Recently, New York City experienced a mental snowstorm. The city was halted, and covered in evil white powder. Many blamed it on global warming, but we believe that Gwar decided to bring the Antarctica weather to the center of the world!
After hiking through tons of snow, we finally arrived in Times Square and made our way to the Best Buy Theater. Once inside we realized that the turnout was pretty weak! Was this because Oderus decided to interrupt the flow of the New York City transit system, or were some fans being lame and allowed the snow to beat their desire to see one of the best live bands in history?
Regardless of the turnout, we were on a mission. That mission? To interview Oderus right before the bands performance, and to experience Gwar’s show for the first time ever.
As soon as we got backstage, we could smell the stench of Gwar! Next thing we know, this enormous beast comes out and threatens to eat us alive! Once we started talking to the Oderus, we realized that behind the beast there is a man who knows exactly how to piss people off and make them laugh at the same time. He was very fun to interview, and was very appreciative about having Horns Up Rocks interviewing him. As soon as we were done with the interview, the beast was unleashed into hundreds of fans that were hungry for some GWAR!
During their epic performance, the band sounded tight as hell, and obviously shot all sorts of liquids into the crowd! The kids loved it, and wanted more of that Gwar juice. Next thing you know, Oderus introduces Sarah Palin and decides to kill her! You would think that pop star diva Lady Gaga would be save from Gwar's stage antics, but nobody is save when Gwar is on stage! Oderus is so sick of Gaga, that he decided to implant a toilet on her and to wash her hair with feces!
What else happened during Gwar’s show? Watch this exclusive video that we produced for you! It features tons of live footage and an exclusive interview with Oderus Urungus!
WARNING: Explicit Content!
We want to thank our good friends Evelyn Ellison and Ali Megatroid for all their help! And Jon Freeman for making the interview happen!

Crowbar has represented Heavy Music since 1989, and they have never released an album that sucks. Simply because Crowbar's front-man Kirk Windstein has always written music from the soul, packed with monstrous riffs. In our opinion, Kirk's guitar tone defines what a Heavy Metal guitar should sound like!
This Friday night come to Idle Hands Bar and get Crowbent at the official listening party for Crowbar's upcoming release: "Sever The Wicked Hand" (in stores February 8, 2011).
Here are all the details: WHAT: Crowbar "Sever The Wicked Hand" official listening party WHEN: January 7th, 2011 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm WHERE: Idle Hands Bar: 25 Avenue B (Downstairs), New York, New York 10009
In case you missed this, here is an exclusive interview we did with Kirk Windstein right after Crowbar's show here in New York City!
