VISION OF DISORDER Seem To Have A NEW Drummer; Band Continues To Devastate The West Coast!

After getting flourished with accolades by the Heavy Music world after the release of their latest album 'The Cursed Remain Cursed' (available now via Candlelight Records), VISION OF DISORDER are currently rocking the West Coast of the United States Of America. The band is also confirmed for this year's Soundwave Festival in Australia and the Download Festival in the U.K.

Tonight, the band will be performing at the legendary Whiskey A Go Go in Los Angeles, California.

One big surprise this year, is that apparently VOD have a NEW drummer. If you have been to any of their recent shows, you might have noticed that the bands original drummer Brendon Cohen is not sitting on the drumming throne. Additionally, the band posted this hilarious picture of the band in Seattle, Washington. As you can see Cohen is not pictured here:

We reached out to the bands vocalist Tim Williams to see if he can confirm if the band has a NEW drummer and he answered "keep you posted". So in other words, he is not confirming or dismissing this piece of news. We will let you know as soon as more information becomes available.

VISION OF DISORDER Live Takeovers Include Concerts In California & Washington!

In times in which music has become somewhat predictable, generic and stale, it is very important for artists to be able to take their time developing their musical craft while moving forward with their art form. There is of course a lot of pressure for any band today, since lets face it the music industry is on a very fragile plateau and as a result bands don't "break" as quickly as they used to. Nowadays artists need to release high quality material otherwise they will get eaten up by their competitors and dissed by their fans. If there is a very positive outcome from the era of digital music its that artists must strive for quality over quantity.

This is something that VISION OF DISORDER fully understands and this is why they took their time with the overall process for their NEW album 'The Cursed Remain Cursed' (set to be released on September 18th via Candlelight Records).

      Nextmosh photo gallery HERE!

Following the devastation brought on by Hurricane Sandy on October 29th, Long Island badasses Vision Of Disorder immediately reorganized their headlining show in Brooklyn, NY. On Saturday, November 24th the band organized a benefit show for the victims of Sandy. The event was coordinated by VOD along with Candlelight Records, Earsplit PR and Metal Insider.

100% of the ticket proceeds from VOD as well as supporting acts Yuppicide, Swarm of Arrows and Primitive Weapons were donated to the Red Cross to aid residents whose lives were impacted by the storm. Show attendees brought supplies for area shelters and food banks. Supplies to aid pets and animals displaced by the storm were donated to Last Resort Animal Rescue in New Jersey.

Following this very special show, we joined forces with our friends from Nextmosh and conducted an exclusive interview with VOD's own Tim Williams. During the interview we discussed the impact of Hurricane Sandy within the East Coast of the United States, and why the band decided to take matters into their own hands. We also discussed the band latest sonic assault 'The Cursed Remain Cursed' (available now via Candlelight Records).

Former CRO MAGS bassist Harley Flanagan before returning to court: "I can't believe I'm even getting charged at all"

On Friday, July 6, the CBGB Fest show that took place at New York City's Webster Hall was cancelled after two current members of the CRO MAGS were allegedly stabbed by Harley Flanagan (the founding member of the CRO MAGS). The incident occurred right after VISION OF DISORDER's set!

As seen on the NY Post: Around 8:15 PM, while the CRO MAGS were getting ready to take the stage, Harley Flanagan, 42, made his way into the venue’s VIP section toward the bands dressing room, sending nearly 30 guests on the balcony into a frenzy, law enforcement sources and witnesses said.

This Wednesday, December 5, Flanagan returns to court regarding the stabbing incident mentioned above, and he is obviously frustrated. Here is a Facebook post he did today (December 2), in which he lashes out at the current CRO MAGS members and the New York Hard Core community:

"In 4 days I go back to court for putting the cowards in the hospital who jumped me at that fake Cro-Mags show at that fake CBGB's fest. Lmfao.

"I can't believe I'm even getting charged at all, John Bloodclot should be embarrassed and ashamed that he even chills with wanna be thugs and fake tough guys... if he's not I am for him. LOL. I saw Mackie a few weeks ago and he said: "I told John he should have had you come up and play a few songs, then none of that shit would have happened". He even went on to say that they obviously knew what they were in for... that's why they set me up and jumped on me cause they knew I was no joke, and I ain't no punk. He also added that the fact that I went their Alone says a lot...

"That's right, it says it All!

