Not only did the fifth edition of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards welcome the elite of the music we all love, but the energy inside the sold out venue was incomparable. Here is a scoop of who won what, and who performed with whom.

Jose Mangin: Pantera Jam With Anthrax, Jeff Hanneman's Memorial At The Golden Gods Awards!

Right after the event was concluded with a historical performance by METALLICA, we ran into Jose Mangin (Sirius XM) right outside the venue! Jose was pretty speechless and emotional after thousands of headbangers paid tribute to SLAYER's Jeff Hanneman at the fifth edition of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. During this interview, which was crashed by LAPD, we chatted about the growth of the Golden Gods Awards and how the fans have risen to the occasion year after year. Check it out now!

GWAR Announce Hostile Takeover: Live Broadcast On AXS TV!

This is too cool! GWAR will be taking over AXS TV to bring to you the human scum a live broadcast transmission from one of their upcoming performances. GWAR "Fate or Chaos Tour 2013" will be aired live on AXS TV on April 17th at The Gothic Theater in Denver, Colorado. The broadcast will air at 12:00 AM EST/ 9:00 PM PST.

There will be contests and giveaways on the GWAR tab of the AXS TV website at Facebook.com/AXSTVConcerts. Fans are also encouraged to use the hash tag #axsGWAR to participate on Twitter.

Quoteth the warty one, Oderus Urungus, lead singer of GWAR:

"'The Fate or Chaos' show is the most spectacular show we have done since the one we did before this one, and that one was awesome, even though I can't remember what it was. Now GWAR's struggle against your angry God is to be broadcast live by AXS TV and preserved for all eternity, an undying testimony to the undimmed majesty of the world's most outrageous Rock N' Roll band… the mighty GWAR!"

This show is part of the second leg of the "Fate or Chaos" tour which features support of Warbeast and Wilson. A complete list of dates can be found below.

Before the tour stars, GWAR they will be debuting their signature "GWAR-B-Q" sauce at a colossal "Meat & Meet" at the world famous "Grinders" in Kansas City on Monday April 8th from 4-6 PM.

August will see the fourth annual GWAR-B-Q, the group's annual outdoor music and meat-fest which is getting more massive every year. The new album's release follows soon after, and then the band will embark on a mega-huge world tour that will continue well into 2014. Sounds like business as usual for the hardest working band in show biz.

Dee Snider Roast: Recap & Red Carpet Footage Available!

This past Thursday, January 24), Revolver and Guitar World presented the second annual Rock & Roll Roast comedy series. The honoree: Dee Snider, lead singer of the legendary 1980s Rock band TWISTED SISTER.

Roastmaster Penn Jillette and other luminaries such as last year’s Roast honoree Zakk Wylde, Anthrax’s Scott Ian, Lita Ford, WWE legend Mick Foley and That Metal Show host Eddie Trunk, plus comedy and roast veterans Jim Norton, Craig Gass, Jim Florentine and others took aim at the singer and reality-TV icon, best known for his outspoken personality, golden locks and appearances on The Celebrity Apprentice.

Additionally, Donald Trump, Alice Cooper, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Sebastian Bach, STEEL PANTHER, Playboy Playmate Brande Roderick, Gene Simmons and wrestler and FOZZY frontman Chris Jericho, contributed video roasts to the event.



The exclusive event took place at The Grove in Anaheim, California and aired live on AXS TV. A portion of all proceeds went towards MusiCares, a nonprofit organization of The Recording Academy that provides emergency financial assistance and addiction recovery resources to music people in need. The events roastmaster was Penn Jilette, here is his hilarious intro:
