NEW "DIMEBAG DARRELL: Riffer Madness" Instructional DVD Is Available Now!

The "DIMEBAG DARRELL: Riffer Madness" DVD has been unleashed! Here is the description from Alfred Music Publishing, the publication to blame for this awesome release!

"This long-awaited DVD tribute to the godfather of modern Metal is finally here. Based on Dime's best-selling instructional book, 'Riffer Madness', this DVD is hosted by Dime's co-writer, good friend, and protege, Metal maestro Nick Bowcott. It features long lost one-on-one special footage of Dime teaching some of his most classic licks. Nick Bowcott helps pass Dime's torch to the next generation. He takes 97 of Dime's critical riffs and patterns and uses them as a jumping-off point to help young guitarists play their favorite guitar parts and, more importantly, understand the creativity, attitude, feeling, and intention underlying each pattern. Nick also covers killer rhythm guitar, power grooves and pick squeals, psychotic syncopation, holes of silence, chromatics, diabolical dyads, and much more! The DVD includes printable PDF TAB, an exclusive interview with Dime's wife, Rita Haney, and two long lost lessons filmed by Dime."

SLIPKNOT Is Ready To Get Back On Top In 2014; Corey Taylor Is Finally Ready!

Up until now, the musical future of SLIPKNOT was very opaque. Today (May 29), we have good news regarding the future of the band! Corey Taylor is ready to rejoin the "KNOT" and to start jamming with the rest of the band. As you probably know, the rest of the band has been waiting for Taylor to get back on board the SLIPKNOT machine.

During a recent interview with the Pulse of Radio, Taylor said that the band is likely to return to the studio next year.

"I know everybody is pretty keen on getting together and seeing what happens next year, so I mean, if it takes us a year to write an album, so be it," he said. "The main goal is to just get us in the room and just see what happens, you know. If we can get past that first day, I think it'll come together. Now that we're all kind of in better places in our lives and whatnot, it's making it a little easier to be excited about it again. It's just starting to feel like it's time."

We recently chatted with 3/8th's of SLIPKNOT about the future of the band. Watch these interviews below.

ORANGE GOBLIN To Return To N. America; Help Them Pick Support Bands!

Last year, ORANGE GOBLIN released their seventh studio album 'A Eulogy For The Damned' via Candlelight Records, and haven't stopped touring the world in order to present their music to the masses. The bands latest offering continues to reap praise for its pure, sonic awesomeness from fans and critics nationally. Popdose called it  "…pretty damn fantastic. Rockin’, riff-tastic and possibly the best record from start to finish that they’ve released yet".

Today (May 29), the band has announced that they are returning to North America this September/October and want your feedback in regard to the bands you want to see them support them. Here is a word from the band:

"OG FANS IN NORTH AMERICA!!!

"Orange Goblin will return to do a headline tour of the USA & CANADA in September and October 2013.

"We are asking you (and be realistic!), which band would you like to see support Orange Goblin when they come back??"
