Savannah, Georgia's BLACK TUSK, are in the midst of their first ever European headline tour. The run will wrap up this week with a festival appearance in Tonsberg, Norway with an appearance at Slottsfjell Fest.
BLACK TUSK have confirmed a string of North American headlining dates for this fall. The run kicks off October 13th in Johnson City, TN and is scheduled to wrap up October 24th in Portland, Oregon. The band is touring in support of their latest release 'Set The Dial' which is streaming in full below. The album is available for purchase via Relapse.com and iTunes.
BLACK TUSK took part in the inaugural "Orion Music + More Festival" curated by Metallica this past June. Pop Culture Madness caught up with the guitarist Andrew Fidler for an interview at the festival. Check it out HERE. Andrew also chatted with The Rock Revival, that interview can be seen HERE.

Tomorrow sees the long awaited release of 'Carved Into Stone' the highly anticipated NEW studio album from PRONG. The band recently filmed a video for the song "Revenge... Best Served Cold"; it was directed by Scott Hansen (Unearth, Whitechapel, Wretched). The video is being exclusively premiered today on Noisecreep.
With 'Carved Into Stone', 'PRONG (whose lineup includes bassist Tony Campos and drummer Alexei Rodriguez) has taken a major step forward in their constantly evolving brand of sonic schematics. 'Carved into Stone' is quintessentially PRONG. It stretches into the band's earliest and dirtiest foundations on which the band was founded on New York's Lower East Side to the present as a staple of today's post-Metal and Rock scenes.

PRONG with Crowbar and Witchburn (Remaining Tour Dates):
Following successful Winter tours alongside English Dogs and The Casualties, Punk Metal road warriors TOXIC HOLOCAUST are pleased to announce another stretch of North American shows this May which will include 11 dates with blackened Thrash derelicts Midnight. The madness will commence on May 18 in Vancouver, British Columbia and roll for nearly three-weeks before coming to a close in Phoenix, Arizona.
Comments band leader Joel Grind: “We've had a few months off. I spent that time writing and recording a lot of NEW songs, but it's getting near that time to hit the road again and this time it's with our good friends and fellow Satanic demigods, Midnight. This is a tour that was conceived way back in 2007 but just finally came into fruition. Get ready for the onslaught coming your way!”
In addition, the band recently announced a two-week tour of Europe which includes select shows with Converge and numerous festival appearances. The journey begins on August 4 in Motala, Sweden at the Motala Hardcore Fest and wraps up on August 17 at Dinkelsbuhl, Germany’s Summer Breeze Festival. A complete listing of dates is included below.

The tour is in support of their forthcoming release 'Carved Into Stone' which is set for an April 24th release date on Long Branch Records, a division of SPV. Seminal Rock icons Guns N’ Roses, are set to invade Los Angeles following the series of intimate shows that the band performed in New York City. GN'R will be taking over three different venues in March, the complete list of tour dates can be seen below.
It has been 22 years since GUNS N' ROSES last visited the Hollywood Palladium, where they have set their first stop on the "Los Angeles Takeover" on March 9. Additionally, GN'R will make their first appearances at The Wiltern on March 11, and at the House of Blues on March 12.
Pre-sale for the "Los Angeles Takeover" will begin on Thursday, March 1 at 10 AM PT, public onsale is slated for Friday, March 2 at 10 a.m. PT.

VAN HALEN's NEW album, 'A Different Kind of Truth', was released this past Tuesday (February 7) via Interscope Records. The day after their highly anticipate release, VAN HALEN performed a final dress rehearsal in preparation for their upcoming North American tour which kicks off Feb 18th in Louisville, Kentucky.
This “Friends and Family” event was held at the Forum in Los Angeles for a few thousand of their closest friends. A lot of great Rock N' Roll was packed into their tight 70-minute performance. The set list for last night is shown here, but the actual tour’s set list will contain more songs, as their shows are always closer to two hours. The only solo during the night was Eddie Van Halen’s guitar solo, which clearly showed the die hard fans in attendance that Eddie is BACK and playing even better than he did during the band’s last tour in 2007-2008.
SLASH tweeted after the dress rehearsal: “Van Halen was killer tonight at the Forum. Eddie was brilliant. So amazing to hear/watch.”

