HEADCRUSHER join forces with Anders Björler from AT THE GATES on video for "Swimming in a Sea of Death"
Formed in early 2001 in Pereira, Colombia, South America. HEADCRUSHER’s blend of Thrash Metal, Death Metal and Hardcore climbed them to the top of the growing Colombian and South American Metal scene. HEADCRUSHER arrived in New York in 2007 and toured the East Coast. The Band relocated to Austin, Texas in the summer of 2008 and recorded their self titled EP in 2009. The tracks were mastered by Juan Urteaga (Exodus, Testament, Machine Head) at Trident Studios in Northern California, with the artwork designed by Alex Eckman-Lawn (Architects, Syopus, Hacride).
The Colombian Metaleros recently premiered their music video for "Swimming in a Sea of Death", a song out of four that we will be releasing this year. The tracks were mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen and the video was edited by Anders Björler (At the Gates, Ex-The Haunted). Watch it now!

Former THE HAUNTED Singer Peter Dolving Talks About Conceited Racism In Music
Peter Dolving, formerly from THE HAUNTED and now the leader of HOUSE OF DOLVING, has never been one to hold back when it comes time to speaking his mind. If you are part of his Facebook clan, you know exactly what we are talking about. Over the weekend, Dolving posted a lenghty post about his views on the "conceited racism carried by musicians all over the world". Read on...
"Something that's been buggin me my entire life;
"The conceited racism carried by musicians all over the world.
"I keep hearing this over and over in regards of rhythm. So let me make myself very clear; An individuals relation to rhythm, groove, swing and rhythmical/harmonic stringence, dynamics and etc. has got absolutely zilch to do with color of skin or race.
"As a musician you are either technical or emotive, some are very lucky to be both. But there's no ethnic magic involved in what gives reggae, blues or Rock its "typical" traits. There are styles of playing and individual musician relation to him/herself and the world in which we reside.
"It's all very simple really; Learn, and play the god-damned song. It will sound the way you play it it. End of story. A shitty musician will make a great song sound awkward, pathetic and flat. A great musician will make fucking "Crazy frog" sound cool. The audience may or may not care.
"Over the years playing material with different musicians the attempt to reach certain places with the inherit structure of individual songs has probably been the most frustrating thing of all. the amount of hangups and ego involved staggering.
"Being able to shred doesn't make you a great musician. Music is about flow. Understanding and communicating. It can be stringent or angular, but the flow determines.
"I have listened for too long to musicians I used to consider with great respect say terrible things about other musicians who have character and angularity. Dissing masterful players because they are "sloppy" etc. Well here's the deal; The sloppy takes discipline and daring, it takes an open mind as well as an open heart.
"There are schools for musicians. You can learn a lot just by repeating and rehearsing. But know this; Overt skillful masturbatory technique for its own sake becomes a circus sideshow. It is a vehicle, a tool. You are never bigger than the song, the piece in which you play. A perfectly polished surface often betrays a bland cold interior. And music is not an alibi... it's privilege. "

Sweden's Heavy Metal Architect Anders Björler Talks About The Future Of AT THE GATES!
As previously reported, THE HAUNTED's guitarist Patrik Jensen announced that guitarist Anders Björler and drummer Per Møller Jensen have quit the band (Full statements HERE!). Vocalist Peter Dolving had announced his departure from the band earlier this year (Read Dolving's stament HERE).
Following his departure from THE HAUNTED (Full statements HERE!), guitarist Anders Björler announced that he is working on his first solo album. "This is NOT a 'Metal' project", said Björler. "Those of you who are familiar with my soundtrack/movie stuff for THE HAUNTED and AT THE GATES documentaries will know somewhat to expect. It's inspired by Italian film music from the '60 and '70s, post Rock, ambient, progressive, jazz, and Swedish folk music."
AT THE GATES the NEW KISS when it comes to "farewell" tours.
Anders: "I think we learned from that mistake. We won't say goodbye again — ever. The main goal here is playing in territories we haven't played; it's that simple. We did South America in the summer and [now we're doing] Australia. Yeah, we'll do some exceptions, like the Barge To Hell boat. That's just vacation, basically — playing on a boat. Otherwise, we'll do, maybe, a couple of festivals each summer. Maybe three."