"What a sad state of affairs... a real motherfucker who started NYHC getting jumped by people who wish they did. LOL. Fucking sheep and cowards jumping people at shows, and getting themselves fucked up. LOL. Gangs are for people who lack balls on their own.

"NYHC today: Old guys pretending their still young trying to squeeze a few bucks out of what's left of it, and young guys who wish they were old school. LOL.

"I roll with the Gracies, I chill with my kids, and I started the shit other motherfuckers still imitate.
"I am real, so go on take another bite.

"While the frauds are pretending, I'm keeping it really real."

VISION OF DISORDER Premiere Music Video For "Hard Times"; Band To Perform Hurricane Benefit Show This Weekend In Brooklyn NY!

Long Island Hardcore pioneers VISION OF DISORDER have just released their newly-completed official video for the pummeling track “Hard Times”. The fourth anthem from their lauded, fourth full-length 'The Cursed Remain Cursed', VOD enlisted the expertise of Tom J. Cronin to direct and construct the high-paced visual depiction of the song, filmed live at two vicious gigs in London and Manchester just days before the release of 'The Cursed Remain Cursed' this past September.

Crowd-walk, stagedive and jaw-punch your way through “Hard Times” (courtesy of Noisey, VICE Magazine’s music channel):

VISION OF DISORDER's Brooklyn Headlining Show = Red Cross Benefit For Hurricane Sandy Victims!

Today VISION OF DISORDER confirms that all the proceeds from their upcoming headlining concert in Brooklyn later this month will be donated to the Red Cross, in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

What was simply a headlining show for the band has now been dubbed “Picking Up Change: Hardcore For Hurricane Relief.” VISION OF DISORDER initiated this act of support to their community after witnessing the catastrophic demolition across the New York metropolitan area and beyond as Sandy surged through our region on October 29th. VOD, as well as the other bands performing at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on November 24th, will contribute donations to the Red Cross to help aid the decimated areas and many displaced local residents throughout the Northeast as the season grows colder.

In a collective statement the members of VOD had this to say: “Our hearts go out to those severely affected by this tragic incident. Being from Long Island, Hurricane Sandy has (quite literally) hit home for us. The music scene in Long Island, The New York metro area and New Jersey have been so supportive to VOD over the years that we felt donating the proceeds from the Brooklyn show was a no-brainer. We are proud to announce that the opening acts (Primitive Weapons, Yuppicide, Swarm of Arrows) have also agreed to donate their proceeds. We hope that this small gesture can add to the ongoing efforts and help rebuild these traumatized areas. We look forward to seeing you all on Nov 24th to support this cause.”

In addition to the funds generated by VISION OF DISORDER, Yuppicide, Primitive Weapons and Swarm of Arrows at “Picking Up Change: Hardcore For Hurricane Relief” going directly to the Red Cross, show attendees are invited to bring supplies – canned/nonperishable food, batteries, toilet paper, etc. -- for area shelters and food banks, as donation bins will be posted outside of the venue. Supplies to aid pets and animals displaced by the storm are also acceptable and will be donated to Last Resort Animal Rescue in New Jersey.

The members of VISION OF DISORDER, in an alliance with Candlelight Records, Earsplit PR, Metal Insider, The Music Hall of Williamsburg and all parties involved with this event, are reaching out to all area hardcore and metal fans to join them on November 24th, not only to take part in what is sure to be a high-action live show, but more importantly to help contribute to this imperative objective of getting the displaced families and businesses back on their feet. Doors open at 7:30pm.

Full ticket info for this event can be found RIGHT HERE.

VOD's Performance At The CD Release Show For 'The Cursed Remain Cursed' Will Never Be Forgotten!

This past Friday, October 19th, VISION OF DISORDER presented their brand NEW record 'The Cursed Remain Cursed' (available now via Candlelight Records) to their hometown audience at Club Revolution in Amityville, New York. The event also featured performances by This Life We Live, Doomsday Mourning, Valor, Incendiary, and This Is Hell.

The record release show for 'The Cursed Remain Cursed' was also filmed for inclusion in a video documentary about the Long Island Hardcore community!

Anyhow, what we witnessed on Friday night will forever live in our musical memories. The 18 song set list presented on a live setting by the members of VOD - Tim Williams, Mike Kennedy, Matt Baumbach, Michael Fleischmann, and Brendon Cohen - proved why they are one of the tightest bands to ever surface from the Hard Core and Metal planet. We have seen them perform many times, but it was evident that they have recently been playing live continuously, and that the band is relieved to finally have a NEW batch of songs available for them to perform live.

