Finland's Heavy Metal machines CHILDREN OF BODOM, have announced that they will not able to perform at Tuska Festival next year. The annual festival is set to take place June 28-30, 2013 in Suvilahti, Helsinki, Finland. The reason? Well, the band is scheduled to appear on a "big tour" in the United States. We think the band might be part of next year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. As we all know, Mayhem Fest is the biggest Heavy Metal tour and it usually kicks off in late June.
Here is what the bands bassist Henkka Seppälä had to say: "We've been waiting to play Tuska for some years now. It is our home festival after all. Unfortunately, this year we have to sacrifice a couple of festivals in Europe in order to be able to be part of a big tour in USA. These are not easy nor nice decisions. We only can hope we can do Tuska in the near future again.
"Please stay tuned for our schedules for summer 2013. Fortunately, we are able to play shows in Europe as well. Looking forward!"
As previously reported, CHILDREN OF BODOM have inked a worldwide recording deal (excluding Japan) with Nuclear Blast Records. The celebrated Metal label -- who worked with the band over the early stages of its career -- is proud to announce the renewed partnership with the world famous band. Read the bands statement HERE!