A NEW AT THE GATES album.
Anders: "For me, personally, no. I've never had those plans. I guess some of the other guys [in the band] want to, but certainly not me. Because I think too much time has passed. It was, maybe, 16 years ago, or 17, since we released 'Slaughter Of The Soul', and too much time has passed. I'm not at the place that I was back then, and it's not gonna sound like a continuation of 'Slaughter Of The Soul', and that's basically what I don't wanna do."

Game Over For THE HAUNTED? Two More Band Members Quit The Band!
The demise of Sweden's THE HAUNTED seems inevitable. Earlier this year, vocalist Peter Dolving quit the band due mayor personal issues with the Björler brothers (read his statement HERE). Now, guitarist Patrik Jensen of has released the following statement regarding the departure of two more band members:
"It's with deep regret we have to inform you of another two departures from THE HAUNTED; guitarist Anders Björler and drummer Per Møller Jensen. No animosity whatsoever caused these events, nor are there any other feelings than that they will both be dearly missed. We wish them all the best in whatever, and wherever, their future endeavors will take them
"For all you who have any knowledge about the band, and know how to count, you will realize that there are only two band members left; Jonas [Björler, bass] and myself . We are still committed to the THE HAUNTED. However, in the light of these recent events, we honestly don't know what will happen. We hope for your appreciation of our current situation, and for your patience."
Commented Anders: "I feel that I have come to the end of the line regarding THE HAUNTED. This is not a sudden or hasty decision. I have been contemplating it for the last couple of years.
"Peter's [Dolving, vocals] departure earlier this year made me more certain than ever that I had reached my personal goal with THE HAUNTED, and that the time was right to call it quits.
"I have enjoyed every bit of the ride.
"It's been an overwhelming journey.
"I would like to thank the other band members especially, our crew through the years, and our fans worldwide for the experience and opportunity. Thank you so much! The memories will be with me forever.
"I will, of course, continue writing music, but where that leads me? Simply too early to say."
Per Møller Jensen released a statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET earlier today announcing his departure from THE HAUNTED. He explained, "This decision has been underway for a long time and cannot be attributed to Dolving's departure earlier this year."
So does this mean that AT THE GATES will return in full force? Well, HERE is what Tomas Lindberg had to say about this possibility! Don't forget to sign our petition to get AT THE GATES to headline the 2013 Summer Slaughter Tour:

Peter Dolving Responds To Internet Bashing Following Harsh Words Towards His Former THE HAUNTED Bandmates!
Earlier this week, former THE HAUNTED singer Peter Dolving posted a lengthy statement on the reasons behind his decision to quit the band. One comment that caused a lot of reactions within the internet world was this one: "Anders and Jonas Bjoerler are two of the most fuc*ed up emotionally dysfunctional pieces of sh*t I have ever worked with"!
Dolving has posted another statement in order to clarify his reasons for going public with the group's dirty laundry. Here it is:
"So regarding my statement on THE HAUNTED; I am not looking for drama. Fuck that. I am not carrying a grudge. I'm simply putting the reality of their actions on the table.
"If I would have continued shutting my mouth about I would just have continued participating in the dysfunctionality. I have chosen not to. I have music, creativity, love and shitloads of really cool fans who are not interested in belittling introverts and trolls on Blabbermouth.
"If you like AT THE GATES, THE HAUNTED and even the twins [THE HAUNTED/AT THE GATES guitarist Anders Björler and bassist Jonas Björler], that's perfectly alright. It good to have something to like.
"No one is taking anything from their artistry; they are skilled and talented. You don't have to take sides. Seriously. I just don't want it to be some deep dark secret. That type of shit wears life out.
"My rage and actual bitterness is perfectly justified. They took food from my table. Anyone who's ever been laid off or screwed will identify.
"Now, on the other hand, if my art, my words, my thoughts provoke you, that just reveals your intolerance. Which is fucking sad, because because it's 2012, and carrying around moral codes and a view on reality as if it 1912, is just, well, really really fucking sad. Really.
