Bloodstock Open Air (B-O-A) is the UK’s biggest independent METAL festival. Held at the picturesque location of Walton on Trent in Derbyshire, B-O-A has won the hearts and minds of fans of heavy ROCK AND METAL by consistently showcasing the strongest Metal line up on UK soil.
Right now there are over 12,000 Metal heads over at Derbyshire for what will be 4 days of unadulterated full on Heavy Metal!!!
BLOODSTOCK boasts over 100 international Rock and Metal acts across four stages, as well as other attractions including a huge international metal market, the infamous late night metal Karaoke, fairground rides, ‘The Bloodstock Arms’ festival bar serving real ale, full weekend camping and one of the best atmospheres the festival scene has to offer.
This past weekend, the 2012 edition of Germany's elite Heavy Metal festival Wacken Open Air took place in Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein.
What was Wacken like in this year? Wacken 2012 was a bit of sun, a lot of rain, mud,... even more mud, outstanding bands, brilliant fans and an amazing good mood!

This year, the organizers of the event lined up yet another historical event. For three days, 80,000+ maniacs indulge themselves into the Metallic sounds of bands like Machine Head, Amon Amarth, Cradle Of Filth, Dark Funeral, Dimmu Borgir, Napalm Death, Six Feet Under, Sick Of It All, and many more.
In case you have been living under a rock, Wacken Open Air takes place every year at the small town of Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany, and is easily one of the most crushing summer music festivals in the entire world. Ever since its inception in 1990, the festival has opened the doors to hundreds of high profile Heavy Music artists such as Slayer, Motörhead, Dio, Doro, Cradle Of Filth, Fear Factory, Dimmu Borgir, Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth, Dark Funeral, Opeth, Machine Head, Morbid Angel, Type O Negative, Immortal, At The Gates, Killswitch Engage, Testament, GWAR and Overkill, just to mention a few.

METALLICA's first-ever outdoor festival "Orion Music + More" kicked off last night (Saturday, June 23) at Bader Feld in Atlantic City, New Jersey. METALLICA is headlining both nights of the fest and playing 'Ride The Lightning' in its entirety last night and will perform in its entirety 'The Black Album' later tonight (watch it below). This will be the only time the band will perform these albums in North America in 2012.

Metallica's first-ever music festival starts today (June 23rd) and will be concluded tomorrow (June 24th). The historically event will take place in Bader Field, Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Headlining both nights, Metallica will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 'Black Album' by playing it in its entirety on one night AND all of 'Ride the Lightning' for the first time ever on the other night! This will be the only North American performances of these albums in 2012.

In other APHND news, the band has parted ways with guitarist Bobby Hambel, and has announced a replacement. Frontman Sal Abruscato commented about the lineup change.
"Due to conflicting schedules with Biohazard, Bobby Hambel is unable to tour any further with A Pale Horse Named Death. We wish Bobby and Biohazard all the great success they deserve on their upcoming release in January 2012. Eddie Heedles has been chosen as the new replacement for Bobby. Eddie is a shredding guitarist who has worked with the likes of Corey Glover (Living Colour), T.M. Stevens, Vernon Reid (Living Colour), Sekond Skyn and The White Chocolate Experience."
APHND is the brainchild of Brooklyn, NY native Sal Abruscato, and sounds like Alice in Chains mysteriously sneaking up behind Type O Negative with a butcher knife while being filmed for a future episode of "Law & Order".
"And Hell Will Follow Me" is available in three different formats: Digipak CD, 2 LP Set and digital download. The 2 LP Set comes on 180 gram vinyl and also includes a copy of the CD. In addition the 2 LP set features an LP exclusive bonus track: "Pickup Truck". Order the album HERE.
