WATAIN Begin Working On NEW Music!
Today (January 17), his Masters Noise and Century Media are proud to announce the beginning of a NEW chapter of the WATAIN epos! The band comments:
"Since the harvest, WATAIN have been occupied with preparations for a long and hard journey. Seeds have been sown, blades have been sharpened and new fires have been lit to illuminate the untrodden tunnels that lay before us as we descend further down the maze..."
And so it was that on the 3rd of January, 3 years on the day since the recording of 'Lawless Darkness' did commence, WATAIN returned to Necromorbus Studio and begun working on what is to become the 5th full length album. The tentative time of release is now set for August 2013. More details will be unveiled soon.
Formed back in 1998, the first two albums 'Rabid Death's Curse' (2000) and 'Casus Luciferi' (2003) established the band firmly within the underground scene whereas 'Sworn To The Dark' (2007) and especially 'Lawless Darkness' (2010) helped them conquer a wider audience making them one of the most talked about acts in recent years. Musically rooted in classic Black Metal inspired by the likes of VENOM, HELLHAMMER, BATHORY, MAYHEM, DISSECTION as well as the grandeur of old IRON MAIDEN, METALLICA, RAINBOW, it is the larger-than-life aesthetics and total dedication to their art that elevates WATAIN beyond almost any other extreme metal band out there. WATAIN is satanic metal at its most frightening and fascinating.

WATAIN Inks Worldwide Deal With Century Media Records - Official Statement Available!
Century Media Records is proud to welcome Swedish Black Metal extremists WATAIN to its worldwide family. Legitimately labeled as genre leaders, deservedly awarded with a Swedish Grammy, playing the world's biggest stages and touring the globe constantly while reaching numerous top positions in the annual reader's polls, WATAIN have worked hard and achieved a lot over the past years despite successfully ignoring any kind of conformity and concession to the Metal mainstream. Unrivaled in their unwillingness to compromise and clear artistic vision, WATAIN are most befittingly described with the title of BATHORY's third opus - "Blood Fire Death", a fact they never fail to underline with their infamous live shows: The stench of rotting animal cadavers, the inferno of candelabras and torches, chalices of blood, darkness and death - WATAIN are a full scale attack on all sensory organs. In days of toothless, sterile, family-friendly Metal they embody danger and dread and are rewarded with a maximum of support and appreciation.
WATAIN comments:
"We are writing this from a magical place of desolation and desert-like vastness, where wondrous things are at this very moment taking place. Things that will come to colour our world as well as yours in the strangest hues for many years to come. We are entering this new chapter of WATAIN with a will and confidence to make it the most diverse and rememberable so far. And with the things that we have in mind for the future, it looks like it will be just so. Just wait and see, f***ers! Loud and terrible shall the trumpets of Devils sound..."
"Century Media is massively excited to work with WATAIN. This band has it all: charisma, the firm will to conquer the world, and an authenticity you rarely find these days. Mixed with their creativity and musical impact - this band will make it to the top. They are a healthy slap in the face for any Metal Bourgeois. We are ready to kill for them!" says Antje Lange, General Manager Century Media Europe
"I am very proud and excited to welcome WATAIN to the Century Media family. There are few bands that remind me of when I first discovered metal as a teenager that could give me the same feeling of extreme release and evil such as SLAYER, VENOM and MERCYFUL FATE did. WATAIN is one of those rare bands and I look forward to being a part of their growing career and helping today's future metalhead find their way!" adds Don Robertson, President Century Media USA.
WATAIN is satanic metal at its most frightening and fascinating.
After celebrating their 13th anniversary with the release of the DVD/double live album 'Opus Diaboli' (2012) under the band's own imprint His Master's Noise, followed by an US tour with BEHEMOTH, THE DEVIL'S BLOOD and IN SOLITUDE earlier this year plus celebrated shows at Wacken and Bloodstock Open Air, 2013 will see the release of WATAIN's much anticipated fifth studio album via His Master's Noise in collaboration with Century Media Records. Beware!