Live music is all about capturing a vibe that is infectious not only for the crowd, but also for the band members. And on Friday night, the VOD boys were all smiles and had a great time performing song after song for over 1 hour.

The band performed 5 cuts from 'The Cursed Remain Cursed':

- Set To Fail
- Loveless
- Be Up On It
- Hard Times
- Blood Red Sun

Additionally, the band performed MANY of their classic songs from their self titled album (The Green Album) and 'Imprint':

- DTO
- 7/13
- Imprint
- Viola
- Watch Out
- Suffer
- For The Bleeders
- What You Are
- Adelaide
- Jada Bloom
- Element
- Choke
- Formula For Failure

VISION OF DISORDER Live:

11/24/2012 Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn, NY w/ Primitive Weapons, Yuppicide

We spoke with members of the band before and after this historical concert, so stay tuned to check that out! For now, here are some bad ass images captured by Zulie Alvarez:

The first album from the band in over a decade, 'The Cursed Remain Cursed' was released September 18th via Candlelight Records. One of the most dynamic and cleverly destructive releases in VOD's twenty year history, the album surges with over forty minutes of brand NEW material, produced by Will Putney (Shadows Fall, Suicide Silence) and mixed by Cameron Webb (Motörhead, Social Distortion), and is already an instant classic with longtime fans of the band.

VISION OF DISORDER Record The Best Album Of Their Career Thanks To Their Musical Maturity!

Following a hiatus that proved to be extremely positive for the entire band, the VOD boys reunited to perform live so they could taste the water once again and to see the reaction of their loyal fans. As we all know, hiatuses can kill an artists relevance real fast. Thankfully, vocalist Tim Williams made it a point to stay involved within the scene through his band BLOODSIMPLE and by participating at the "Roadrunner United" concert in New York City. Once VOD returned to the stage, the band members all agreed in continuing their musical legacy but this time around they would do it on their own terms so they wouldn't get burned out again.

The turning point for VOD and what helped to make 'The Cursed Remain Cursed' an instant classic, was when Tim Williams decided to clean his act up and focus on his family. As we all know, once an artist kicks away old habits they usually get a second air of inspiration. This is exactly what happened and as a result Tim Williams was able to focus on his lyrical content, his vocal projection, and balancing out his famous scream with his great singing voice.

But hey, he wasn't the only that one that matured as an artist. The rest of the band - Matt Baumbach, Mike Kennedy, Mike Fleischmann, Brendon Cohen - did their musical homework and wrote the best songs they have ever written. You may disagree with this statement since VOD have a lot of great songs in their catalog. And you can disagree all you want, that is completely fine. But we are pretty sure that when you listen to the 'Cursed Remain Cursed' you will be mind blown by a band who many have counted out but thanks to their loyal fans and the bands devotion for good music, VISION OF FU&*ING DISORDER have reinvented the steel! We predict and hope that a lot of bands "borrow" musical ideas from VOD once again and step their game up. Then we are pretty sure the quality over quantity statement (see above) will help the fragile plateau become stronger than all!

VISION OF DISORDER live dates:

- 9/14/2012 The Underworld - London, UK

VISION OF DISORDER Premiere Music Video For “Set To Fail” & Do Not Disappoint!

Today VISION OF DISORDER discloses another NEW single from their anticipated pending full-length, 'The Cursed Remain Cursed', in the form of a video for the album’s second track, “Set To Fail.”

Stated guitarist Matt Baumbach: "’Set To Fail’ is a song that was literally finished the day before we went into the studio. [Mike] Kennedy showed up with this insane riff and it all came together very fast. This record is crazy in that some songs took three years and others took three days. It's by far one of our strongest tracks ever in my opinion and its gonna be insane live."

Vocalist Tim Williams added: “Set To Fail” was the last song to come together for The Cursed Remain Cursed writing sessions. When the track was played back over the studio speakers it was clear from the first thirty seconds we had a monster on our hands. The track represented everything VOD was, is and will be. All the elements and chaos VOD has to offer is within the track. When our friend Kirk Farrington approached us for a video shoot there was no doubt in our minds that this song would be it. Lyrically, the utmost honest and venomous track on the record, coming from a journey through the several levels of a personal hell so deep, that even the sun could cast no shadows.”

“Loveless,” the lead single and opening track from The Cursed Remain Cursed has already stormed into the Top 20 on CMJ’s Loud Rock Album chart, and is streaming via Lambgoat.com HERE!.
