On Monday, February 19, French Metallers GOJIRA concluded their "L'Enfant Savage Tour" at New York City's Irving Plaza. This concert was scheduled to take place on Friday, February 8, but had to be postponed due to "Blizzard Nemo". The tour also featured THE DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT and THE ATLAS MOTH.

We just went to Irving Plaza here in New York City to interview Mr. Devin Townsend and found this sign posted right outside the venue:

A word from the GOJIRA camp:

"***URGENT attention NYC Fans, Tonight's Sold Out show at Irving Plaza is unfortunately going to be postponed due to the storm. We have made ever effort to do the show tonight and was prepared to play, but we are now being told due to the public transit being down and the possibility of the storm worsening, many of our fans will not be able to make the show and we would hate to risk that happening, so the show is being postponed to February the 19th.

As the tri-state area of the United States awaits a pretty massive winter storm, a blizzard warning is in effect starting on Friday, February 8 at 6 AM ET and end at on 1 PM ET on Saturday, February 9, the big question a lot of headbangers have is whither or not the concert featuring GOJIRA, THE DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT, and THE ATLAS MOTH, will happen or not. The concert is scheduled to take place tonight at Irving Place in New York City.

Heavy Devy has released the following update regarding tonight's sold out concert:

"We're well aware that a pesky blizzard is expecting to hit the NY area tomorrow and at this point we are unsure what this will mean for the Irving Plaza show. Looks like the bands will be able to get there before the storm hits but if there's an official travel warning put out for cars and trains it may be cancelled by the promoter anyway. We also need to make sure that the bands are able to get out to play the rest of the tour so it's all a bit messy at the moment.

"We'll be having a talk with the promoter in the A.M. EST and will take it from there. More news to follow soon..."

Update On The GOJIRA & DEVIN TOWNSEND Concert In New York City!

It's a great feeling to see people having a good time, and it makes us feel great that we're all having a good time with such a dumb song. Thanks a lot for this! GOJIRA & THE DEVIN TOWNSEND Winter Tour: Ticket Details & Full Itinerary Unveiled!

Metal behemoths GOJIRA will embark on their first headline tour of the U.S. this winter, with The Devin Townsend Project and The Atlas Moth serving as support. The band's Roadrunner debut 'L'Enfant Sauvage' was released in June of this year, to much critical acclaim.

The tour kicks off on January 14 in Minneapolis and runs through February 16, wrapping up in Philadelphia. It will wind through the country and Canada, hitting major markets along the way.

The VIP pre-sale will begin Tuesday, October 23 at 3PM local time, with public onsales to follow on Friday, October 26.

Fans who pre-order tickets before December 1 will be rewarded for their early support. They will receive an instant download of two exclusive live tracks ("Love" and "Toxic Garbage") from the band's special NYC show at Webster Hall, which was recorded in August of 2012, along with a download of a full show from the band's current European tour. The full show will be provided via email at a later date.

GOJIRA To Join Forces With DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT In North America!

Yesterday, Joe Duplantier from GOJIRA announced during the Full Metal Jackie nationally syndicated radio show that Gojira and The Devin Townsend Project will be joining forces for month-long North American tour in January and February of 2013. GOJIRA Premiere Lyric Video For "Liquid Fire"!

Earlier this year, French Metallers GOJIRA celebrated of the release of their latest fantastic release 'L'Enfant Sauvage' (available now via Roadrunner Records). After having a massive North American tour with LAMB OF GOD and DETHKLOK canceled, GOJIRA took it upon themselves to perform a series of intimate shows in New York City. The band will be coming to the U.K. this November (details available below).

As they keep winning NEW fans over thanks to their latest sonic assault, GOJIRA have now premiered a lyric video for on of the cuts out of 'L'Enfant Sauvage'. Entitled "Liquid Fire", this tune is definitely one of the best songs that the band has ever written. LAMB OF GOD: Tickets On Sale This Weekend, NEW Show Added & CANNIBAL CORPSE To Join Band For 1 Show!

This weekend (September 21, 22) tickets for 36 of the 38 shows on the fall LAMB OF GOD tour will go on sale. The Atlanta show and the Kansas City show will go on sale the following weekend (September 28, 29). As previously announced, the tour starts October 30th in Phoenix, Arizona and runs to December 16th in Seattle, Washington. In Flames and Sylosis are on all of the dates with Hatebreed and HELLYEAH splitting the tour.

In conjunction with ESP guitars, LAMB OF GOD will be giving away a signed guitar in every market. The giveaway will be in conjunction with local media partners. For the Columbus show on December 2nd, Death Metal icons Cannibal Corpse will replace HELLYEAH. A NEW show has been added November 15th in Glens Falls, New York at the Civic Center. Also, the Los Angeles show on October 31st will be at the Palladium.

LAMB OF GOD Announce U.S. Tour With IN FLAMES, HATEBREED OR HELLYEAH!

After a successful reunion with singer Randy Blythe at the two KnotFest shows in mid-August, LAMB OF GOD is pleased to announce a 38-date fall U.S tour starting October 30th in Phoenix, Arizona. Joining LAMB OF GOD as direct support for the entire tour is Sweden's IN FLAMES. HATEBREED will be joining the package from October 30th until November 19th at which point HELLYEAH will replace them for the remainder of the shows. British band SYLOSIS will open all dates. Due to Randy Blythe’s continuing legal situation, the band will not be able to perform in Canada on this tour but look forward to doing an entire Canadian run in the near future.

The tour will be the first U.S tour in support of the band’s CD, 'Resolution', which debuted at #3 upon its release in January, and will be the last tour dates of 2012. Tickets for the tour will begin to go on sale the weekend of September 21st.

Randy Blythe Needs Our Help: LAMB OF GOD Launch eBay Memorabilia Auction For Blythe's Defense Fund!

While LAMB OF GOD singer Randy Blythe is back home in America after five weeks in prison in the Czech Republic, his legal problems are far from over. Manslaughter charges are still hanging over Blythe and at some point over the next few months he will have to return to Prague and stand trial. Faced with continuing massive legal bills, LAMB OF GOD has decided to create an eBay auction of equipment and memorabilia to raise money for Randy’s legal bills. All equipment was either used on tour or in the recording studio or in a video. The auction features items provided by all five members of LAMB OF GOD.

In addition, a number of musicians have offered equipment to be used in the auction. Guitars have been donated by Machine Head’s Robb Flynn and Phil Demmel as well as Slash and Five Finger Death Punch. Megadeth’s David Ellefson and Five Finger Death Punch’s Chris Kael have each contributed a bass and the members of Five Finger Death Punch also have contributed a signed skateboard.

Justice Now, the site set up for donations, will remain open for those wishing to donate to Randy’s defense fund. The band appreciates all of the support Randy has received since his arrest on June 28th and is thankful for all of the donations that have been made in these tough economic times. As stated before, without the fans, there is no LAMB OF GOD.

As previously reported, LAMB OF GOD is busy rescheduling a canceled U.S. tour for October. According to Lambgoat, the first announced date of the tour, in Phoenix, AZ at Comerica Theater on October 30th. Unfortunately, DETHKLOK and GOJIRA won't be joining LAMB OF GOD this time around. But get this: HATEBREED, IN FLAMES and SYLOSIS will be part of what promises to be an epic tour. More details coming soon!
