MACHINE HEAD vs Mickey Mouse: Disney Cancels Yet Another Concert Because Of "violent imagery", "inflammatory lyrics" and "undesirable fans" - Statement Available!
To say that MACHINE HEAD have been having a rough couple of weeks is an understatement. After being forced to cancel and postpone various concerts due to that bitch Sandy. The band was recently struck in the face by the corporate Mickey's over at Walt Disney. All up to date MACHINE HEAD tour dates can be seen here: http://www.machinehead1.com/tourdates
This is the bands official statement regarding this matter:
"For the third time in a row, the corporate powers behind Walt Disney Properties have once again pressured promoter Live Nation into canceling Machine Head's performance at a House of Blues venue on Disney property, this time the December 4th show in Orlando, FL.
"While no one is willing to provide evidence that would prove unfavorable to Disney, sources close to events have suggested that Machine Head remains on a "banned list", and while Dethklok, All That Remains and Black Dahlia Murder will still be allowed to play, the corporate powers at Disney have refused to allow Machine Head to perform.
"In 2007, Walt Disney Properties banned Machine Head from the House Of Blues venues in both Anaheim and Orlando, citing "violent imagery", "inflammatory lyrics" and most appallingly "undesirable fans" as the reason. The diversity-impaired corporation began pressuring the promoter with vague threats of liability and reduced job security before placing Machine Head under an internal "review process". Five days later, Walt Disney Properties would convey their alarming decision to the band, less than 48 hours before the first date of 2007's anti-war, anti-religion, anti-conservative-themed "The Blackening" album headline run at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, CA.
"A stunned Machine Head announced the details and disgust regarding the situation and let fans know of the then-rescheduled show 70 miles away at The Glass House in Pomona. In retaliation for that public announcement, Disney cancelled the band's then-upcoming performance at the House Of Blues in Orlando, citing the same absurd reasons, though they would only publicly state that they had "changed musical formats" at the venue.
"Machine Head wish to once again extend their gratitude to Live Nation and the House Of Blues for their poise and tolerance throughout these ridiculous developments, unbelievably transpiring here in these United States Of America in this year 2012.
"As they are not on Disney property and therefore not subject to the corporation's alleged coercionary tactics, the current dates with Dethklok, All That Remains and The Black Dahlia Murder at the Dallas and Houston House Of Blues will go on as scheduled. Unfortunately, Machine Head’s Florida performance will not be rescheduled in an effort to avoid creating any conflict with the existing dates on the tour."
Disney: please stop funking around with MACHINE HEAD, let them do their job!
As previously reported, the band will release 'Machine Fucking Head Live' on November 13. It's Machine Head's second live effort; 'Hellalive' was released in 2003. Nine years have passed and Machine Head still slay and administer a "Bay Area Beatdown" in the live realm. Full details HERE!
To celebrate this special release, the band is giving their devoted fans a FREE legal download of a kick ass live version of their song "This Is The End" (courtesy of Noisecreep). Click HERE to download!

COAL CHAMBER Update By Dez Fafara: "About a week ago, they sent me some new tunes and said..."
When Coal Chamber arrived to the Heavy Music scene in 1994, their
music was assimilated by millions of fans worldwide thanks to their
fresh sounding mix of Heavy Metal and Alternative Music blended with
elements of Industrial Metal. Aside from their music, their gothic
imagery also helped to captivate a ton of eye balls that were rather
confused at what Coal Chamber was feeding to them. After a successful
run that spanned from 1994 to 2003, Dez Fafara left the band due to
internal problems. Shortly after he left the band, Dez joined
DevilDriver and we all know the results of this crushing band by now:
uncompromised hard hitting Heavy Metal!
After reuniting this past March for a series of concerts as part of Australia's Soundwave Festival (video below), DevilDriver singer Dez Fafara has an update for the COAL CHAMBER fans:
"What we did is [the members of the original COAL CHAMBER band] started talking over the last six years — they were coming around to DEVILDRIVER shows and such; I mean, they actually hang out with the DEVILDRIVER guys in L.A. more than I do, 'cause I live outside of L.A., about two hours. We did that Australian run and it went just spectacular. After that, we went down and we did South America for nine days [in September], and that went killer. So now we're starting to kick around, like, 'OK, do we wanna hit the States? Do we wanna do something?'
"COAL CHAMBER, for me right now, is like a really fine woman, man. I've gotta re-date her — she's back in my life, I've gotta see how she is, and we've gotta take our time with each other. And that's what we're doing. And I think that's the important thing — we're doing it for the love of the music as well. There's a lot of people that never got to either see COAL CHAMBER live or haven't seen us in a long time due to the breakup.
"It's good to see [the other guys in the band] off hard drugs, man, and you can see these guys are crystal clear, and it makes me wanna do music with them again.
"Right now, with COAL CHAMBER, that's what we're doing — we're taking it slow. About a week ago, they sent me some new tunes and said, 'Hey, would you ever think about doing a NEW record? Here's some NEW tunes.' And they were absolutely killer. They were moving forward with their sound, but yet you could tell it was COAL CHAMBER, but it wasn't so linear. So who knows what's gonna happen in the future, man? We're just playing it by ear at this point. I've got a lot going on right now, so we just have to really see."

