As previously reported, SLAYER's classic song "Raining Blood", taken from one of he most influential Heavy Metal albums of all time ('Reign In Blood), was picked by Google for a 30 second commercial. The commercial is for Google's NEW Chromebooks by Samsung. The commercial is part of Google's NEW campaign that is designed around the "a computer for everyone" theme. Watch it HERE.

Slayer recently wrote Heavy Metal history as they performed in India for the first time in the bands career. The bands historic performance took place at the Vladivar Rock 'N India event in Bangalore, India. Footage available HERE!

As previously announced, SLAYER have two songs recorded for their next batch of NEW music. Kerry King recently announced that they have two more songs in the grill, that are missing vocals and leads. During a recent interview with Artisan News, King spoke about the NEW album and whither or not Jeff Hanneman's spider bite injury will delay the production of the record.

Has Jeff Hanneman's injury delayed the NEW SLAYER?

"Not yet. We've recorded very little. We got a little bit done. We had a 12-day window where we hijacked [producer] Greg Fidelman from METALLICA and worked with him a little bit. So we've got two [new songs] done; they've gotta be mixed. We've got two other ones that need vocals and leads. [There are] three other demos and three other [tracks] we still have to demo. But [this summer's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tour] is the last thing we're doing, so hopefully we'll get [the rest of the album] done before we pick up and tour again in October."

Jeff Hanneman's flesh eating disease.

"You hear about it, but I didn't even think we had that kind of spider in California. And I really think at the end of the day it's a speculation, because his arm was so fucked up, I can't imagine them even finding where they think it started, if you had my opinion. But, you know, that flesh-eating stuff, you can get scratched by a nail, you can get scratched by anything, and if you don't take care of it, it's gonna turn into something like that. But whatever got him, that is what happened — he had had the disease."

SLAYER's Kerry King: "Two new SLAYER tracks are done, but they're just not mixed"

Recently, MTV's "Alternative Nation" conducted an interview with Kerry King when SLAYER performed in Romania on June 4 in front of more than 3,000 people at Arenele Romane in Bucharest.

UPDATE on Jeff Hannemann:

"Jeff is… If you look at him, he looks fine. But playing the intricate things that we do, he's not ready to do that. He doesn't know if he has the stamina for an hour-and-fifteen-minute set. He can play any of the slower stuff and do it just like the record. But we made a name for ourselves, historically, for being good live, so we had to make the decision and say, 'You've gotta get better before you try to come back. If you come back, make it a special thing, not just an adequate thing.'"

NEW music:

"[The two new SLAYER tracks] are done, but they're just not mixed," he said. "It's [like], do you put them out now or do you just wait for the [full-length] record to be done [and include them as part of the final package]? We're gona finish the record September-October. So I, myself, would rather wait, because I don't like to put those two songs out and then include them on the record. In my thinking, if you put those two songs out, then make ten more songs and put those two on that album just as an afterthought. But I feel like I've gotta give people ten new songs. That's why on the last one [2009's 'World Painted Blood'] we did 11, 'cause 'Psychopathy Red' was already out. So [the two new songs are] done. We'll see what the record company proposes. I think they've been talking about an EP, which is kind of a throwback to the '80s, which is really cool, I think. But we'll just have to see."

Slayer's "Reign In Blood" - 25th Anniversary (10/7/1986 - 10/7/2011)

Slayer's "Reign In Blood" is arguably the best Heavy Metal record in history. Released on this date in 1986, 25 years ago, there is no question that "Reign In Blood" changed the sonic spectrum within Heavy Music. "Reign In Blood" was recorded in Los Angeles, California and released on October 7th, 1986 via Def Jam recordings.

This classic record was also the first one in which the band hired legendary producer Rick Rubin, who has an extensive working relationship with the band and who many believe help to shape up Slayer's sonic madness. He has actually produced every single Slayer record ever since "Reign In Blood".

- The band's first collaboration with Rick Rubin, whose input helped the band's sound evolve.

- "Reign in Blood" was responsible for bringing Slayer to the attention of a mainstream Heavy Metal audience.

- Considered by critics one of the most influential Heavy Metal albums of all time.

- The albums release was delayed because of its graphic artwork and lyrical subject matter.

- The song "Angel of Death" refers to Josef Mengele and describes acts, such as human experimentation, that Mengele committed at the Auschwitz concentration camp, provoked allegations of Nazism. The band has stated numerous times they do not condone Nazism.

- Slayer's first album to enter the Billboard 200; the release peaked at number 94, and was certified 2x Platinum on November 20, 1992.

America's scariest band of all time, the mighty SLAYER, will make history again. For the first time in the bands phenomenal career, the band will release 10 original SLAYER albums from American Recordings. From those 10 albums, 8 have been out of print for years, some even for decades. This is why the band decided to put them all in a limited collectors edition black and bloody casemade box. They have appropiately named this special collectors item "The Vinyl Conflict".

This collection of mayhem includes 10 albums, ranging from 1986's "Reign In Blood" to 2009's World Painted Blood. Here is the full list:

Each album has been remastered from the original tapes and has been pressed on high quality 180-gram audiophile vinyl. The collection also includes reproductions of the original LP artwork, including inner sleeve art, all in heavyweight, litho-wrapped chip jackets.
