If you analyze the name VOLBEAT, you get VOLUME and BEAT. Two elements that the Kings Of Danish Rock N' Roll deliver every single time they step on stage. Last night was no exception.
Yesterday, April 9, VOLBEAT unleashed their highly anticipated fifth studio album entitled 'Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies'! The bands NEW sonic assault was produced by former ANTHRAX guitarist Rob Caggiano, who is now VOLBEAT's lead guitarist!
In celebration of the release of their NEW album, VOLBEAT made the Best Buy Theater in New York City shake all night long! The energy of the crowd was reflected during the bands entire set: there was not one person who didn't have a fantastic time. Not only did the band deliver the rocking goods to over 2000 fans, but it was also the first time that Rob Caggiano, the bands newest family member, performed with VOLBEAT.
The former ANTHRAX guitarist felt the hometown love and couldn't stay still during the entire set thanks to the energy all who attended made him feel. There is no doubt that Caggiano is a lot happier now and this comes across on his guitar playing. He sounded better than ever!
Not only did the band perform many of their classic songs, but they also performed a bunch of NEW songs from 'Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies'. They also paid tribute to Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Slayer and Metallica, among others.
Here is VOLBEAT's set list for the CD release show for 'Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies' in New York City:
