Hardcore is alive and well in 2013 thanks to bands like SICK OF IT ALL. Recently, the legendary band teamed up with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES and performed around the United States for a tour package that will be talked about for years. Also on the bill, were the amazing D.R.I. and WAKE THE DEAD. On Saturday, April 20, the tour package arrived to the Best Buy Theater in New York City. Prior to SICK OF IT ALL's crushing set, we had the chance to chat with drummer Armand Majidi and bassist Craig Setari. During the chat we discussed the bands NEW album plans, the evolution of Hardcore music and they even gave us the exclusive on the NEW SICK OF IT ALL hot sauce. Produced by Mike Muir and Paul Northfield (Rush, Dream Theater, Queensrÿche, Ozzy Osbourne, Hole, Marilyn Manson, Infectious Grooves), the release of '13' marks the 30th anniversary of SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. The band’s NEW full-length album, entitled 13, is available now via Amazon, iTunes, and other digital and physical music retailers.
In conjunction with the release of 13, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES will kick off a full U.S. tour, dubbed the ‘Slam City Tour’, on April 11th in San Francisco, CA. The tour features support from various champions of hardcore music both young and old. Support will range from NYC hardcore heroes MADBALL and SICK OF IT ALL to Houston greats D.R.I. The tour will include a stop at this year’s New England Metal and Hardcore Festival in Worcester, MA on April 21st. See below for all currently confirmed tour dates.

The time has come. On March 26, 2013, legendary punk/thrash icons SUICIDAL TENDENCIES will release their first new music in over 13 years. The band’s upcoming full-length, entitled 13, will be released via Suicidal Records. Produced by Mike Muir and Paul Northfield (Rush, Dream Theater, Queensrÿche, Ozzy Osbourne, Hole, Marilyn Manson, Infectious Grooves), the release of 13 marks the 30th anniversary of SUICIDAL TENDENCIES.

ENGLAND METAL & HARDCORE FESTIVAL 2013, today confirming the dates
and preliminary list of bands for this year’s occurrence of the
long-running annual event.
For the 2013 installment, the NEW
ENGLAND METAL & HARDCORE FESTIVAL will once again overthrow the
historic venue, The Palladium, in Worcester, Massachusetts, this year
marking the 15th anniversary of the iconic weekend-long gathering! The
festivities will commence with a pre-party on April 18th, 2013 and the
three official days of the fest following on the 19th, 20th, and 21st.

With more than forty acts from all realms of the extreme music world already set to storm the two stages of NEW ENGLAND METAL & HARDCORE FESTIVAL XV -- and with many more to be announced in the coming weeks -- the confirmed headliners for the event will include Hatebreed, Opeth and Suicidal Tendencies, as well as legendary thrash titans Anthrax performing their 'Among The Living' album in its entirety, as part of their headlining spot on the Metal Alliance Tour.
