Catch Rex Brown & Vinny Appice Live This Summer With KILL DEVIL HILL - Tour Dates Available!

KILL DEVIL HILL
the NEW project featuring acclaimed drummer Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell, Dio) and bassist Rex Brown, (Pantera, Down) guitar slinger Mark Zavon and lead vocalist Dewey Bragg have confirmed a NEW string of tour dates for late this summer beginning August 1st.  More dates are expected to be announced shortly. A list of confirmed dates can be found below.

KILL DEVIL HILL's self-titled debut album was released May 22nd via Steamhammer/SPV and landed at #9 on the Billboard Top New Artist Albums (HeatSeekers) Chart, #41 on the Top Hard Music Chart and #50 on the Independent Album Chart.

The album is available in a standard CD edition, iTunes digital download, and Double Gatefold LP. It is available for purchase on AMAZON.

The band recently released a video for the single "Strange". Check it out now!

It's not easy to say what catches the listener's attention first on Kill Devil Hill, the debut album by the newly formed band of the same name: the strong guitar hooks, the killer grooves, the dynamic production or the potent vocal melodies. Rex Brown, bassist of this supergroup and erstwhile member of Pantera and Down sees KILL DEVIL HILL in its entirety as an extremely exciting NEW band "To me, this band is a musical adventure trip," he reckons. Brown knows what he's talking about, after all he was involved in some of the most important Rock and Metal recordings of the past 30 years. So if Brown can hardly contain his enthusiasm, there must be something special to the KILL DEVIL HILL phenomenon.

THE MELVINS To Seek Guinness World Record: 51 Date Fall Tour In 50 States In 51 Shows!

The Melvins will attempt to become the Guinness World Record holders for the first band to tour the full United States and D.C. in 51 days with a tour kicking off September 5 in Anchorage, Alaska and wrapping up October 25 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

"We figured it was time for us to do something REALLY crazy," said Osborne. "51 shows in 50 states plus 1 on D.C. and all in 51 days?  Jeez!  I wonder if we can do it?"

The tour, which will feature the Melvins Lite line-up of Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover and Trevor Dunn, also marks the first time in the band's near 30-year history that they will perform in Alaska, New Hampshire, Delaware and Hawaii.

Watch The Melvins Performance of "The War on Wisdom" from a recent episode of Last Call with Carson Daly:

Arriving in-stores and online today is 'Freak Puke', the debut release from Melvins Lite that Spin recently described as "a unique detour for the long-running band" and adding "one of the loudest bands on earth has perfectly siphoned their gloomy energy into evil cocktail jazz."

"We had seen Trevor playing upright bass in a jazz setting and thought that we could utilize that for a recording project," explained Crover. "This is something different from the two drummer/big hair line-up, which we plan on continuing with as well."

    Trevor Dunn

Prior to the Fall, the Melvins have a full spate of appearances. The band perform two shows in conjunction with Subliminal Projects: June 8 at The Echoplex in Los Angeles and June 30 at  TT Underground Gallery in New York. Watch RINGWORM's Music Video For "Used Up, Spit Out"!

Cleveland Hardcore Metal act RINGWORM, has debuted a music video for “Used” Up, Spit Out”, off their latest album, 'Scars', released on July 19, 2011. Directed by Don Tyler, RINGWORM delivers a powerful, hard hitting and in your face music video.

Human Furnace said, “We had this great opportunity to use this huge, open, dirty space and pretty much had a skeleton crew to do the video with 2 cameras and a giant crane. Good times! Every video we do I end up completely filthy afterwards. Guess that's my thing, plus the rest of the band got to hurl big rocks and clumps of dirt at the back of my head for a few minutes, so I'm sure they enjoyed that. We are really happy with the way things turned out. Don Tyler and the rest of the guys did a great job on short notice and with a shoestring budget. This is just a warm-up video, we got something really awesome planned for the next one no doubt.”

NEW Melvins EP "The Bulls & The Bees" Is Available Now Thanks To Scion A/V!

Scion A/V has partnered with the Melvins for an EP titled 'Scion A/V Presents: The Bulls & The Bees', a five-song collection that marks the band's first original material since their 2010 album 'The Bride Screamed Murder'. The release is available today as a FREE download via Scion A/V's website.

A video for "The War on Wisdom," which features a re-enacted, early incarnation of the Melvins is available now thanks to Brooklyn Vegan.com.

The Melvins formed in 1983, kicking off what would be a seismic shift in heavy music and focusing the epicenter of modern music firmly on the Pacific Northwest for the next decade plus. The band blended punk, metal, hard rock to create a new subgenre that has been tagged with a variety of labels including sludge, grunge and doom and won a cult of fans that have yet to waiver some twenty-nine years into the band's career. Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover have been the band's constants (Crover joined in 1984) with Big Business' Jared Warren and Coady Willis joining the band in 2006 for (A) Senile Animal.