The Van Halen camp have unleashed a 90-second teaser of "Beats Workin'", a NEW song from their highly anticipated 12th studio album entitled "A Different Kind Of Truth". Their first single and music video for their NEW song "Tattoo" caused a lot of commotion, after many felt that the song was a rip off of some of their previous material. Van Halen's NEW studio album will be available on Tuesday, February 7th.

Portland, Oregon Punk Metal miscreants TOXIC HOLOCAUST are pleased to announce an additional run of dates with New York street punks The Casualties. The tour will serve as an extension to an already bludgeoning stretch of shows alongside English Dogs, The Casualties and Havok, set to commence on February 10 in Baltimore.
TOXIC HOLOCAUST will be touring in support of the infinitely punishing 'Conjure And Command' full-length released via Relapse Records last year. The record, which Revolver championed for its “equal parts nuclear reactive riffage and Repo Man Punk attitude,” continues to earn critical accolades. Cvlt Nation noted: “TOXIC HOLOCAUST have given fans a record that they will be able to devour now and for fucking years to come,” and The Onion’s A.V. Club opined: “sweetly redolent of Thrash, d-beat, and raw sewage, the album simmers with tar-thick riffage, staggering breakdowns, and a corroded dose of self-loathing,.” The Washingcity Paper agreed saying: “…it’s refreshing to hear a Thrash band that is so single-minded about its whirlwind riffs and pastor-baiting lyrics,” while Hails & Horns praised: “If The Exploited and Nuclear Assault had a kid, TOXIC HOLOCAUST would take it’s lunch money and toss it in the dumpster.”

Seminal rock icons, Guns N’ Roses, are set to invade New York during fashion week with a series of intimate shows then continue with additional stops through the northeast, announced today. Six shows confirmed so far including the historic return to The Ritz (now Webster Hall), 24 years after the filming of their heralded “Live At The Ritz” – the MTV concert continues to be one of the most sought after trades in bootleg circles. For the Webster Hall date, GN’R will celebrate their return by reclaiming the venue as The Ritz with signage and the name appearing on the marquee. The New York takeover in February marks the first time the band will appear at Roseland and Terminal 5, beginning on February 10, 2012. Full list of dates below.
Ticket presale on Tuesday, January 31 at 10:00am ET for the NY run, public on-sale is Wednesday, February 1. Chicago, Silver Spring and Atlantic City presale is Wednesday, February 1 at 10:00am EST, with public on-sale Friday, February 3. In other Guns N' Roses news, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced that Guns N' Roses will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the 27th annual Induction Ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 14, 2012 in Cleveland and premiere on HBO in early May. The 2012 ceremony will again be open to the public, as it was – for the first time in the event’s history – at the 2009 Inductions in Cleveland. The big question is whither the original members of the band will be present at the ceremony.

WARBRINGER released their latest effort, 'Worlds Torn Asunder', in September of last year to rave reviews, peaking at #3 on the Metal charts and debuting at #11 on Billboard's 'Heatseekers'. Prong will be touring throughout 2012 supporting their forthcoming release 'Carved Into Stone' which will be released in April on Long Branch Records. The initial dates have been confirmed, and they include one headlining date and two shows supporting Bay Area Thrashers Testament on two dates in February, followed by a string of headlining gigs in March.
The band is currently putting the final touches on their Long Branch Records debut with producer Steve Evetts. Prong (whose lineup includes bassist Tony Campos and drummer Alexei Rodriguez) has taken a major step forward in their constantly evolving brand of sonic schematics.
'Carved Into Stone' is quintessentially Prong. It stretches into the band's earliest and dirtiest foundations on which the band was founded on New York's Lower East Side to the present as a staple of today's post-Metal and Rock scenes.
