CANNIBAL CORPSE Have Been Delivering "Punishing Brutality" For 25 Years; Special Releases & North American Tour Announced!

Last year CANNIBAL CORPSE released their 12th studio album 'Torture' via Metal Blade Records, and supported their NEWEST musical assault with plenty of touring. But this is nothing out of the ordinary for the most successful Death Metal band in history. They have been hard at work since their formation in 1988, and just like fine booze: the more years that pass by, the better the band gets.

2013 marks Death Metal juggernauts, CANNIBAL CORPSE'S 25th year as a band and CANNIBAL is going to celebrate it all year long! The logo has been updated to reflect the monumental occasion and will be used on all things CANNIBAL (see it below), from merch to packaging, throughout 2013. There is also a box set in the works for the most extreme CANNIBAL CORPSE fan, which is expected to drop in March via Metal Blade Records - details coming soon!

In addition to the updated logo only being used this year and the box set, Metal Blade Records will be releasing one picture disc a month from the band's expansive catalog ('Eaten Back to Life', 'Butchered at Birth', 'Tomb of the Mutilated', 'The Bleeding', 'Vile', 'Gallery of Suicide', 'Bloodthirst', 'Gore Obsessed', 'The Wretched Spawn', 'KILL', 'Evisceration Plague', 'Torture'). A total of 12 pictures discs will be released, covering all of the band's full-length studio albums, some of which have never been released on picture disc. The first picture disc available for preorder is 'Eaten Back to Life', which was released August 17, 1990, and can be found HERE. Check back each month to get a glimpse of the next picture disc available for preorder.

DEVILDRIVER Guitarists Announce Blackstar Amplification Guitar Clinic!

 
According to Blabbermouth, DEVILDRIVER guitarists Michael Spreitzer and Jeff Kendrick of will be hosting a guitar clinic tour in the U.K. for Blackstar Amplification following the upcoming DEVILDRIVER/CANNIBAL CORPSE co-headlining tour!

Here are the dates for the Blackstar Amplification clinic:

DEVILDRIVER recently entered Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida to begin recording its upcoming sixth album for a tentative August 2013 release via Napalm Records.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER: Shannon Lucas Leaves The Band - Video Statement Available!

Wow, this just in! Drumming machine Shannon Lucas has confirmed his departure from THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER via video statement (see below). During the short clip, Lucas also confirms that he has a NEW project with guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) and vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher (CANNIBAL CORPSE), for which he hopes to start tracking drums in January. Shannon also reveals that he will be opening a tattoo shop with his wife outside Richmond, Virginia. We want to wish Shannon the best of luck with his upcoming projects!

So who is stepping in for Lucas? Alan Cassidy (ABIGAIL WILLIAMS) is sitting behind the kit for the band's current trek with DETHKLOK, MACHINE HEAD and ALL THAT REMAINS.

CANNIBAL CORPSE Announces U.S. Tour With MISERY INDEX & HOUR OF PENANCE!

CANNIBAL CORPSE has announced that they will be embarking on their first US tour after having dominated stages as headliners of the Summer Slaughter Tour 2012. This headlining tour is scheduled to begin on November 16th and wrap up on December 7th. Dates and venues are listed below and can be found on the band's Facebook page HERE. Supporting CANNIBAL CORPSE on this tour will be Misery Index and Hour of Penance. Tickets for the tour will be on sale beginning September 14th on-line and at your local venue's box office.

CANNIBAL CORPSE & DEVILDRIVER Announce European Clashing! Will They Perform In The Czech Republic?

Today, it was announced that CANNIBAL CORPSE and DEVILDRIVER will be join forces for a European co-headlining clash of the titans tour, scheduled for February and March of 2013. Will the bands perform in the Czech Republic? Well, DD's Jeff Kendrick said that IF Randy Blythe is not freed from prison, that bands should start boycotting playing in the Czech Republic. More on this story HERE!

The trek that begins on February 9th in Oulu, Finland at Teatrie Oulu, is scheduled to stop on March 2nd in Ostrava, Czech Republic at Garage Club, and will conclude on March 1oth in Glasgow, United Kingdom at ABC.

CANNIBAL CORPSE Unleashes More In-Studio Video Footage - Includes Corpsegrinder's Vocal Exercises!

More video footage from CANNIBAL CORPSE's 'Torture' studio sessions is currently viewable at their official landing page. The near-ten minute long segment documents some of the guitar solo and vocal tracking and includes a candid glimpse of vocalist Corpsegrinder’s method for loosening his vocal cords during the lengthy recording sessions.

The band's twelfth offering of audio molestation will be available to North American fans on March 13, 2012 via Metal Blade Records. In an 9/10 review of the record, Decibel Magazine proclaims: "As always, the band's musicianship is downright inspiring. And their songwriting has never been better." Zero Tolerance crowned the record "pure death metal mastery from one of the best bands the genre has ever produced," while Metal Army America adds: "The masters have turned in effort that will puzzled over, studied and followed forever."

'Torture' was produced by Hate Eternal's Erik Rutan at his own Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida as well as Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas.







CANNIBAL CORPSE will kick off their official U.S. headlining tour this April. Sponsored by Metal Blade Records, Good Fight Entertainment and dB Drum Shoes, the U.S. Torture Tour 2012 will commence on April 5 in Jacksonville, Florida and level 23 stages before coming to a close on May 3 in Gainesville, Florida.
