SIX FEET UNDER Release Full Details For 'Unborn'; Lyric Video for "Zombie Blood Curse" Is Awaiting You!

As previously announced, Death Metal icons SIX FEET UNDER will release a brand NEW full-length album. Entitled 'Unborn', the bands 10th studio album will be released on March 19th via Metal Blade Records.

Led by the inimitable Chris Barnes, owner of one of the most powerful and instantly recognizable voices in the genre, the band are returning with an overhauled line up that sees them reinvigorated and churning out some of the most visceral music they have ever put their name to.

In November of 2010 when vocalist and founding member Chris Barnes first started to get the idea of working with NEW writers for SIX FEET UNDER's next release, he contacted Rob Arnold, Jari Laine, and Ben Savage to share in the writing process. After just two years of writing and recording 20 plus tracks, and releasing 'UNDEAD' in May of 2012, SIX FEET UNDER are now proud to unveil 'UNDEAD's' demented fraternal twin…

"The journey to create, write, and record 'UNDEAD' and 'UNBORN' has been the most challenging and exciting musical endeavor and process I have ever been involved with," expresses vocalist and founder Chris Barnes. "Working with all these amazing writers and musicians like Ben Savage (Whitechapel) on songs like Neuro Osmosis and Fragment are some of the most dynamic, beautiful, and brutal songs I've ever had the pleasure of putting lyrics to." Barnes continues, "I believe Ben is a true innovator of the Death Metal genre. It was also a lot of fun working Jari Laine from Torture Killer again. We wrote a great album together a few years back called 'SWARM!' One of my favorite releases I've been involved with– and Jari is someone who I have really wanted to work with again ever since. I wanted to revisit collaborating with Jari because of how well we work together; proof of that on 'UNBORN' are the hook heavy sounds of songs like Zombie Blood Curse and Incision."

'UNDEAD' proved to be one of SIX FEET UNDER's most critically acclaimed albums to date, and with a revamped and tour-hardened lineup rounded out by: guitarist Ola Englund, drummer Kevin Talley, bassist Jeff Hughell, and long-time guitarist Steve Swanson, 'UNBORN' promises to elevate the band to even loftier heights.

SIX FEET UNDER Announce NEW Guitarist Following The "Retirement" Of Rob Arnold; 'Undead' Drops Today!

Death Metal ministers SIX FEET UNDER today announce the addition of rhythm guitarist Ola Englund to their legendary ranks. Englund, who will make his first official appearance with the band on the 18 Nights Of Blood Tour set to commence next month, takes the place of Rob Arnold.

Comments founding vocalist Chris Barnes of the new recruit:  “Ola is an amazing guitarist and was chosen for his superlative technique and style of playing. We believe he will be the perfect complement to Steve Swanson, and the devastating rhythm section that is Talley/Hughell. Steve, Kevin, Jeff and myself are so looking forward to Ola's entrance into the band upon the release of 'Undead' and the commencement of our first tour next month with Dying Fetus and Revocation. We can’t wait for you to witness the NEW killing machine that is SIX FEET UNDER! Ola takes over duties for our good friend and Death Metal warrior Rob Arnold who will be retiring from touring but will remain a central writing partner and fellow collaborator on future SFU releases. We are all sad to not have Rob on the road with us, but are confident and 110% psyched that Ola is now within the ranks of the 'Undead' and will be ready to lay waste to every stop along the way! Adds Englund: "When I got the call from Chris, it felt unreal; first thing that popped up in my head was, ‘why the hell did he want me -- the total gear nerd from Sweden -- to join his awesome band? To be able to share the stage with one of the biggest icons in Death Metal and the other killer musicians in SFU is a complete honor and a dream come true for me. Today Metal Hammer Germany is hosting an exclusive premiere of "Frozen At the Moment of Death", the third official single, from Death Metal tyrants SIX FEET UNDER. The track comes off the band's soon-to-be released 'Undead' full-length which is scheduled for a European release on May 18th/21st, 2012 through Metal Blade Records.

Today premier horror portal Bloody Disgusting hosts the latest “18 Days” lyric video from Death Metal merchants, SIX FEET UNDER. The apocalyptic hymn comes off the band’s forthcoming NEW studio effort, 'Undead', set for North American release on May 22, 2012 through Metal Blade Records.

Notorious for his elegiac themes of murder, death and the supernatural, on 'Undead' vocalist and lyrical mastermind Chris Barnes revisits topics that will be familiar to fans of the band, though as always he brings something NEW to the table, aware that their followers will not accept recycled ideas. Notes Barnes: “The hypocrisies of daily life, things that affect us that spawn aggression, loneliness, sadness, there’s a lot of emotions going on across the record, and I guess that the dark horror that humans cause is my niche,” However, while Barnes has a very clear vision for his craft, he is always excited by the interpretations of his songs by those who listen to them, feeding on the emotional investment they put in. “I love it when people tell me what they’ve got from the music and the lyrics. It’s like being an artist, you put the painting up on the wall – you know what it is, but sometimes it’s a little abstract and someone sees something else in it, and that’s the biggest compliment to me. That I’m able to get inside someone’s head and they actually give thought to something presented to them is inspiring to me too, and something I always want to be able to do with this band.”

In conjunction with the release of 'Undead', SIX FEET UNDER will embark upon a near three-week run of live rituals this June. Dubbed the "18 Nights Of Blood Tour", the beatings will begin in Atlanta, Georgia on June 8 and ravage its way across the country before coming to a close on June 29 in Tampa, Florida. Support will be provided by Dying Fetus and Revocation. A list of tour dates can be seen below.

SIX FEET UNDER Unveil First Single, Cover Art & Track Listing For 'Undead'!

Legendary Death Metal legion SIX FEET UNDER today unveil the first single from forthcoming studio offering, 'Undead'. Slated for North American release on May 22, 2012 through Metal Blade Records, the 12-track recording was produced by Mark Lewis (Deicide, Devildriver) and mixed by Jason Suecof (Whitechapel, Job For A Cowboy), at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, Florida.

Led by the inimitable Chris Barnes, possessor of one of the most dominant and instantly recognizable voices of the Death Metal genre, 'Undead' offers up an overhauled lineup. Now featuring Barnes alongside NEW guitarist Rob Arnold (ex- Chimaira), longtime guitarist Steve Swanson, NEW bassist Jeff Hughell, and drummer Kevin Talley, whose history blasting for Dying Fetus, Misery Index, and Chimaira speaks for itself, SIX FEET UNDER 2012 finds the band reinvigorated and churning out some of the most visceral, in-your-face, and downright horrifying tunes in their renowned discography of brutality both, lyrically and musically.

SIX FEET UNDER Is Coming For Europe This Summer & Releasing NEW Album Soon!

In conjunction with the album release, SIX FEET UNDER will return to Europe in August to play some exclusive festival gigs as well as selected club shows. At current time Six Feet Under is mixing their NEW album at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Mark Lewis (The Black Dahilia Murder, Whitechapel, DevilDriver, Trivium).
