Nine Inch Nails Are D O N E Recording, NEW Album Out This Year!

Oh yeah! Trent Reznor has confirmed that NINE INCH NAILS are done recording their eight studio album. In a press release, Reznor said:

"I've been less than honest about what I've really been up to lately. For the last year I've been secretly working non-stop with Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder on a NEW, full-length Nine Inch Nails record, which I am happy to say is finished and frankly fucking great. This is the real impetus and motivation behind the decision to assemble a new band and tour again. My forays into film, HTDA and other projects really stimulated me creatively and I decided to focus that energy on taking Nine Inch Nails to a new place. Here we go!"

NINE INCH NAILS Announce Their First Few Comeback Concerts!

In case you missed it, earlier this week Trent Reznor posted this message regarding the future of NINE INCH NAILS:
"Nine Inch Nails are touring this year.
"I was working with Adrian Belew on some musical ideas, which led to some discussion on performing, which led to some beard-scratching, which (many steps later) led to the decision to re-think the idea of what Nine Inch Nails could be, and the idea of playing a show. Calls were made to some friends, lots of new ideas were discussed, and a show was booked - which led to another, which somehow led to a lot of shows.
"The band is reinventing itself from scratch and will be comprised of Eric Avery, Adrian Belew, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, Ilan Rubin, and me. The first shows will begin this summer, followed by a full-on arena tour of the US this fall, and lots of other dates worldwide to follow through 2014.

"Lots of details and dates to come. See you soon."

- Trent Reznor
Trent has already booked the following gigs:
Fuji Rocks Festival, which takes place from July 26 to 28 in Niigata, Japan, and Rock ‘n’ Heim Festival, which takes place July 16 to 18 in Hockenheim, Germany. We are pretty sure more tour dates will be announced soon, so stay tuned!

Trent Reznor Announces The Return Of NINE INCH NAILS - Statement Available!

Last year, Trent Reznor told Rolling Stone that NINE INCH NAILS is working on NEW material. In an interview surrounding Black Ops 2, Reznor was asked about the likelihood of new NIN music. "All signs point to yes," he said. Pressed further, he added, "Yeah, there will be new music. There are some things in the works."

Those "things" could also include live performing again. "Yeah, if it feels right, it's a possibility," he says. "I never said that that wasn't going to happen, just that it couldn't go on as it was. Having a few years doing other things, I've enjoyed [them] and I'm enjoying doing How to Destroy Angels, and there will be a place for stuff that falls in the Nine Inch Nails column of things. It's a different kind of work. Stay tuned. We'll see what happens here."

Well, guess what? Reznor has announced that NINE INCH NAILS is back!

HOW TO DESTROY ANGELS: TRENT REZNOR Breaks His Silence And Announces NEW Label Home!

Have you been wondering why the multifaceted musician Trent Reznor has been up to? After en extended absence from the music world, has broken his silence. Here is what Reznor posted on his Facebook page:

"Sorry for the radio silence lately... I've been busy! There's a number of things to be revealed over the coming months. Some you may expect, others you may not. Patience, my friends.

"Today's news is about my band How To Destroy Angels. I'm happy to announce we've formally partnered with Columbia Records for our next series of releases. The first of these will be available in November and it's called An Omen EP. As you may have guessed, it's an EP. It contains six songs, some of which are from our full-length LP which is coming early next year.
We are making some videos, we are going to be performing live, and that's all the details I have for now on those matters.

"Regarding our decision to sign with Columbia, we've really spent a long time thinking about things and it makes sense for a lot of reasons, including a chance to work with our old friend Mark Williams. There's a much more granular and rambling answer I could give (and likely will in an interview someplace) but it really comes down to us experimenting and trying new things to see what best serves our needs. Complete independent releasing has its great points but also comes with shortcomings.

"We are all very excited about you checking out the new stuff. Wish I could tell you more, but you know how this works... it would take all the fun out of it!"

Watch This Hilarious & Embarrassing Old School NINE INCH NAILS Video; Read What TRENT REZNOR Has To Say About It!

"Many years ago, a young and naive NINE INCH NAILS were asked what TV shows they'd be interested in appearing on. As a joke (and likely drunk), they thought of the most absurd choice they could come up with at the time. They were then informed their bluff had been called and were actually booked on said show," twitter Trent Reznor.

He continued, "They hopped in their Honda Civic touring vehicle (hatchback) and traveled many miles to (I think) NJ for the big show. They had a laugh making fun of the people, their fashion choices and hairstyles. Life was good. Years later, the internet is discovered... there's a moral in there somewhere. Come to think of it, Skrillex may indeed owe me some publishing on that hairdo."