BEHEMOTH's "Nergal" Is Putting Finishing Touches On Autobiography
According to Terrorizer.com, BEHEMOTH's frontman Adam "Nergal" Darski is inking the finishing touches to his autobiography. Entitled 'Sacrum Profanum', the book is "like a really long in-depth interview," according to Nergal.
In addition to publishing the book, Nergal will be working with Polish producers Grupa 13, with whom he had previously collaborated on the BEHEMOTH videos "At The Left Hand Ov God" and "Ov Fire And The Void", on several promotional clips.
"We're shooting some trailers to support it," Nergal said. "The episodes will be little portraits of certain chapters of the book."
"Sacrum Profanum" is due in September.
In other Behemoth news, the band recently completed a series of shows and festivals throughout Europe. The shows were a massive success and featured some of the band's intense stage production to date. To sample what these shows were like, check out this bootleg of "Lucifer", live in Pratteln, Switzerland below.
Behemoth front man Nergal adds the following: "We are back home recharging our batteries before striking back at Hellfest and Graspop! Things are intense and it feels great to be raging across Europe with renewed show and refreshed set list! Unfortunately, we were kind of cursed when it came to weather forecasts on this European trek. One show in Austria had to be cancelled due to a massive thunderstorm. Nevertheless, we kept on conquering. Eight shows completed. A perfect warm up before summer. Hail to everyone who was there to support us!"
Behemoth has recently announced that they are among the acts confirmed for the Barge To Hell cruise December 3rd-7th. For more information, the entire line up, and to book a room, visit http://www.bargetohell.com.
A limited number of 'Evangelia Heretika' double LPs are still available from Metal Blade HERE. The LP, which features live audio from the DVD of the same name, comes on clear vinyl with a 12"x24" poster in a beautiful gatefold package. 'Evangelion' and 'Ezkaton' vinyl are also available; visit indiemerch.com/metalbladerecords for the complete list of releases.

BEHEMOTH's "Nergal" Returns To America On The Decibel Magazine Tour - Images Available!
As we all know (or should know), the biggest comeback of 2011 for the headbanging community was when Adam "Nergal" Darski from Behemoth returned to the musical spectrum after battling with Cancer. "Nergal" had been diagnosed with Leukemia on August 8, 2010, and in an unprecedented move his fans united in order to find him a match that could donate some bone marrow in order for Nergal to be able to get a bone marrow transplant. Following the chemo therapy, and the bone marrow transplant, today Nergal is cancer free!
"Nergal" and the rest of the Behemoth clan, recently headlined The Decibel Magazine tour and proved why they are a force to be reckoned with. This once in a lifetime tour, featured Behemoth, Watain, The Devil's Blood, and In Solitude. On Saturday, May 12, "Nergal" made his triumphant return to New York City's Irving Plaza and we were there to experience this historical moment! This is what happened when this highly anticipated concert closed the chapter of the first-ever inaugural Decibel Magazine Tour!

Swedish Black Metallers WATAIN Unveil NEW DVD Trailer
Swedish Black Metal collective WATAIN today offer up the second in a series of trailers from their upcoming 'Opus Diaboli' anniversary DVD. The production commemorates the band’s 13 years of chaos by providing a visual and audio documentation of their ceremonial anniversary concert performance in Stockholm and the long years of physical, intellectual and spiritual work leading up to it. 'Opus Diaboli' is an epic 90-minute journey into the forbidden realms of wild-hearted Satanic Metal and the manifestation of a unique band that has truly chosen a path few have ever dared to tread upon. In addition, 'Opus Diaboli' marks the the first release on WATAIN’s own label His Master’s Noise, a name originating from Bathory who had it in mind for their own label back in the early 1980s. THE DEVIL's BLOOD Declare War On Bus Driver Who Ditched Them - Official Statement Available!
"This piece of shit who was supposed to have been our driver on the US tour ran off with our money after the San Antonio Ritual last night. After being told what to do for the 1000th time and still having no clue how to ride a bus, this "Ape", as he calls himself, unable to deal with the criticism any longer ran off into down-town San Antonio and left us stranded on an intersection forcing our Tour Manager to take over the wheel. This little rat scurried off so fast that attempts to find, catch and kill it were immediately unsuccessful.
"We put this info out now so that each and every one of our contacts, friends, fans and even enemies might learn his name, spread it around and make sure that this sorry excuse for a man never ever does business with anyone ever again. We have added here his personal info and a scan of his driver's license. Feel free to repost, share, forward and catalogue for future reference. Also if anyone feels the need to vent any frustration or anger, his phone and email are noted as well...
"As for you, David, you little cunt; rest assured that one day we will meet again. A curse upon your house until the day comes that my blade is on your throat."

