CHILDREN OF BODOM's 'Halo Of Blood', the bands eighth studio album, will be released on June 11th in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. Artwork was created by artist Sam Saramäki, known for his classic COB album covers for 'Follow the Reaper' (2001), 'Hate Crew Deathroll' (2003), and 'Are You Dead Yet?' (2005).

To support 'Halo Of Blood', CHILDREN OF BODOM will be one of the featured acts on the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.  COB will perform alongside Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Mastodon, Amon Amarth and others across the United States.  Launching on June 29th in San Bernardino, California, the 5-week trek will run through August 4th in Dallas, Texas.

FEAR FACTORY's eighth studio album 'The Industrialist' is out in Europe today (June 1st) and due in North America this Tuesday, June 5 via Candlelight Records. Once again the industrial Metallers have come up with a conceptual record based around a story written by vocalist Burton C. Bell. Lyrics to the album's ten songs divulge the narrative as discussed recently by Bell on the interview below. The album's artwork was created by American designer Anthony Clarkson with additional direction from the band. The album will be available on three formats — standard CD, a limited edition deluxe digi-book (featuring two additional songs), and 180-gram double vinyl.

'The Industrialist' follows the 2010 release of 'Mechanize'. Widely regarded, the album was the first release from FEAR FACTORY in six years. 'Mechanize' debuted on Billboard’s Top 100 album chart week of release and topped CMJ’s Loud Rock radio chart as programmers embraced the band’s triumphant return. Sirus XM and Headbangers Ball’s host Jose Mangin noted, “after Mechanize dominated 2010 as Liquid Metal’s Album Of The Year, North America is chompin’ at the bit to get an ear full of new FEAR FACTORY. I have no doubt that FEAR FACTORY are going to kick our collective asses in 2012.”

DEVIN TOWNSEND Releases Trailer For "By A Thread - Live in London 2011" DVD Box-set; Announces Screening In London!

Renowned multi-instrumentalist Devin Townsend will be releasing his DVD box-set, 'By A Thread - Live in London 2011', on June 18th in Europe and June 19th in North America through HevyDevy Records/InsideOut Music. A screening of the DVD will take place on June 5th in London at the Prince Charles Cinema. Tickets are available for this event here, and a trailer for the screening can be viewed here.

By A Thread - Live in London 2011 contains a 4-DVD set with footage from the unique, sold-out UK shows from last fall where Devin performed all four DTP albums (Ki, Addicted, Ghost, Deconstruction), along with a 5-CD set with the four DTP albums and one disc of encores. All of the box-sets are autographed and numbered with a collector's certificate of authenticity.

FEAR FACTORY Unleash Special Trailer For 'The Industrialist; "Recharger" Confirmed As Lead Single!

FEAR FACTORY has released a special trailer that is a visual preview into the story behind their forthcoming NEW album, 'The Industrialist'. Set for release June 5, 'The Industrialist' is the second album written by vocalist Burton C. Bell and guitarist Dino Cazares since reuniting in 2009 after a seven-year split. An audio snippet for the album’s lead single, “Recharger,” is now available below; the single is available via iTunes, Amazon and other online retailers beginning April 24.

As previously announced, 'The Industrialist' is a conceptual record based around a short fiction written by Bell; lyrics to the album’s ten songs divulge the narrative as discussed recently by Bell with Decibel Magazine. The album will be available on three formats – standard CD, a limited edition deluxe digi-book (featuring two additional songs), and 180-gram double vinyl. Pre-orders for the album in all formats will be available shortly via Candlelight Records’ official web store.



Bell notes, “the protagonist (The Industrialist) is the incarnation of all industries in the form of an automaton. The mechanical, technological, and scientific advances through the industrial age led to the creation of The Industrialist. In the story, the automaton becomes sentient as it collects memories with each passing day. Through observation and learning, it gains the will to exist. What was meant to help man, will eventually be man’s demise.”

'The Industrialist' follows the 2010 release of 'Mechanize'. Widely regarded, the album was the first release from FEAR FACTORY in six years. Mechanize debuted on Billboard’s Top 100 album chart week of release and topped CMJ’s Loud Rock radio chart as programmers embraced the band’s triumphant return. Sirius XM and Headbangers Ball’s host Jose Mangin noted, “after Mechanize dominated 2010 as Liquid Metal’s Album Of The Year, North America is chompin’ at the bit to get an ear full of new Fear Factory. I have no doubt that FEAR FACTORY are going to kick our collective asses in 2012.”



Members of FEAR FACTORY are currently in Los Angeles rehearsing for upcoming performances in South America followed by their first U.S. tour since late 2010. Bell and Cazares presented members of Slipknot the “Comeback Of The Year” award last week at the 4th Annual Revolver Golden God Awards; an award they were nominated for in 2010. Xbox broadcast the program, including pre-ceremony black carpet interviews, to all game console owners; Revolver Magazine streamed the event live via their Facebook page. Mixed by Greg Reely (Paradise Lost/Skinny Puppy/Machine Head), with additional tracking by Logan Mader (Gojira/Divine Heresy), the album is the second written by Bell and guitarist Dino Cazares since reuniting in 2009 after a seven year split. Cazares says, “collaborating with Burton again on the NEW album was like magic. Everything just fell into place naturally. It felt good to recapture the true sound of FEAR FACTORY, taking it back to where it all started while raising it to NEW levels.” Regarding Fulber Cazares notes, “Rhys has been our secret member,” shares Cazares. “He is the one producer who has been able to understand what we have been trying to accomplish from the beginning and has opened our eyes to new things without sacrificing our original sound. His production and keyboard talents has made FEAR FACTORY stand out amongst the many bands of our genre.”

The Van Halen camp have unleashed a 90-second teaser of "Beats Workin'", a NEW song from their highly anticipated 12th studio album entitled "A Different Kind Of Truth". Their first single and music video for their NEW song "Tattoo" caused a lot of commotion, after many felt that the song was a rip off of some of their previous material.
