Yesterday, The PRP reported that RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE might be planning a tour to celebrate 20 years of the release of their groundbreaking self titled album. The rumor surfaced after legendary bassist Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath spoke with Eddie Trunk during NAMM, and he said this regarding who will be playing drums during BLACK SABBATH's upcoming tour dates (Details HERE!):
“We’re not sure yet, we don’t know. ‘Cause I think Brad‘s got commitments with Rage Against The Machine. And… so it will either be Tommy [Clufetos] or Brad [Wilk], depending on their commitments.”
But what about a NEW R.A.T.M. record? Here is what the bands guitarist and visionary Tom Morello posted on Twitter earlier today:

Recently, BLACK SABBATH revealed that the release of their NEW album has been postponed. Originally the record was set to be released this April, but now the band has announced that it won't be out until June. According to Geezer Butler, production for the band's first record with frontman Ozzy Osbourne since the release of 'Never Say Die!' in 1978, has been completed and the record is currently being mixed. During an interview with Eddie Trunk during NAMM, which concluded this past Sunday, January 27. Geezer also announced that the band will be touring the United States this July and August, and will be touringSouth Americafor the very first time in October. Additionally, the band plans to close the year by touring Europe in November and December. As far as that their NEW album title. He doesn't find '13' to be a "constructive" album title, and they will only keep that title if they can't find a better title.What should they entitle their album? Yesterday (January 25), Cliff Burton's father, Ray Burton (pictured above and below), took over the the Aria Guitars booth at NAMM to do the introduction of the "Aria Pro II Cliff Burton Signature Bass" and he also signed autographs for the fans of METALLICA.
This bass guitar took over a year to produce and is authorized by the Cliff Burton family and the Metallica camp. The body is the original SB shape and made of alder. The bass is loaded with an Aria MB-V passive pickup. It has a single tone and volume control with a dual sound mini-toggle switch. The bridge is solid brass with gold plated saddles. During the last week, there have been rumors floating around the internet about the lineup for the The 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival! While the lineup will officially be announced this Wednesday, January 25... according to Russ Rosenfeld from Ibanez, SLIPKNOT will be headlining these years festival!
Late last year, Corey Taylor (Slipknot vocalist) announced during his book tour that Slipknot would be touring North American during the late summer in 2012, and he hinted that it would be one of the John L. Reese festivals. Reese is the founder of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival!

The band recently announced that they have started working on NEW material for their fifth studio album, which will be the follow-up to 2010's "Option Paralysis" (Released via Party Smasher Inc./Season of Mist).

The Dillinger Escape Plan is scheduled to take a break from the writing process in order to go on a U.K. tour in February with Mastodon and Red Fang. From there, the bands will be heading down under to perform at Soundwave Festival.
In other news, The Dillinger Escape Plan are scheduled to release a limited-edition "Gold Teeth On A Bum" shirt online, just in time for the holidays. The limited-time offer, which will be made available for 24 hours only, will launch via the band's web site beginning at 12 p.m. EST/9 a.m. PST on Thursday, December 22, with a quarter of the proceeds going to a charity chosen by those who make a purchase.
