VISION OF DISORDER Record The Best Album Of Their Career Thanks To Their Musical Maturity!

In times in which music has become somewhat predictable, generic and stale, it is very important for artists to be able to take their time developing their musical craft while moving forward with their art form. There is of course a lot of pressure for any band today, since lets face it the music industry is on a very fragile plateau and as a result bands don't "break" as quickly as they used to. Nowadays artists need to release high quality material otherwise they will get eaten up by their competitors and dissed by their fans. If there is a very positive outcome from the era of digital music its that artists must strive for quality over quantity.

This is something that VISION OF DISORDER fully understands and this is why they took their time with the overall process for their NEW album 'The Cursed Remain Cursed' (set to be released on September 18th via Candlelight Records). Following a hiatus that proved to be extremely positive for the entire band, the VOD boys reunited to perform live so they could taste the water once again and to see the reaction of their loyal fans. As we all know, hiatuses can kill an artists relevance real fast. Thankfully, vocalist Tim Williams made it a point to stay involved within the scene through his band BLOODSIMPLE and by participating at the "Roadrunner United" concert in New York City. Once VOD returned to the stage, the band members all agreed in continuing their musical legacy but this time around they would do it on their own terms so they wouldn't get burned out again.

The turning point for VOD and what helped to make 'The Cursed Remain Cursed' an instant classic, was when Tim Williams decided to clean his act up and focus on his family. As we all know, once an artist kicks away old habits they usually get a second air of inspiration. This is exactly what happened and as a result Tim Williams was able to focus on his lyrical content, his vocal projection, and balancing out his famous scream with his great singing voice.

But hey, he wasn't the only that one that matured as an artist. The rest of the band - Matt Baumbach, Mike Kennedy, Mike Fleischmann, Brendon Cohen - did their musical homework and wrote the best songs they have ever written. You may disagree with this statement since VOD have a lot of great songs in their catalog. And you can disagree all you want, that is completely fine. But we are pretty sure that when you listen to the 'Cursed Remain Cursed' you will be mind blown by a band who many have counted out but thanks to their loyal fans and the bands devotion for good music, VISION OF FU&*ING DISORDER have reinvented the steel! We predict and hope that a lot of bands "borrow" musical ideas from VOD once again and step their game up. Then we are pretty sure the quality over quantity statement (see above) will help the fragile plateau become stronger than all!