Swedish Black Metal Hordes WATAIN To Unleash 13th Anniversary DVD!
Swedish Black Metal heathens WATAIN are set to unleash a NEW DVD upon the masses. Titled 'Opus Diaboli', the production commemorates the band’s 13 years of chaos by providing a visual and audio documentation of their ceremonial anniversary concert performance in Stockholm and the long years of physical, intellectual and spiritual work leading up to it. 'Opus Diaboli' is an epic 90-minute journey into the forbidden realms of wild-hearted Satanic Metal and the manifestation of a unique band that has truly chosen a path few have ever dared to tread upon.
Comments the band in a collective statement: “This movie was first meant to be the recording of our 13-year anniversary concert, but as everything with WATAIN, it took on a life of its own and become one of our most ambitious projects to date. It is a very personal and emotional piece of work and is certainly not for the faint of heart. But for those who wish to explore the glimmering abyss of WATAIN further, this will be a rewarding release for sure. The box version of 'Opus Diaboli' [available exclusively through the band’s own WOLFWEAR.NET] contains an exclusive photobook. It was an overwhelming experience going through the massive archives in search of photos that best sum up the storm of passionate turmoil that has marked the WATAIN journey, especially since we wanted to stay away from live photos and focus more on moments off stage. The results were however very satisfying and offer a rare and spicy mixture of photos of which most have never been published previously. We are also proud to announce that this will be the first release on our own label "His Master’s Noise", a name originating from Bathory who had it in mind for their own label back in the early 1980s. Just like with our merch store WOLFWEAR.NET from which the limited box set will be available, this time we have chosen to stand by our own and do things our way.”
- 'Opus Diaboli' DVD: A four-panel digipack including the DVD, two audio CDs featuring the full concert plus a 16-page booklet with historical photos and flyers.
- 'Opus Diaboli' Box: Limited 12” box including the DVD, two audio CDs and two LPs featuring the full concert plus an exclusive 64-page booklet with historical photos and flyers.
Opus Diaboli will be unleashed in North America on June 5, 2012!
Beginning on April 11th and laying waste through a gargantuan 26-date run, the Decibel Magazine Tour (presented by Metal Blade Records, IndieMerchStore.com, FYE, ESP Guitars and Good Fight Entertainment) not only offers four diverse European artists hand-picked by the magazine, but doubles as Behemoth's first U.S. tour since vocalist/guitarist Adam "Nergal" Darski's well-documented battle with and triumph over leukemia.

The Decibel Magazine Tour In Columbus, OH Moved To NEW Location Due To Religious Beliefs - Statement From Nergal Available!
The highly anticipated inaugural Decibel Magazine tour kicks off in a mere eight days in Columbus, OH. It wasn't too late, however, for the venue owners to prohibit the bands from appearing at The Brewmaster's Gate. Behemoth, Watain, The Devil's Blood, and In Solitude are being forbidden from playing at the venue because of religious conflicts with the venue owners. These bands are no strangers to this type of treatment, and a NEW venue has already been confirmed. The Columbus, OH show will now be at Al Rosa. Tickets for this show are still available and can be purchased HERE.
Behemoth's front man, Nergal, comments further: "Wow, big motherfuckin' WOW! We are facing a legendary moment: Amerika, the land of the free, is banning Behemoth coz of religious beliefs. The madness starts in Ohio, but of korz we are playing anyway. Nothing can stop us now. God, please save me from this freedom…"
The inaugural Decibel Magazine Tour will feature not just the long-awaited stateside return of Polish blackened Death Metal overlords Behemoth, but support from Swedish Black Metal provocateurs Watain, Dutch prog mystics the Devil's Blood and Swedish old-school occultists In Solitude. The official tour video trailer can be seen below, thanks to Metal Blade TV.

THE DEVIL'S BLOOD Are Packed & Ready To Get On The Decibel Magazine Tour- Statement Available!
Dutch occult rockers THE DEVIL’S BLOOD are gearing up for a near month-long run of North American dates on the forthcoming Decibel Magazine Tour alongside Behemoth, Watain and In Solitude. The band will be touring in support of 'The Thousandfold Epicentre', released earlier this year via Metal Blade Records.
Comments founder and band leader SL: “THE DEVIL'S BLOOD are proud and extremely eager to travel the New World alongside some of the world’s most dedicated Metal bands. Dedicated not to some pathetic notion of ‘scene’ or ‘unity’ but to a clear, totally individual, spiritual path that although not understood by most is perhaps the most valid and urgent one available for wandering feet to travel in the twilight of the Iron Age. We share many opinions and disagree on many more, yet our offerings all speak of that great mystery which we all aspire to with passion and fury. Praise be to all those who accompany us on this particular path.”
In related news, the cover of the May 2012 issue of Decibel Magazine is devoted to the tour and offers up in-depth coverage on all four bands. For ordering info, go to THIS LOCATION.
THE DEVIL'S BLOOD is a dedication to principles and principals more ancient than Time, a branch of a tree greater than the World, an exclamation of both the profound and the profane. THE DEVIL'S BLOOD has always been one of the many vessels through which the Light of the Devil shines upon the darkness of the world and shall always be the possible entrance to a path walked alone. But only for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. This path starts not in understanding but in confusion.

BEHEMOTH Will Begin Crushing North America On April 11th In Columbus, Ohio - Are You Ready?
With one of the most satanic line ups this year, Polish Blackened Death Metal lords BEHEMOTH, along with special guests WATAIN, THE DEVILS BLOOD and IN SOLITUDE will launch the 2012 Decibel Magazine Tour at The Brewmaster's Gate in Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday, April 11th. The tour opener is presented by Metal talent buyers Columbus Events Group LLC (CEG), and will be the only Ohio date of the tour and the show will be all ages.
"Considering the fact that we'll be sharing the stage with the most evil and uncompromising bands around—Watain, the Devil's Blood and In Solitude—this already makes it a legendary bill that you can't miss out on!" promises Nergal.
