HAVOK Are D O N E With Their NEW Record; Band To Devastate North America!

Following the completion of their NEW record 'Unnatural Selection', the band’s third full-length album for Candlelight Records, produced by guitarist David Sanchez and mixed by Terry Date (Pantera, Overkill, Deftones), HAVOK today announce their first headlining tour of North America. Dates are set to commence July 22 and will see the band journey through the southern states, travelling up the eastern seaboard before making their debut performance at Montreal’s annual Heavy MTL festival on August 11. The tour will be in support of their forthcoming NEW album, 'Unnatural Selection', set for release June 25.
The album features original artwork from Polish illustrator Rafal Wechterowicz (Slayer, Mastodon) and was mastered by James Murphy (Aborted, World Under Blood, Abigail Williams). Lead single, “Give Me Liberty… Or Give Me Death,” is set to impact Loud Rock/Metal Radio May 27. The topical thrash anthem delivers the young band’s classic thrash and old school Metal sound.

Candlelight Records launched the CD-only pre-order last week at the label’s official webstore HERE. The band has launched exclusive bundle packages via their official store. All bundle customers will be entered to win a golden ticket contest. One winner will be picked at random and will receive an autographed Charvel guitar, and one of everything in the HAVOK merch store. Go HERE for further details.

HAVOK, called “the finest thrash band in existence” by PopDose, released their full-length debut, Burn, in 2009.  Time Is Up would follow in 2011.  “HAVOK have hit their stride,” said Decibel Magazine.  “HAVOK is everything that is great about thrash,” added Terrorizer.  In 2012, the band released their EP Point of No Return; videos for the EP’s two original songs were released earlier this year.  The videos have had over 200,000 views since release.  The band plans three new videos for Unnatural Selection; details forthcoming. HAVOK Premiere Video For “From The Cradle To The Grave” In Anticipation Of Their NEW Album!

Denver thrashers HAVOK have premiered their latest video for the song "From The Cradle To The Grave" from their 2012 EP, 'The Point Of No Return'. The video, directed by Roy Warner, was filmed on location in Detroit during the band’s final tour of 2012 alongside Skeletonwitch. The premiere coincides with the band’s continued work on their anticipated Terry Date produced third full-length album. Watch it now!



HAVOK fans can expect the Denver-based thrashers to keep an active schedule for 2013. Sanchez says, “We’re currently wrapped up in the studio writing our NEW album. We should be finished recording in March and then, in usual HAVOK fashion, we’ll tour practically all year! There are lots of exciting things coming up in 2013. THE CASUALTIES Announce U.S. Headlining Tour With GOATWHORE & HAVOK!

Infamous New York City street punks THE CASUALTIES have announced their first U.S. headlining dates of 2013. The band will co-headline a string of southern and west coast dates with GOATWHORE in March and April. Additional support will come from HAVOK. The trek starts on March 27th, in Houston, TX and runs through April 9th, in Seattle, WA. A full listing of confirmed dates is below.

THE CASUALTIES are touring in support of their latest album, 'Resistance' (released by Season of Mist September 2012). The Zeuss-produced effort is their ninth full-length album and can be streamed HERE.

The band recently completed an extensive European headlining tour that took them through ten countries over three weeks.

HAVOK Premiere Music Video For “Point Of No Return”!

HAVOK’s latest video has premiered today via Bloody Disgusting. “Point Of No Return” is the title track to the band’s EP, released last Spring as a tide-me-over while the band continued their non-stop touring. The video was directed by Roy Warner and filmed on location in Detroit, Michigan.

Discussing the video, vocalist/guitarist Dave Sanchez elaborates, "The lyrics of ‘Point Of No Return’ are highly interpretable, but the message of the video pretty simple: The world as we know it is a delicate place and we have never had such a high capacity to destroy the human race as we do now. At some point, our self-made concoction of nuclear/biological weaponry, ancient superstitious beliefs, nationalism, corruption, ignorance, and conflicting ideologies is going to become lethal, on a global scale. We live in a time like no other and it’s obvious that if we don’t change our behavior, it’s only a matter of time before the world is extinguished at the hand of fanatics. It’s literally within everyone’s power to leave the world a little nicer than we found it. Don’t believe everything you’re told: Think for yourself.”

Director Roy Warner notes, “Working with the guys from HAVOK was great. They had awesome ideas to start out with and build from; wanting to showcase real life as the concept. It really illustrates the depths of human depravity in the past, present and what we can expect from the future if attitudes don’t change.”

FEAR FACTORY Announce Tour Cancellation Due To Reasons Beyond Their Control!

Due to reasons well beyond the band’s control, FEAR FACTORY will not be taking part in this Summer’s "Shockwave Tour", slated to commence tomorrow (July 6) in Seattle.

Commented the band in a collective statement: "We are truly disappointed not to be part of the 'Shockwave Tour'. We send our sincerest apologies to all our North American fans planning to come out this Summer, but we will be back. Please look for FEAR FACTORY headlining dates in August."

