CROWBAR & DOWN's Kirk Windstein Comments On The Passing Of "Obamacare"!

Today, the Supreme Court in a landmark ruling, upheld President Obama's health care overhaul, including the controversial requirement that most Americans have health insurance.

The court handed Obama a campaign-season victory in rejecting arguments that Congress went too far in requiring Americans to have health insurance or pay a penalty.

Chief Justice John Roberts announced the court's judgment that allows the law to go forward with its aim of covering more than 30 million uninsured Americans. Click here to read more about this breaking story!

Here is what Kirk Windstein (Crowbar, Down & Kingdom Of Sorrow) had to say about this:

"IF I CAN'T AFFORD HEALTH INSURANCE NOW, BECAUSE UNLIKE HALF OF THE COUNTRY, I ACTUALLY PAY TAXES, HOW IN THE HELL WILL I BE ABLE TO AFFORD IT THEN? WHERE'S MY GOVERNMENT HANDOUT? THIS COUNTRY IS FUCKED!!!"

As previously reported, NOLA's supergroup DOWN is scheduled to release four EP's dubbed as 'Down IV' throughout the next four years. During a recent interview the bands riff meister Kirk Windstein announced that the first EP, which contains six songs, should be out this summer!

“They’re kind of a throwback to what we were doing at the very beginning, on the NOLA record (Down’s 1995 platinum debut). I think the fans are going to love it. Windstein names "Misfortune Teller" as one of his favorite tunes from the upcoming EP.

Down's NEW EP will feature the following songs in no particular order:

- 'Levitation'
- 'Witchtripper'
- 'The Misfortune Teller'
- 'The Curse Is A Lie'
- 'Open Coffins'
- 'This Work Is Timeless'