"The world my friends, is changing. We can push forward or fight it it, but it's not going to stop it. Things change. Normality is not being a conservative dick, held back by fear and intolerance. Normality is the air between you and me, all those other things are you inside you, in battle with reality.
"Just saying."

Peter Dolving breaks his silence on why we left THE HAUNTED: "Anders and Jonas Bjoerler are two of the most fuc*ed up emotionally dysfunctional pieces of sh*t I have ever worked with"
"I've taken my time in trying to figure out what went wrong and why everything eventually went to shit.
"I left The Haunted back early this spring because I had fucking had it with dysfunctional bullshit.
"I knew it was there, fuck, I left the band once before, but at that time I didn't know as much about emotional dysfunctionality and just how fucking cynical people could be.
"When I left, we were a bunch of sad fucking dudes. There was no love in it. None. And really, I doubt very much there had ever been any. In fact I deeply question whether Anders and Jonas Bjoerler have the slightest clue what deep loving friendships, joy and caring is even about. They think in terms of 'Me, me, me, me, mine, mine' to the fullest and most complete.
"The reason I up and said 'fuck it' was this; There were drugs involved within the band, and crew members who's alcoholism/drug abuse was just overlooked and ignored because the individuals in question was cheaper than anyone else and delivered the goods. Local promoters and crew were being treated like they were some kind of underlings and promoters were required to get drugs, even in places as extremely high risk as China and Thailand. Drugs were smuggled.
"I am certain they will comment this to make themselves 'free of responsibility' but when addiction is involved in a group there is no such thing as 'Me me me'. One either says 'No.' Or accepts the mutual responsibility. That's how it works, that's the adult way of dealing with that type of dilemma. Not scapegoating individuals with a fucking disease.
"I have 2 beautiful and amazing kids that I fucking love and respect. I have overcome addiction myself and one of the things I've learned is to not make fucking compromises. For the sake of my kids I need to know that I'm getting home. That I'm getting payed. That no one gets busted for drugs and my kids have to read about their dad's band getting busted in the paper. It's a nasty and very mean-spirited little world out there, one needs a bit of mutual respect and care. Having a backbone is necessary.
"I brought the subject up for discussion. I always did. With everything that was fucking with band-spirit.
"The response I received was that the no one else minded and that obviously I was the one who had the problem. My problem was caring.
"The day the Bjoerlers decided to tell tell us about the At The Gates "Farewell-tour"( The Farewell tour now on it's third year...) we were releasing and promoting 'Versus'.
"They told us that they would only do 14 shows. They are still touring....
"They have really cashed in to the fullest. Good for them. It's good to have money in a capitalist world.
"Jensen is the one who saw clearly what was up.
"The moment they told us, his response was 'You know this is going to kill The Haunted.' The Twins were both extremely defensive about it, and now we know why. They were lying out their ass.
"Jensen ain't no dumb-ass. He made another Witchery record, toured like a sonofabitch with his project and got a degree in the meantime.
"Good for him.
"It's good to have a degree in a capitalist world.
"I caught on slower, but I figured it was fucking ridiculously slow that making 'Unseen' took 2 years. I must have written 40 fucking songs for that record. Every time I presented something it wasn't 'played well enough to really hear what's going on' or 'it's not the Haunted'. Jonas presented some amazing ideas. But there was no heart.
"I actually gave up on that band in the process.
"The twins were unwilling to the extreme. They didn't like the rehearsal space, so we tried working here at the house, which is an incredibly beautiful environment. But that was uncomfortable. It was too warm. It was too demanding talking to each other. At one point I told Jonas 'Dude, you don't even listen to what people say do you?', 'Yes I do!' 'So what did I just talk about?' He tried explaining what he thought I had said and made it clear that he'd stopped listening after I had finished my first sentence. They disliked working with Tue Madsen. Quietly whining like spoiled 5-year olds. It became so clear that they just don't care. About anyone else, except the absolute closest to themselves. Completely indifferent, unless there would be consequences that affect them.
"No. They don't have kids. Thank Lucifer.