"The Melvins have remained such a consistent presence in heavy music," says Jeri Yoshizu, manager of sales promotions for Scion. "It's an honor to have them create an original release for Scion A/V."

Osborne described Scion A/V Presents: The Bulls & The Bees as "amazing in its noisy calm intensity." The physical release will be available at Scion Partners retail stores. For more information about the Scion Partner program and to find retail stores, visit www.scionav.com/partners.

Scion A/V Presents: The Bulls & The Bees Track Listing:

FEAR FACTORY Announce Album Release Date; Additional Performances Added To U.S. Tour!

Candlelight Records today confirms June 5 as the North American release date for FEAR FACTORY's NEW album, 'The Industrialist'. Produced by the band with Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly), the album was mixed by Greg Reely (Paradise Lost/Skinny Puppy/Machine Head). It features additional tracking by Logan Mader (Gojira/Divine Heresy/Five Finger Death Punch) and artwork by Anthony Clarkson (Devin Townsend).

The Industrialist is a conceptual album that brings to life a story scripted by vocalist Burton C. Bell. The album's lyrics detail the plot of the original narrative while delivering FEAR FACTORY's massive signature sound.

"The album is a futuristic tale of an automaton, striving to survive by fighting for its existence within a desperate world. The lyrics tell the story while the music takes our industrial roots and blends them more perfectly than ever with our Metal edge. And all without losing the sound that makes FEAR FACTORY a machine of sonic devastation. FEAR FACTORY fans of any era will not be disappointed." - Burton C. Bell (Vocalist)

Clocking in at just under one hour, the album's ten songs again unite Bell with guitarist Dino Cazares. It is the second album written by the duo, reuniting in 2009 after a seven year split. Cazares says, "collaborating with Burton again on the NEW album was like magic. Everything just fell into place naturally. It felt good to recapture the true sound of FEAR FACTORY, taking it back to where it all started while raising it to NEW levels."

'The Industrialist' again pairs FEAR FACTORY with long-time friend Rhys Fulber. Their collaborations together include five albums and two remixes, including the certified gold album 'Obsolete'. "Rhys has been our secret member," shares Cazares. "He is the one producer who has been able to understand what we have been trying to accomplish from the beginning and has opened our eyes to NEW things without sacrificing our original sound. His talents in production and keyboard/samples has made FEAR FACTORY stand out amongst the many bands of our genre."

'The Industrialist' follows the 2010 release of 'Mechanize'. Widely regarded, the album was the first release from the band in six years and the first NEW material from the nucleus of Bell and Cazares since 2002. The album debuted on Billboard's Top 100 album chart week of release and continues to sell in early 2012. Sirius XM/Headbangers Ball's host Jose Mangin comments, “after Mechanize dominated 2010 as Liquid Metal’s Album Of The Year, North America is chompin’ at the bit to get an ear full of NEW FEAR FACTORY. I have no doubt that FEAR FACTORY are going to kick our collective asses in 2012."

Revolver editor Brandon Geist adds, "in the '90s, FEAR FACTORY's founding duo of Burton C. Bell and Dino Cazares changed the sound of Metal, from the way that Metal vocalists sing to the way that Metal and electronic music can be fused together. With 2010's reunion album, 'Mechanize', their partnership proved to be as lethal as ever. Though 2012 promises plenty of massive Heavy Music releases, there isn't a record that I'm looking forward to more than The Industrialist."

FEAR FACTORY recently announced their first tour dates since 2011. Joining them for the tour that is set to kick off on May 1 is Boston's SHADOWS FALL, Kansas City-based The Browning, Riverside, California’s The Devastated, and Legacy Of Disorder from New Zealand. Biohazard's Billy Graziadei Discusses 'Reborn In Defiance' At Hometown CD Release Show!

The highly anticipated ninth studio album by Biohazard is called 'Reborn In Defiance' and is set to be released tomorrow, Friday, January 20th. The expectations are high, and while many mistakenly thought that the band was finished once Evan Seinfeld (co-founder, singer, bassist) left the band last summer, the Heavy Music world will be caught in a devastating hurricane of musical greatness once the masses are infected with the NEW Biohazard!

After giving this album numerous spins, we truly believe that this is a contender for comeback album of the year. After seeing them perform a slew of these NEW songs this this past Tuesday (January 17) in New York City, during their hometown CD release show, Biohazard proved that they still have the attitude, energy, and powerful music that made them break all sound barriers when they arrived to the Heavy Music scene in the late 80s.

Before the event was kicked off by New York City Metallers Wrench and Ikillya, we had the chance to chat with Billy Graziadei (co-founder, vocalist, guitarist) about the bands perseverance, the challenges they have faced, and Biohazard's ninth studio album, which marks the first time in 18 years that the band records an album with their original lineup (Evan Seinfeld, Bobby Hambel, Billy Graziadei & Danny Schuler). Produced Toby Wright (Alice in Chains, Metallica), the NEW Biohazard album will be available worldwide January 20th, 2012 via Nuclear Blast Records.