Added Shockwave organizers: "It is with great disappointment that we have to make this announcement. With the recent departure of VOIVOD from the Shockwave festival lineup, as well as low advance ticket sales, we have decided to pull the plug on the Shockwave festival.

"For purchases made with a credit card, your card will automatically be refunded. All other refunds are available at point of purchase.

"We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused."

FEAR FACTORY recently unleashed their latest full-length, 'The Industrialist' via Candlelight Records. Commended by Revolver in a 4/5 review for offering up "the same pulsating, angry urgency of old… nicely counterbalanced by some incredibly deft melodies", called "…a well-orchestrated montage of universal agitation and despair", by Alarm, and crowned "…their most aggressive offering to date", by Exclaim, 'The Industrialist' is the second album written by vocalist Burton C. Bell and guitarist Dino Cazares since reuniting in 2009 after a seven-year split.

FEAR FACTORY, the last band standing from the lineup of the "Shockwave 2012" tour, has now dropped off from the tour. “We are truly disappointed not to be part of the Shockwave tour. We send our sincerest apologies to all our North American fans planning to come out this summer, but we will be back. Please look for FEAR FACTORY headline dates in August."

BREAKING NEWS: "Shockwave Festival" 2012 Cancelled!

Yesterday (July 3rd), Canadian Metallers VOIVOD confirmed that they dropped off the inaugural "Shockwave 2012" tour, which was scheduled to kick off on July 6 in Seattle, Washington. Here is a statement the band posted on their Facebook page:

Following VOIVOD's decision to drop off from the tour were CATTLE DECAPITATION, MISERY INDEX and HAVOK. Which only leaves FEAR FACTORY on board (the rest of the bands on the bill had already dropped off). According to some reliable sources FEAR FACTORY have already been looking to jump on another tour.

While the organizers of "Shockwave Festival" haven't confirmed or denied the cancellation of the tour, without the bands there is no show. Stay tuned more more information!

SEPULTURA Single-handily Changed Heavy Music With 'Arise' & Are Still A Force To Be Reckoned With! Images From The "Kairos Tour" Available!

When SEPULTURA released their groundbreaking record 'Arise' on March 20, 1991, the face of Heavy Music was changed forever! "When this album was released it became the biggest seller in Roadrunner history and firmly established both the band and Roadrunner Records", commented Monte Conner (Senior Vice President of A&R for Roadrunner Records). " It is still hands down a Speed/Thrash Metal record but you can hear the beginnings of the modern Sepultura sound that would fully bloom on 'Chaos A.D.' in Max’s more enunciated vocal delivery and his NEW less-is-more lyrical approach (due undoubtedly to his improvements in speaking English). Here, Max is really starting to shine as a powerful Metal singer and band leader. I still think the lobster claws on the cover are cheesy but the fans love that art and it has become an iconic piece. This was the first time that Max worked with Andy Wallace and it was a collaboration that would continue through Soulfly’s 'Primitive' in 1998."

Today, SEPULTURA is still going strong! After various lineup changes, more specifically the departure of brothers and co-founders Max and Iggor Cavalera, the band is still making music and touring the entire planet. Recently, SEPULTURA wrapped up the "North American Kairos Tour" at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City. Joining the Kings of Tribal Metal were fellow Brazilian Metallers KRISIUN, as well as the legendary Thrash Metal band DEATH ANGEL. Opening every night of the "Kairos Tour" were new comers HAVOK.

Prior to the show we had the chance to chat with SEPULTURA's legendary guitarist Andreas Kisser. During part one of the conversation, which came to a halt when RAMMSTEIN was suddenly cranked all over the venue, we had the chance to talk to Andreas about the "North American Kairos Tour" and how he and Paolo Jr. have managed to keep the bands legacy intact! Recently, SEPULTURA wrapped up the "North American Kairos Tour" at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City. Joining the Kings of Tribal Metal were fellow Brazilian Metallers KRISIUN, as well as the legendary Thrash Metal band DEATH ANGEL. Opening every night of the "Kairos Tour" were new comers HAVOK.

After a decade of being unavailable DEATH ANGEL is pleased to announce the 25th anniversary reissue of their classic debut album! Ted Aguilar Discusses Death Angel's NEXT Album, Anthrax & Testament Tour; Touring Plans For 2012!

Anthrax, Testament and Death Angel, recently concluded the second leg of their highly anticipated tour. The three Thrash Metal titans destroyed, erased and improved the ears of tens of thousands of North American Headbangers! And even though the tour was full of ups and downs for the Anthrax boys, their peers in both Testament and Death Angel demonstrated what true Metal brotherhood is, and stepped in to make sure the tour went on as scheduled.

On Wednesday, February 8, we had the chance to catch the last show of the second leg of the tour at the Best Buy Theater in New York City, and to say that it was an epic night of Old School Metal, is definitely an understatement.

Before doors opened, the kids were lining up anxiously as they were waiting to smash into the venue to catch one of the best concert lineups of the year! Prior to the thrashing festivities, we had the chance to sit down and chat with Death Angel guitarist Ted Aguilar.
