Following their participation at the 2013 Metal Alliance Tour and at the fifth edition of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, ANTHRAX have announced that this Summer they will be playing in Santiago, Chile with TESTAMENT. The band posted the following message on their official Facebook page:

"ATTENTION SANTIAGO, ANTHRAX is playing Teatro Caupolican on Friday MAY 10th and will be shooting a live DVD!
"Be sure to be there and hear all of your favorite ANTHRAX songs in a

"Special guest for the show is TESTAMENT.

CARCASS's next sonic assault 'Surgical Steel' has already been recorded and is currently being mixed by Andy Sneap, not Colin Richardson (who quit the project). This will be the bands first studio album in 17 years. This highly anticipated release will see the light of day later this year via an as-yet-undetermined record label. Joining guitarist Bill Steer and bassist/vocalist Jeff Walker at the gig were new drummer Dan Wilding (ABORTED, TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED) and guitarist Ben Ash (PIG IRON, DESOLATION, LIQUEFIED SKELETON). DOWN is coming to South America! This time around the all star band, which features Philip Anselmo, Kirk Windstein, Pepper Keenan, Jimmy Bower and Pat Bruders, will be performing in Sao Paolo, Brazil, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile. As previously announced, TOOL are working on some NEW music. Up until know, in typical TOOL fashion the band have been very mysterious
about the status of their fifth studio album and have only been
communicating with the outside world via their webmaster. Well, this has finally changed. The bands leader Maynard James Keenan has released the following "update" regarding the bands next batch of music:
When asked by Chilean radio station Futuro about the album arriving in the near future, he directly replied: “No NEW disc, not this year.” When pressed further replied: “I have not written any songs. So no, there is nothing.”
