REVOCATION: NEW Album Title, Artwork & Tracklisting Revealed!

REVOCATION have confirmed an August 6th release date for their new self-titled album via Relapse Records. This is their 4th full-length release and the first featuring new bassist Brett Bamberger. Today the band has unveiled the artwork and tracklisting for the album. The artwork was created by Orion Landau (Dying Fetus, Obscura, Nile).

EVILE Premiere Album Teaser For 'Skull', Listen To Samples Of Their NEW Music!

Oh yeah! Not only have EVILE revealed the cover artwork for their upcoming new album 'SKULL', but they are also premiering a trailer featuring their NEW music (see below)!

The band’s follow-up to 2011′s 'FIVE SERPENT’S TEETH' was once again recorded with producer RUSS RUSSELL (NAPALM DEATH, DIMMU BORGIR) at Parlour Studios in Kettering, England. The artwork for the album was painted by artist ELIRAN KANTOR (TESTAMENT, SODOM, HATEBREED).

EVILE drummer BEN CARTER comments:

“Evile are proud as hell to reveal the title and artwork for our fourth studio album on Earache Records, which is to be entitled ‘SKULL’. We’d like to extend our thanks to Eliran Kantor for his amazing artistic representation of our original concept, which we’ll reveal further details of in the coming weeks. Our fans can expect this album to be a return to our thrashier roots, as well as exploring new ground in typical Evile form. We’ve always said we want to progress and move forward in everything we do, and this album is no exception. CHILDREN OF BODOM Release First Trailer For Their NEW Album 'Halo Of Blood'

CHILDREN OF BODOM (COB) have selected 'Halo Of Blood' as the title of their eighth studio album that will be released on June 11th in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. Artwork was created by artist Sam Saramäki, known for his classic COB album covers for 'Follow the Reaper' (2001), 'Hate Crew Deathroll' (2003), and 'Are You Dead Yet?' (2005).

CHILDREN OF BODOM recorded 'Halo Of Blood' at Finland's Danger Johnny Studios (in a top secret, undisclosed location in Helsinki) with recording engineer Mikko Karmila, who worked on the 'Hatebreeder' (1999), 'Follow the Reaper' (2001), and 'Hate Crew Deathroll' (2003) albums. Producer Peter Tägtgren (Immortal, Marduk, Amon Amarth) oversaw production on both vocals and keyboards. The album was mixed at Finland’s famed Finnvox Studios.

Launching on June 29th in San Bernardino, California, the 5-week trek will run through August 4th in Dallas, Texas.

CHILDREN OF BODOM Announce NEW Album Title, Reveal Artwork, Track Listing & Release Date; Band To Perform At Mayhem Fest!

World renowned Finnish Heavy Metal band CHILDREN OF BODOM (COB) have selected 'Halo Of Blood' as the title of their eighth studio album that will be released on June 11th in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. Artwork was created by artist Sam Saramäki, known for his classic COB album covers for 'Follow the Reaper' (2001), 'Hate Crew Deathroll' (2003), and 'Are You Dead Yet?' (2005).

COB frontman, guitarist, and mastermind Alexi Laiho comments on the NEW album’s musical direction:

“We managed to keep 'Halo Of Blood' fresh and NEW while still maintaining the elements that make COB’s sound recognizable. It’s got the fastest and the slowest song we ever made and lyrics-wise, there are themes we had never had before. It’s ten NEW songs of pure Nordic Metal!”

Bass player Henkka Seppälä shares the following about the artwork:

"We wanted to have a winter scene. Somehow it fits well with the atmosphere of the music and the composing session. Lake Bodom, frozen, with people trapped under the ice. Very Finnish-looking scene. We were really happy how Sami created the whole imagery!"

Foo Fighters Dave Talks About Working With SOUNDGARDEN - Video Available!

On December 18, 2012, SOUNDGARDEN joined forces with Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, ex-Nirvana) to create the music video for the bands NEW song "By Crooked Steps".

The clip, which casts SOUNDGARDEN as a "Sons Of Anarchy" type of biker gang and also features electronic DJ sensation Deadmau5 in a cameo role, was directed by Grohl. Here is what Grohl had to say about working with SOUNDGARDEN:

Norway Endorses Our Music Unlike Other Countries, ENSLAVED Are Nominated For a Spellemann Award (their version of The Grammy's)!

What a total mind fu*k! While here in the U.S. The Grammy's don't give a crap about our music, in Norway The Spellemann Awards (their version of The Grammy's) celebrate our music!

It has been announced that NORWEGIAN progressive extreme Metallers ENSLAVED have just received word of their nomination for the 2012 Spellemann Award in the category “Best Metal Album” with their most recent release, 'RIITIIR'. This prestigious music award is the Norwegian equivalent to the American Grammy. Ceremonies will take place at the Stavanger Concert Hall in Oslo on Saturday, March 23rd and will be broadcast live on NRK 1.

ENSLAVED - who just performed in Seattle, Washington last night and continue their trek through the U.S. and Canada - offer the following statement:

“By the hammer, saw, and grinder of Thor! What an incredibly pleasant surprise to be getting on the road, being nominated for Spellemannsprisen (Norwegian Grammy)! Having that many people interested & versed in music liking our album is simply overwhelming. We’ll miss the party, but feel confident that others will take care of the scandalous behavior. Thank you jury, this means a lot to us no matter the outcome of the ‘final’!”

This is the seventh time ENSLAVED have received a Spellemann Award nomination. They have won four consecutive times in a row for their previous four studio albums:

Recorded in Bergen, Norway at Duper Studios, Earshot Studios, Solslottet Studios, and Peersonal Sound, the album was mixed by Jens Bogren and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden. The team of producers includes Ivar Bjørnson, Grutle Kjellson, Herbrand Larsen, and Iver Sandøy. Artwork is once again by talented Norwegian artist Truls Espedal. Total running time is 67 minutes.

Grunge Videos Have Never Looked This Good, SOUNDGARDEN Debut Video For "By Crooked Steps"!

On December 18, 2012, SOUNDGARDEN joined forces with Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, ex-Nirvana) to create the music video for the bands NEW song "By Crooked Steps".

The clip, which casts SOUNDGARDEN as a "Sons Of Anarchy" type of biker gang and also features electronic DJ sensation Deadmau5 in a cameo role, was directed by Grohl. Here is what some of the band members had to say about his vital role:
