Between The Buried And Me Announce Japanese, Australian & New Zealand Tour Dates!
The announcement comes as the Charlotte, North Carolina band are in the midst of a North American tour, co-headlining Summer Slaughter Tour with a handful of headlining dates later this month. Between The Buried And Me follow the U.S. dates with an extensive European tour, which begins on October 1st in Reading, UK. A list of tour dates is available below.
'The Parallax II: Future Sequence' marks the quintet's most ambitious release to date and their first-full length release on Metal Blade arrives on October 9th. The 12-track, conceptual release was described by Tommy Rogers (vocals, keyboards) as: "A conceptual journey that takes the listener to worlds that seem familiar and worlds that make you scratch your head. From start to finish this is music we want to create, not music we think people want us to create. We create songs that keep us (and hopefully you) excited about Heavy Music." The first single from the release, "Telos," can be streamed below.
Between The Buried And Me have sold in excess of 400,000 records since their 2002 self-titled debut. "The group's ability to layer long, melodic arcs over squibs of dissonance has never been more surgical and soulful," said Alternative Press of the band's prequel to 'The Parallax II' (2011 EP 'The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues'). Revolver described the set as "a cohesive piece of art" and added "Between The Buried And Me are on a level of songwriting skill that few bands hope to reach..."

'The Parallax II: Future Sequence', which clocks in at approximately 72 minutes, features artwork from Charlotte, North Carolina artist and designer Chandler Owen (Underoath, Shai Hulud, and Hopesfall). The group - TOMMY ROGERS (vocals / keyboards), PAUL WAGGONER (guitar), DUSTIE WARING (guitar), BLAKE RICHARDSON (drums / percussion) DAN BRIGGS (bass) - are currently touring as direct support to Cannibal Corpse on The Summer Slaughter Tour 2012, which kicked off with a sold out show at the House of Blues in Hollywood on July 20th.
Regarding the concept of 'The Parallax II: Future Sequence', the NEW full-length album picks up where the 2011 EP, 'The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues', left off. "The two main characters of the story take on a journey through space and time with the unenviable task of having to cure the flaws of humanity by any means necessary. While the EP served mostly as an introduction to the characters, Future Sequence contains the action of the story. The lyrics are written in the stream of consciousness style, which really helps to capture the perspective and emotion of the characters. We really enjoyed the challenge of writing this record, and I think we were all pleasantly surprised with how well the music and lyrics jived with one another. I couldn't be happier with how Future Sequence turned out," comments guitarist Paul Waggoner.
Vocalist and keyboardist Tommy Rogers adds his thoughts on the musical direction of 'The Parallax II: Future Sequence'. "This album is BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME on steroids. I feel like we have created an album that perfectly mirrors the band we've been trying to create since day one. An album that has sounds that will stimulate many genres and music fans alike. A conceptual journey that takes the listener to worlds that seem familiar and worlds that make you scratch your head. From start to finish this is music we want to create, not music we think people want us to create. We create songs that keep us (and hopefully you) excited about heavy music. Keep listening… something new will be there each time. Enjoy the music… we enjoyed writing it."

CANNIBAL CORPSE Are Ready To Slaughter Ear Drums; The 2012 Summer Slaughter Tour Is Finally Here!
Tomorrow night, American Death Metal legends CANNIBAL CORPSE will kick off their headlining spot on this year's Summer Slaughter tour at the House Of Blues in Los Angeles (now SOLD OUT)! The band will be joined by label mates Between The Buried and Me, Job For A Cowboy and Goatwhore as well as The Faceless, Periphery, Veil of Maya, and Cerebral Bore. In honor of the tour kick off, Metal Injection will be hosting a pre-game Summer Slaughter podcast which will allow fans to chat LIVE with the bands. The one-hour pre-game show begins at 3:00pm EST/12:00pm PST at THIS LOCATION. Don't miss it.
Additionally, CANNIBAL CORPSE will appear on day two (August 18, 2012) of this year's inaugural Knot Fest alongside fest headlining hosts Slipknot, Deftones, Lamb Of God, Deathklok and more! For more info head over to the official website HERE.
CANNIBAL CORPSE are touring in support of their critically lauded, impossibly brutal full-length, 'Torture', released through Metal Blade Records earlier this Spring. On the twelfth studio offering of their inspiring twenty-four year career, the Floridian quintet have never sounded so vital, the album building upon the wealth of powerful, dark, and memorable songs comprising 2006's 'Kill' and 2009's 'Evisceration Plague' and pointedly upping the ante at every turn. The record landed the band at #38 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart upon its first week of release, making it the highest debut in CANNIBAL CORPSE history! Torture landed at #7 on the Billboard Top Independent Album Chart, #4 on the Billboard Top Hard Music Albums chart and #32 Billboard Top Current Albums Chart. Produced by Hate Eternal's Erik Rutan, Torture continues to reap critical accolades from critics and fans around the globe and is yet another testament to CANNIBAL CORPSE's permanent allegiance to shrewdly arranged, pile-driving Death Metal madness.

BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME Release NEW Album Details: Album Artwork Revealed + Street Date Announced!
Globally celebrated progressive Rock / cutting-edge Metal innovators BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME (aka BTBAM) has announced the name of the upcoming full-length album as 'The Parallax II: Future Sequence'. The NEW album, which clocks in at approximately 72 minutes, will be released October 9 and features artwork from Charlotte, North Carolina artist and designer Chandler Owen (Underoath, Shai Hulud, and Hopesfall). The group - TOMMY ROGERS (vocals / keyboards), PAUL WAGGONER (guitar), DUSTIE WARING (guitar), BLAKE RICHARDSON (drums / percussion) DAN BRIGGS (bass) - are currently preparing for their direct support slot on the Summer Slaughter tour that kicks off in Los Angeles, CA at the House of Blues on Friday, July 20.
'The Parallax II: Future Sequence' was recorded at The Basement Studios in Winston-Salem, NC with longtime friend of the band and producer Jamie King. Jamie engineered, mixed and mastered 'The Parallax II: Future Sequence', which makes this the sixth release Jamie and BTBAM have worked together on.
From start to finish this is music we want to create, not music we think people want us to create. We create songs that keep us (and hopefully you) excited about heavy music. Keep listening… something new will be there each time. Enjoy the music… we enjoyed writing it."
'The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues' (released 4/12/11) is a three-song strong, 30-minute tour de force of modern Heavy Music.
'The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues' (released 4/12/11) is a three-song strong, 30-minute tour de force of modern Heavy Music. Produced and engineered by the Grammy awardwinning David Bottrill (Tool, Muse, King Crimson, Dream Theater, etc.) with BTBAM, the record soared to #54 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in its first week of release while landing the #5 spot on the Hard Music chart, and #8 on the Independent Albums chart in its first week of release. 'The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues' also debuted in Canada charting at #62 on the Top 200 Current chart, #6 on the Hard chart, and #14 on the Independent chart.

CANNIBAL CORPSE Announce Australian Tour + Summer Slaughter Headlining Dates Revealed!
After three long torturous years, Death Metal titans, CANNIBAL CORPSE, return to Australia for a sarcophagic frenzy of sordid and demented proportions! Set to commence on October 4, the band will ravage five cities — Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth — in support of their latest and ceaselessly hostile full-length, 'Torture'.
Released through Metal Blade Records earlier this Spring, 'Torture' proves that when it comes to combining unrestrained maliciousness, involved song writing and technical precision, there is no equal. On the twelfth full-length of their inspiring twenty-four year career, the Floridian quintet have never sounded so vital, the album building upon the wealth of powerful, dark, and memorable songs comprising 2006's Kill and 2009's 'Evisceration Plague' and pointedly upping the ante at every turn. CANNIBAL CORPSE are the pinnacle of Death Metal and the sledgehammer force of the forthcoming live cannibalism will yet again prove this beyond any doubt.
