Heavy Music history was written on Thursday, May 2 at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles, CA. Not only did the Revolver Golden Gods Awards welcome the elite of the music we all love, but the energy inside the sold out venue was incomparable. Here is a scoop of who won what, and who performed with whom.

This is very cool: ANTHRAX guitarist is now hosting a pretty badass web series on the Nerdist YouTube channel called "Blood & Guts". In this series premiere episode (see below), join Ian (as he spends a day with legendary FX artist Greg Nicotero in his KNB EFX studio. See Nicotero's vast prop collection from throughout his career and also experience an awe-inspiring bit of blood and guts.
"I've been neck-deep in blood and guts for the last 30 years playing in ANTHRAX," stated Scott Ian, "so I couldn't be more excited to be hosting a show called 'Blood & Guts' for you horror and Metal fans."

This just in: legendary Heavy Metal singer Philip Anselmo (DOWN, ex-PANTERA) will be joining the Sirius XM Liquid Metal family. Anselmo will be hosting a weekly show where he will be playing his favorite Metal! The news was revealed during an interview that Jose Mangin conducted with Anselmo earlier today. Mangin twitted the following:
"WOW hope y'all just caught that! @PhilipAnselmoFA will be doing a weekly show on @SXMLiquidMetal on @SiriusXM where he plays his FAV Metal!"
As previously reported, DOWN is scheduled to release four EP's dubbed as 'Down IV' throughout the next four years. Entitled EP ONE, the first volume of the 4 EP series will be available on September 18th.
