YES YES YES! Rancid is the headliner of this year's Black N’ Blue Bowl 2012!
Rancid, along with Sheer Terror (the band released a very strong EP in 2011), Youth Of Today (allegedly their last show ever), Outburst, among other pioneers of the genre, will join forces on one of the most intense Hardcore Punk shows of the year.
The final line-up for this year’s mighty Black N’ Blue Bowl was announced tonight Tuesday March 13, on the East Village Radio show "Black N Blue Takeover".
Black N Blue Productions never ceases to impress year after year, with a roster of the most beloved Hardcore bands in existence, along with great young opening bands, plus special guests.
A very special tribute to Warzone’s Raybeez, one of New York Hardcore’s fallen heroes, will take place at this festival. The tribute will be a Warzone set done by the band’s remaining members, plus some of the NYHC all-stars.
As mentioned by Cuz Joe on the radio show, BN’B productiones were approached by Warzone members to have such tribute take place. No better event than the bowl, as it continues strong with another successful year.
The bowl will take place once again at Webster Hall (formerly known as The Ritz), in New York city on May 19th 2012.

Hardcore lives!
Biohazard will be kicking off their 18 month world tour today (January 17) at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City. Additionally, the band will be presenting their brand NEW studio album entitled 'Reborn In Defiance' and it marks the first time in 18 years that the band records an album with their original lineup (Evan Seinfeld, Bobby Hambel, Billy Graziadei & Danny Schuler). Produced Toby Wright (Alice in Chains, Metallica), the NEW Biohazard album will be available worldwide January 20th, 2012 via Nuclear Blast Records.
The bands world tour also includes a co-headline with Suicidal Tendencies on the 'Persistence Tour' in Europe, a short UK tour, several northeast dates with NYHC legends Madball, and the 'Soundwave Festival' in Australia (see below for tourdates). Here is what Biohazard's Billy Graziadei had to say about their upcoming hometown CD Release show.
Beginning at 8pm ET and continuing until Midnight, Black N Blue Takeover will be streaming live from the Biohazard show at NYC’s Gramercy Theater. In addition to Black N Blue’s usual balls-to-the-wall programming, the crew will be streaming three songs from Biohazard’s set as well as a couple tunes from openers Wisdom In Chains. So, basically, you’ve got four hours of Black N Blue Takeover tonight with some killer live jams mixed in. To prepare for the event, check out last week's show featuring members of Biohazard and start nailing down the furniture in your living room should a mosh pit develop.
