemo therapy, and the bone marrow transplant, today Nergal is cancer free!

Earlier today, BEHEMOTH's guitarist/vocalist  met the fan that saved his life! Watch video of this beautiful moment HERE!

Our good friend Metal Mark from Skull N' Bones,  recently spoke with "Nergal" while on board Barge To Hell — the world's most extreme Metal cruise — which sailed Monday, December 3, 2012 from Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas and returned to the real world on Friday, December 7. Here is what "Nergal" had to say about the bands NEW record:

"We're in writing mode, and we're doing this [cruise] more or less as a vacation, js tto get us out of the writing [environment]. But even yesterday, before the show, I was fucking around with my guitar and jamming out and shit. I came up with… I really think this riff is gonna end up on the record; it's gonna make its way to the record. So I'm really thinking about my record. I'm dreaming my record, I'm eating my record, I'm shitting my record… I mean, everything just comes to the same thing: this artistic release that's gonna take place in the fall next year. That's the plan. We already made a rough plan. We should be entering the studio in late February. We're demoing stuff now. It's actually a rehearsal studio. So this is a thing we've never done before: we get into the studio, we set up the equipment, and we just play. And we record stuff. So it's very creative. It's new and it's different energy, too. I mean, we still use our rehearsal room, but it's good to change the environment. And then in January and February, we decided to move to Warsaw to work on the record. It should be very stimulating; this change of rooms and change of cities, it can be very stimulating. But we've got plenty of stuff written already; I'm guessing 30 or 40 minutes of music is done. But I keep on writing. I'm so hyped and I'm so into delivering new stuff. I have this thought: every time I come up with a new theme or a new song idea, I think it's actually better than the one before. So I hope that this process stops at a certain point and I'm, like, 'OK, over. This is it. We're working on this bunch of songs and that's it.' Because this way I can go on forever."

Recently, it was reported that Poland's finest Heavy Metal export BEHEMOTH had lined up multifaceted producer Ross Robinson to work on the bands 10th studio album. While both the band and Robinson have been hinting that they might be working together, Robinson recently dismantled the rumor via his Twitter account.

The 2011 Comeback Of The Year: Behemoth's Adam "Nergal" Darski!

There is no question that the comeback of the year in Heavy Music, was witnessed by the headbanging community when Adam "Nergal" Darski from Behemoth returned to the musical spectrum after battling with Cancer.

In order to honor Poland's Heavy Metal ambassador, Terrorizer Magazine (The World's Most Dangerous Magazine) decided to make put Nergal on the cover of their Summer issue, along with in depth article about the Behemoth frontman! Here it is.

This year, Nergal was acquitted for the second time for bible-tearing in Poland, here is what he had to say about this.

"I really had so much faith in judges. The verdict seems to be right. Intelligence and truth won over backward thinking and conservative attitudes; though I'm aware of the fact it's not over yet. The battle is won but the war is on…"

Thanks to the return of "Nergal", Behemoth was able to team up with Grupa 13 to produce a music video for their song 'Lucifer'; which is a track taken from their 2009 release titled "Evangelion". The song clocks in at over eight minutes long and is one of the most atmospheric and foreboding songs in Behemoth's vast catalogue.

The video was shot in Wroclaw, Poland and stars the song's guest vocalist, Maciej Malenczuk.

Here is a behind the scenes video of the making of 'Lucifer'.

Earlier this fall, Poland's kings of blackened Death Metal, Behemoth, returned to the stage after an extended absence. This is what "Nergal" had to say about this.

"Magick is back, my friends! We have our first 'rebirth' shows under our belt, moreover, both Poznan and Danzig were totally sold out and crowd's reactions went beyond anyone's expectations!

After completing the "Phoenix Rising" tour in Poland. Behemoth announced the "Full Of Hate" European tour with Cannibal Corpse across continental Europe February-March 2012. This not-to-be-missed tour kicks off Hamburg Germany February 9th.

Recently, Behemoth's front-man Adam "Nergal" Darski joined Full Metal Jackie on her weekly radio show to discuss all things Behemoth. During the interview, Nergal discussed the bands touring plans, which include a potential U.S. tour in the Spring of 2012. This is what he had to say:

"We're doing Poland now. It's a warm-up tour and then we're starting with Cannibal Corpse in February in Europe and actually we're putting final touches to a U.S. tour which will start on April 12. The lineup is still a secret, but probably within days or weeks it's going to be revealed to the world. All I got to say now, because I'm not really allowed to reveal any names, but it's like a dream team tour for me.

"It's going to be very underground, very dangerous and when we go on tours, especially in the U.S., we've always compromised to be on a bill with bands, bigger bands, smaller bands it doesn't matter. But sometimes it's just politics, it's labels involved, it's money and stuff that we need to compromise and there's bands that we hate, good guys, you know, but a lot of music that's on the bill it's shit, and this time, for the first time ever, it's my favorite bands on the bill. Just wait and see — it's going to be a huge surprise. It's going to be massive. It's very underground, but people will fucking love it.

"People are dying to see this kind of bill; it's going to be super-evil. It's going to be the most satanic tour that's going to invade the U.S in a long time and there's going to be no tour like that in years. That's a promise; just wait and see. I can't wait for this to happen."

In order to celebrate the return of "Nergal", Behemoth re-released "Demonica", the repackaged version of "Demonica" chronicles the earliest recordings of Polish blackened Death Metal legends Behemoth! "Demonica" will include two booklets; a 28 page booklet and a 16 page booklet with rare photos and lyrics that were not included with the original release. Here is an mp3 for the track 'Summoning of the Ancient Gods' off the upcoming reissue.

