Brooklyn, NY's ASHES WITHIN lost all of their to Hurricane Sandy. While the band could have thrown the towel, they decided to continue crushing senses. This Saturday, November 24th, they will be performing at the Knitting Factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, alongside with CAR BOMB and KASE REESE. If you like true underground Metal, you will be there!
What sets ASHES WITHIN apart? ASHES WITHIN plays brutal, honest music. They do not try to emulate a
style, or fit into any particular arcane sub-genre of the Metal scene. Their songs are crafted for maximum visceral impact, whether it be simple
or complex, harmonious or discordant. Their music is a collectively
distilled response to both personal and global events. Things aren’t
pretty out there, and they’re degenerating daily.
They feel like that the music they write is perhaps the only rational response
to the things going on around. The world is gut-wrenchingly harsh
and ugly much of the time; this ugliness has left many dead inside, hence
the name ASHES WITHIN - so be it—their music stands as a rejoinder to that
ugliness. Renowned in the fertile Brooklyn underground as one of the
most violently cathartic acts in the scene, ASHES WITHIN are both feared
and loved for their devastating stage performances.
A Pale Horse Named Death are kicking of 2012 with a special hometown show in Brooklyn, NY at The Knitting Factory. The show which will take place tomorrow (Friday, January 6th), will also be streaming in full courtesy of APHND, The Knitting Factory and LiveStream.com. In other APHND news, the band has parted ways with guitarist Bobby Hambel, and has announced a replacement. Frontman Sal Abruscato commented about the lineup change.
"Due to conflicting schedules with Biohazard, Bobby Hambel is unable to tour any further with A Pale Horse Named Death. We wish Bobby and Biohazard all the great success they deserve on their upcoming release in January 2012. Eddie Heedles has been chosen as the new replacement for Bobby. Eddie is a shredding guitarist who has worked with the likes of Corey Glover (Living Colour), T.M. Stevens, Vernon Reid (Living Colour), Sekond Skyn and The White Chocolate Experience."
APHND is the brainchild of Brooklyn, NY native Sal Abruscato, and sounds like Alice in Chains mysteriously sneaking up behind Type O Negative with a butcher knife while being filmed for a future episode of "Law & Order".
"And Hell Will Follow Me" is available in three different formats: Digipak CD, 2 LP Set and digital download. The 2 LP Set comes on 180 gram vinyl and also includes a copy of the CD. In addition the 2 LP set features an LP exclusive bonus track: "Pickup Truck". Order the album HERE.

Fans in New York City can hear the brand new Charred Walls of the Damned album entitled "Cold Winds on Timeless Days" in its entirety this Tuesday, October 11th at the Knitting Factory where The Black Dahilia Murder will be headlining with support coming from All Shall Perish and Cannabis Corpse. Not only will Richard Christy and TBDM will be hanging out and doing signings at the venue from 5-7pm, but there will also be giveaways (vinyl, t-shirts and cds) courtesy of Metal Blade Records Metal Wreckage.
New albums from TBDM and CWOTD will be available for purchase at the Knitting Factory or bring your copies and get them signed!
