The damper of the event was definitely the passing of SLAYER guitarist Jeff Hanneman, who passed away yesterday (April 2) from liver failure.

This Thursday, May 2nd, America’s only Hard Rock and Heavy Metal award show will be taking over downtown Los Angeles! The fifth annual REVOLVER GOLDEN GODS AWARD SHOW presented by Epiphone® will take place at Club Nokia in Downtown Los Angeles. Once again, the event will be broadcast live in its entirety on Xbox LIVE, as well as on the Xbox and Revolver Facebook pages. Additionally, AXSTV will be broadcasting the entire event!

May 2 will also be declared “Golden Gods Day” in the City of Los Angeles, with Councilwoman Jan Perry opening the show with an official proclamation.

The fifth edition of the REVOLVER GOLDEN GODS AWARD SHOW (presented by Epiphone) has gotten even bigger and better. It has just been announced that Danzig will be performing at the event! And get this: his set will included a special Misfits set with Doyle.

Taking place Thursday, May 2 at Club Nokia in Downtown Los Angeles, the sold-out event will be broadcast live on national television for the first time through AXS TV and broadcast in the United States and key international markets through Xbox LIVE^®* and Revolver’s Facebook page.