"The only one who actually gave me real feedback was Per Möller Jensen.
"Jensen's ideas, I really gave it my all to make good songs out of and it was happening, but the twins just didn't want to use them or even work on them.
"Eventually we had an album. Some like it, some don't. Jonas booked shows. As he did for At The Gates. But the band was fucking dead.
"The last touring we did just clarified it all too fine. Hours and hours of silence. Like always with The Haunted. Silence. Indifference.
"I am not a very cheerful person. I prefer working to hanging out. Because I love my work more than I love people. I don't lie or pretend it's any other way. But anyone who knows me will testify that I am not a lying, unloyal, uncaring, indifferent fucking prick who's emotional incapacities render me void of treating people respectfully.
"This is what I have to say; Anders and Jonas Bjoerler are two of the most fucked up emotionally dysfunctional pieces of shit I have ever worked with except for Petri H Lunden (who is a full-blown psychopath). I would have given them my fucking life.
"They would barely break a sweat in return.
"Rock n roll for me is about love, hate, life and how we live it. It's vivid, aware, right here. Indifference and shutting each other off is the diametric opposite. Watching your back because you care more about your pension-plan than your fellow travelers, avoiding confrontations because one is lazy and a coward etc. is just not fucking cutting it.
"They broke my fucking heart.
"In my eyes Anders and Jonas Bjoerler are nothing more than two deceptive accountants. I'm sure they are many other things as well.
"But one thing they will never ever have again, is my respect, my trust or care.
"Now here's the pun; Writing this, will be, to them; Over-reacting.
"I have damn near killed myself working to get back on my feet after this whole fuck of a botched cock-up. I am not over-reacting. Fuck. I don't even know if Per Möller Jensen is alive. I haven't heard from him for months, and the last six months I was still in the band he was homeless.
"I am not over-reacting.
"The facts remains; They lied. They fucked the other three of us. And they pissed all over every single moment of passion, pain and awe we shared. And to me, that means that they fucked all The Haunted's and At The Gates fans too.
"Because I truthfully don't think they ever really felt it. I truthfully believe them to be too emotionally disturbed.
"I give this back to them.
"Sad sad sad."

The Haunted - "No Ghost" Live at Wacken Open Air + 1st Ever Chinese Takeover!
Swedish Metal icons The Haunted, have been busy promoting their latest album titled "Unseen" (available now via Century Media). The bands seventh studio album hit the charts at #5 in Sweden as well as #26 in Finland upon release.
After an Australian tour and a busy Summer schedule which saw the band appear at major European open air festival events like Sweden Rock (Sweden), Hellfest (France), Wacken (Germany) and Summer Breeze (Germany), The Haunted recently announced a series of tour-dates that will take place in Sweden. The tour will feature fellow countrymen Entombed as part of the 2011 edition of the "Close-Up Made Us Do It" tour. The band has also announced a couple of headlining shows in Greece, as well as a (re-scheduled) tour of Japan together with Norwegian acts Ihsahn and Leprous. Additionally, The Haunted will be performing three shows in China (in collaboration with XOUNDFORCE) for the first time ever! All tour-dates can be seen below.
Today, The Haunted is happy to launch the first promotional video clip for the "Unseen" album. The song "No Ghost" (in a special live rendition from Wacken Open Air festival 2011) can be right here.
This intense live version of "No Ghost" was filmed by Marcel Schleiff (Record Film) and edited by The Haunted's lead guitarist Anders Björler (At The Gates Production). The live sound recording was engineered by Jacky Lehmann (Audiosound Lehmann) and then mixed by the band's long-term producer Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studio in Denmark.
"A little update from The Haunted camp: We are proud to share the following live video for 'No Ghost' which was filmed this summer at 'Wacken Open Air'. The Wacken crew did a great job filming and Tue Madsen did exceptional work mixing this time around.
We are currently preparing for some club shows in Greece, in Sweden with Entombed, as well as a tour of Japan & China. China will be a first for us and we are very excited about this. We are also looking at some more touring next year, but more info about that soon. 'Til then, keep checking our website & facebook for updates and news."