Behemoth Destroys the Citizens of Katowice & Wroclaw!

This past weekend, the citizens of the Polish cities of Katowice and Wroclaw, welcomed extreme blackened Death Metal meisters Behemoth with their Horns Up!

The band expected it would take some time to return to form, but so far, they are ahead of schedule. As we all know, Behemoth had to take a forced musical break when Adam Michał Darski (A.K.A. Nergal) was diagnosed with Leukemia in August of 2010. Here is an update from Nergal after the bands first few performances since he was able to rejoin the musical spectrum.

"Things are going better than expected. I was really thinking it’d take more time for us to adjust to live circumstances after such a long break. Surprisingly, we are catching up real fast. Shows in Katowice and Wroclaw belong to the best ones we’ve ever played in Poland! Both venues we completely sold out. I already can’t wait next round this coming weekend. Warsaw, be warned!"

Behemoth has one show left on their "Phoenix Rising" tour in Poland. The show is October 21st in Warsaw, Poland. Many more tour dates are being booked in addition to the "Full Of Hate" tour with Cannibal Corpse across continental Europe February-March 2012.

Behemoth - Music Video Premiere for 'Lucifer'!

Poland's Heavy Metal meisters Behemoth have teamed up again with Grupa 13 to produce a music video for their song 'Lucifer'; which is a track taken from their 2009 release titled "Evangelion".

Back in print and newly repackaged, "Demonica" chronicles the earliest recordings of Polish blackened Death Metal legends Behemoth! "Demonica" will include two booklets; a 28 page booklet and a 16 page booklet with rare photos and lyrics that were not included with the original release. Painstakingly compiled by the band, and in particular, front-man and founding member Nergal, who had this to say about compiling lyrics:

"Finding and collecting all the lyrics was a difficult task, demanding patience and time. With an aim of preserving the so-called historical authenticity, I have resolved to forward the lyrics in their original form, even though some of the language mistakes in them may obscure the overall meaning of the work… The fact that none of them has ever been published before, speaks of their exceptional collectors or even historical value… All the lyrics, despite their imperfections and just terrible English, depict me from the time of their creation. I still believe that it was a very straightforward and honest material, which had its mighty influence on who I am today."

"Demonica" will be available in North America November 22 in North America, via Metal Blade Records.

Disc 1:

1. Of My Worship
2. Summoning of the Ancient Gods
3. The Arrival (Instrumental)
4. Dark Triumph
5. Monumentum (Instrumental)
6. Rise of the Blackstorm of Evil
7. Aggressor
8. Goat With a Thousand Young (Instrumental)
9. Bless Thee for Granting Me Pain

6. Fields of Haar-Meggido
7. Deathcrush (Mayhem cover)
8. Moonspell Rites

Behemoth - Behind the Scenes of the making-of Video for "Lucifer"

Poland's Heavy Metal meisters Behemoth have teamed up again with Grupa 13 to produce a behind the scenes video during the production of Behemoth's video for "Lucifer". A track taken from their 2009 release titled "Evangelion". The song clocks in at over eight minutes long and is one of the most atmospheric and foreboding songs in Behemoth's vast catalogue.

The video was shot in Wroclaw, Poland and stars the song's guest vocalist, Maciej Malenczuk. The video is currently being edited and will see a worldwide premiere this September. Behemoth set the bar high with their last video, which was also a Grupa 13 collaboration, "Alas, Lord is Upon Me".

"It's crazy. The making of video is 10 minutes long and you watch it like it was 3 minutes… it's so intense and still, doesn't look like anything we've done before! "Lucifer" was a huge artistic challenge and I managed to create a VERY unique atmosphere. Watch and enjoy while waiting for the final result. The video's gonna fuckin' slay!" - Behemoth front man, Nergal

On other news, Nergal was acquitted for the second time for bible-tearing in Poland, here is what he had to say about this.

"I really had so much faith in judges. The verdict seems to be right. Intelligence and truth won over backward thinking and conservative attitudes; though I'm aware of the fact it's not over yet. The battle is won but the war is on…"

Behemoth is Back in Black!

As we all know, Behemoth had to take a forced break when their vocalist/guitar Adam "Nergal" Darski was diagnosed with Leukemia early last year. In order for Nergal to get the treatment he needed, his fans united in order to find him a match that could donate some bone marrow in order for Nergal to be able to get a bone marrow transplant. Following the chemo therapy, and the bone marrow transplant, today Nergal is cancer free!

After over a year of not rehearsing together, Behemoth are back in the rehearsal space working on old and new songs. This is what Nergal had to say about this:

"Sooo, first rehearsals after the transplant are under our belts! I didn't want to get overexcited at first, just wanted to see how things would go, but I have to tell you… the second rehearsal we fuckin' nailed "Ov Fire And The Void", "Lucifer", "Conquer All" or "Antichristian Phenomenon" flawlessly! One of us even asked: 'Did we really take a year off from each other?' Ha ha… it was good times in great company! But the biggest surprise were the songs we NEVER played live ever and planning to do on the upcoming "Phoenix Rising Tour". I won't reveal any names yet, let it be a mystery til we hit the stage, all right?"

"In other news, I started jamming out some NEW shit too… too early to give any further comments but it sounds VERY disturbing and eerie. Can't fuckin wait to unleash those ideas to my friends…"

We are very stoked to be able to report that Behemoth is back in black, and gearing up for many more years of killer music! Nergal, we are happy to have you back, and that you are healthy again! \m/
