CNN labels HATEBREED as a "white power" band; band and fans counterattack!

So once again the media strikes against Heavy Music and mislabels HATEBREED as a "white power" band. After finding out that they were listed as one of the “100 to 150 white power bands are in the United States”, the band exploded with anger via their Twitter account after being mislabeled by Lonnie Nasatir, director of the Anti-Defamation League's Upper Midwest Region. The band immediately threatened legal action against CNN.

The first tweet came at about 11:30 AM yesterday stating: “@CNN remove our name from your website or you’ll be hearing from our attorneys. Next time do some actual research.”

Other "white power" bands listed are: Aggravated Assault, Angry Aryans, Attack, Jew Slaughter, White Terror, Final Solution, Force Fed Hate, Fueled by Hate and many others.

The reason for this article stems from the attack on the Sikh temple by Wade Page, who killed six people during his shooting rampage. Page has been associated with two white power bands, End Apathy and Definite Hate.

But we all know that Hatebreed as a whole are not against any race or promote hate speech.

“Our music brings people of all races together all over the world. @CNN @cnnopinion & @chicagoADL need to get their facts straight,” tweeted the band. Many of their fans agreed with this sentiment.

After the band and their fans contacted CNN numerous times and pointed out their big mistake, HATEBREED have been removed from the list.

GOD FORBID Forced To Cancel Appearance At Heavy MTL Due To Stolen Passport!

Unfortunately, nowadays some asshole people think that it is cool to steal from musicians and this needs to stop! On Friday (July 27), during the Trespass America festival tour stop in San Antonio, Texas, GOD FORBID's guitar badass Doc Coyle got some of his valuables stolen. Here is what Coyle posted on his Facebook and Twitter pages:

"So two days ago in San Antonio, someone stole my bag out of our dressing room with my MacBook pro laptop, iPod, hard drive, headphones, passport, toiletries, etc. It was in a beat up Swiss Gear backpack. If anyone who was there saw anything suspicious or lives in the area recognizes any of these items, please let me know. I do everything with my computer. Communicate, create music. This sucks big time, but it's just stuff. I am lucky I have my health. So many are less fortunate. #gratitude"

As of right now, Coyle hasn't gotten and of his stuff back, including his passport. As a result, the band has been forced to cancel their appearance this weekend at Heavy MTL! Here is the band statement regarding this matter:

GOD FORBID is sorry to have to cancel their performance at this years Heavy MTL ! Due to reasons beyond our control! (Remember when Doc's bag was stolen, his passport was in the bag!) Read more about this incident HERE!

JOB FOR A COWBOY Premiere PUNISHING Music Video For "Tarnished Gluttony"

JOB FOR A COWBOY are currently demolishing crowds at the month-long Summer Slaughter trek. Today, the band is premiering a music video for "Tarnished Gluttony". The disturbing nine-and-a-half-minute clip was directed by Michael Panduro, who has previously worked with SAINT VITUS and CEPHALIC CARNAGE.

"'Tarnished Gluttony' originally runs off the idea of blind faith into our government and monetary system. The director ran with the idea and spliced it with a H.P. Lovecraftian twist. The video streams the fascination of religion and the actions people justify in the name of religion, and this video is a spin on the old biblical tale of Abraham and Isaac, however, set in the world of Lovecraftian mythology. The point is, acting blindly in faith to a Christian deity is just as absurd as worshiping squid like monsters from space who live under the sea." - Jonny Davey (front man of JOB FOR A COWBOY)

Adds Panduro: "As a commercial director, I'm a complete failure. The band asked for just one thing and I couldn't deliver. Indeed, this video has no boobs."