COAL CHAMBER Performs In Buenos Aires, Argentina - Live Footage Available!
Earlier this year, during an interview with Australia's Loud magazine, Dez talked about how the COAL CHAMBER reunion came about: "In '05, Meegs [Miguel Rascón, guitar] started coming around. He apologized to my wife for the way things went down with COAL CHAMBER, because when COAL CHAMBER split up I had to move my family into a one-bedroom apartment and start all over. So when he apologized to my wife, I thought, 'Well, OK, he's got a big heart inside him. And he's clean off the hard drugs now, let's see if this goes awhile.' So let's fast forward a few years to '09, he and Mikey [Mike Cox, drums] were still clean off hard drugs, Meegs came out and did 'Loco' onstage with DevilDriver. After that he gave me a hug onstage and in my ear he said, 'Let's do this again.'"
Earlier today (Wednesday, September 5) COAL CHAMBER performed in Buenos Aires, Argentina. You can watch the bands live performance HERE!
You can listen to an exclusive interview HERE!
As previously reported, Dez Fafara has announced that he in talks with the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, California in order to have COAL CHAMBER perform their first Los Angeles-area show in over 10 years.

"DEATH To All Tour" Hits California & Welcomes Matt Harvey From EXHUMED - Video Available!
The following night (Saturday, June 23) the trek arrived at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, California. This once in a lifetime tour, which features a majority of DEATH's amazing musicians, celebrates the life and music of Chuck Schuldiner, as well as raises awareness of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund — a charity that provides financial assistance to career musicians faced with illness, disability or age-related problems.
Matt Harvey from EXHUMED replaced Obscura vocalist Steffen Kummerer due to visa issues and had only 9 days to learn his entire set. Matt Harvey elaborates on the opportunity: “To say that I'm excited about hitting the stage with such amazing musicians would be a massive understatement. To say that I'm overwhelmed standing in Chuck's spot singing his songs would be the understatement of the century. Phrases like ‘it’s an honor’ get tossed around pretty casually, but taking part in this unique celebration is truly exhilarating, humbling and magical for me. Even though the name of the band is Death, this event is a celebration of Chuck's life and the vitality and staying power of his work. To be able to share what Death's music has meant to me this way is a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity I am incredibly grateful to have.”
Additionally, the concert organizers commented on Matt’s involvement: "The guys in the band, as well as the organizers and crew, want you to know Matt has been killing it! We are all very thankful for his efforts and talent, being able to pull this off on such short notice."
Death To All 2012 is presented by Sick Drummer Magazine/Grind Percussion LLC and Perseverance Holdings Ltd – In benefit of Sweet Relief (sweetrelief.org). This five-city tour will feature a majority of Death’s amazing musicians, as well as special guests. This tour is to celebrate the life and music of Chuck Schuldiner, as well as to raise awareness of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund – a charity that provides financial assistance to career musicians faced with illness, disability or age-related problems

Black Label Society Dominate New York City
This past Saturday, the much anticipated "Uranium tour 2011" took over New York City's Irving Plaza. From the moment we arrived to Irving Place (street were Irving Plaza is located), we ran into hundreds of BLS fans that were proudly wearing their BLS vests and getting riled up for the mayhem what would ensue a few hours later. The sold out concert was hosted by Uranium host Mistress Juliya, who demonstrated that she is a phenomenal media personality who can easily make a crowd go wild with a simple: "Hey, don't be a pussy, its cool to put your Metal Horns Up!"
The night was kicked off by Anchored, Hourcast, and Rev Theory, who had the arduous task of warming up the crowd for the mighty Black Label Society. It was clear from the get-go that Black Label Society was the headliner of the night, to the point that the venue filled up from front to back, side to side, as soon as the clock hit the tenth hour of the second half of the day. Both openers performed decent sets, but nothing compares to the beast that was unleashed once Juliya welcomed BLS to New York Rock City!
We had personally never seen the band perform live and were completely blown away from the moment they curtain was dropped. Not only did they sound very tight, but Zakk had full control of the crowd from beginning to end! His guitars sounded larger than live thanks to his 20 Marshall cabinets and the sound crew managed to not let his furious guitar sound clash with the rest of the instruments. What really impressed us is how their set-list was put together so that the performance felt very organic, it didn't feel like they were playing one song after the other, it felt a well produced concert that could have easily taken place at a bigger venue. All in all, Black Label Society proved that they are a very underrated band. Oh, and lets not forget that the band did an awesome interlude which included a 15 minute solo by Zakk Wylde, who also performed solo a few of the BLS piano classics with a synthetizer! If you have never seen Black Label Society, you are missing out! We have an exclusive interview with Mistress Juliya coming up, as well as tons of live footage of Black Label Society!

Setlist:
1) Crazy Horse
2) Funeral Bell
3) Bleed For Me
4) Demise Of Sanity
5) Overlord Play Video
6) Parade of the Dead
7) Born To Lose
8) Darkest Days
9) Fire It Up
10) Guitar Solo
11) Godspeed Hell Bound
12) The Blessed Hellride
13) Suicide Messiah
14) Concrete Jungle
15) Stillborn

URANIUM Tour invades New York City this Weekend
For many years, the TV show Uranium on Fuse TV was a "household name" in the Heavy Music world. The work done my Mistress Juliya and crew, brought the viewers a chaotic and very well put together program, which represented the culture behind the music we all love! The interviews were raw and uncensored, and Juliya quickly became a great representative for the ladies in the scene. After being canceled by Fuse TV, Juliya decided to focus on different professional endeavors, and to reinvent herself.
After a few years of putting Uranium aside, she decided it was time to bring the masses the "URANIUM Tour 2011"! The event features Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society. Joining BLS are Hail The Villain, and Rev Theory."URANIUM Tour 2011", is presented by The House Of Blues, Right Arm Entertainment and of course, Mistress Juliya from Fuse TV. And who will be hosting the New York City Show? The one and only Mistress Juliya!
"You wanted it? You got it! It is an absolute honor, to announce the return of my beloved Metal brand URANIUM in the form of a badass your! In typical URANIUM fashion, we bring you Black Label Society, All That Remains, and Hail the Villain. Need I say more?" - Mistress Juliya
