"Three years ago I told myself: "this year I either change my life for good by creating something huge and inspiring, or I simply stop living." Here I am three years later and when I reflect on what I created with Horns Up Rocks thus far, I feel extremely proud and accomplished. And most importantly, very happy to be alive and living life to the fullest. HUR reflects who I am, it is my life! I am not doing this for the fame or the glory, I am doing this because I am always seeking for the inspiration that keeps igniting my creative passion. I am always looking for that rush I get every time I interview some of the best musicians in the planet, or when I get to see amazing bands from all levels tear up a stage apart! And that rush can't and won't be extinguished, ever. TRUST ME!" - Jö Schüftan

Horns Up Rocks Celebrates Threeeee Years Of Celebrating & Promoting Heavy Music Worldwide!

This week,
Horns Up Rocks is celebrating three years of celebrating and promoting Heavy Music worldwide. If you live within the tri-state area, join us tomorrow (February 13) for our THREEEEE year anniversary concert and fashion show at the Trash Bar in Brooklyn, NY! If for any reason you can't make it out tomorrow night, we will be hosting our annual anniversary fiesta at Duff's Brooklyn. Full details for both events can be seen at the flyers below!

Here are some words from Horns Up Rocks' founder Jö Schüftan:

Three
years ago I told myself: "this year I either change my life for good by creating something huge and inspiring, or I simply stop living." Here I am three years later and when I reflect on what I created with Horns Up Rocks thus far, I feel extremely proud and accomplished. TRUST ME!

After many sleepless nights, after plenty of blood, sweat and tears dropped. I am ready for the next three years and beyond! I want to take this moment to thank every single person that has supported this mission, you know who you are!

I mostly want to thank my devoted team for being patient while this vision that is huger than my own life, keeps evolving: Zulie Alvarez, Javier Samaniego, Cynthia Rodriguez & all those who have collaborated along the way (a few of you couldn't hang, but that doesn't diminish your hard work that I forever will be thankful for)!

If you believe in me, in my vision, if you truly support Horns Up Rocks, and are not hating on me because I am successful at what I do (thanks to working my ass off for the last three years EVERY single day), I invite you to join me this week to celebrate 3 years of amazingness!!! In the words of Ozzy Osbourne: "Lets go fucking crazy!"

Sugar and Spikes Fashion Show

A few weeks ago we met a real nice group of beautiful women at Don Hill's here in New York City. Not only are they classy and very sexy, they also have a similar mission then the one of Horns Up Rocks. That mission? To bring the New York City underground music and fashion scenes back into what they used to be. Sugar and Spikes is their name:

"SUGAR and SPIKES is a promotional modeling company that handles everything from promotions & marketing to booking venues for rock bands/live shows/events/parties. We are fearless rock inspired women whose main goal is to provide a reliable and professional service to the music community."

On July 19th Horns Up Rocks suggests for all the horns up throwers to come to the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn for the Sugar and Spikes fashion show. The event not only features stunning women dancing the night away, but also live performances by Panzie, TSI and Hate in the Box. There will also be a DJ set by the awesome JennCity! Not convinced yet? Well, check this interview we did with Mika Henderson (CEO) and Miz Katastrophe (Spokes-model).

Queen V: Queen of Rock

Last week we headed to an event called "Take Back New York", which took place at Don Hill's here in New York City. The event featured live music, mixed in with two fashion shows. The event featured the amazing Queen V, a band that plays a very eclectic mix of rock, which makes the girls groove and the guys drool. This type of events bring people together in harmony and the vibe at Don Hill's was impeccable.

That night we had the pleasure of interviewing Queen V and talk to her about music, fashion and culture. Queen V is the type of person that radiates energy on and off the stage. Her talent has taken care to places where most can only dream of. Queen V has worked with Metal God Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead, guitar legends Slash and Tom Morello, and many other high profile artists.

If you haven't seen Queen V rock the stage, you need to do your ears a favor and take them to a Queen V show. On Thursday July 29 Queen V will be headlining the 2 year anniversary of the Gotham Rocks showcase, which will take place at the Highline Ballroom in New York City. Gotham Rocks are one of the gatekeepers of the tri-state Rock N Roll scene, and the event promises to be memorable.

Here is an exclusive interview with Queen V! We want to thank the girls from Sugar N Spikes for making this happen.

Fallen Star Fashion Show

As we had previously anticipated, the Fallen Star Fashion show was a complete success. The night featured some awesome live music, which included Queen V, and rocking clothes modeled by unique and beautiful women. One of the concepts of Horns Up Rocks is to showcase alternative fashion and to offer a platform for women to be themselves. When Star Frost from The Fallen Star Boutique reached out to us and invited us to the event, we didn't think twice. Just as we expected, Don Hill's was full of great people who were there to have a great time. If you have a chance to catch the next Fallen Star Fashion Show, we recommend you join the sexy fun. Here are some images, courtesy of photographer Joe LaRusso. We also have exclusive videos. Enjoy!
