BEYOND DISHONOR Premiere Music Video For "Heisenberg"!

New Jersey Metal maniacs BEYOND DISHONOR have premiered a music video for their first single, entitled "Heisenberg", via their official YouTube channel. You should definitely watch this video below. Any fan of the hit television drama ‘Breaking Bad’ will immediately recognize that "Heisenberg" is a tribute to the popular show— complete with yellow meth lab suits, greasy cigar-smoking drug kingpins, shady factory laboratories galore and more.
"Heisenberg" is part of the band’s upcoming EP entitled 'Generations', set to be released in June 2013.

“It's an obvious homage to one of our favorite pieces of entertainment, but it is wrapped around a stronger metaphor - just as Walt perfects the formula against his better judgement, so too are we forced to find and perfect the formula for notice and respect in this tumultuous industry and genre,” states lead vocalist Reese Dunlap. “That theme is referenced throughout the song, and goes one step further in the video, where we are, in a sense, a victim of this formulaic control. It is only when we have 'perfected the formula' that we can finally escape mediocrity.”

Here is the music video for "Heisenberg":

Coming up, BEYOND DISHONOR will head out on a 13-date east coast trek beginning April 12th. Several dates include performances with internationally-recognized artists such as Miss May I, Whitechapel, Texas in July and more, plus a stop at the annual Launch Music Conference in Lancaster, PA. Opened 15 years ago in a vacant jewelry store and haberdashery on the Lower East Side, the 550-capacity club is a must-play for bands on the way to stardom. David T. Viecelli, agent for Arcade Fire, says it's "another dressing room or two shy of perfection." It's both intimate and grand, with consistently great sound and sightlines, and touches of old-school class, like 84-year-old brass rails.

Congrats to our friends from the Bowery Ballroom! They totally deserve such a great accomplishment!

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE Splits Up, Thankfully!

This might be some really bad news for some of you: MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE have decided to part ways. In our humble opinion, now much more talented bands will have a chance at shining since MCR counts with legions of fans worldwide that will be forced to find other bands to support. But hey, we do respect MCR because even though their music wasn't great, they did work very hard on their craft. With that said, we wish them the best of luck!

Anyhow, the New Jersey-based Alternative Rock band announced Saturday that "it has come time for it to end." The quartet thanked fans in a statement and said the experience was "a true blessing."
The group said they've "shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends."

But why exactly did the band break up? The exact reason has not surfaced, but here is an excerpt from the extensive essay written by the bands singer Gerard Way:

"We were spectacular.

"Every show I knew this, every show I felt it with or without external confirmation.

"There were some clunkers, sometimes our secondhand gear broke, sometimes I had no voice- we were still great. It is this belief that made us who we were, but also many other things, all of them vital-
And all of the things that made us great were the very things that were going to end us-

"Fiction. Friction. Creation. Destruction. Opposition. Aggression. Ambition. Heart. Hate. Courage. Spite. Beauty. Desperation. LOVE. Fear. Glamour. Weakness. Hope.

"Fatalism.

"That last one is very important. My Chemical Romance had, built within its core, a fail-safe. A doomsday device, should certain events occur or cease occurring, would detonate. I shared knowledge of this “flaw” within weeks of its inception.
Personally, I embraced it because, again, it made us perfect. A perfect machine, beautiful, yet self aware of it’s system. Under directive to terminate before it becomes compromised. To protect the idea- at all costs. This probably sounds like something ripped from the pages of a four-color comic book, and that’s the point.
No compromise. No surrender. No fucking shit.

"To me that’s rock and roll. And I believe in rock and roll."

Read his entire essay HERE!

Group members included:

- Vocalist Gerard Way
- Bassist Mikey Way
- Guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero.

Their last album was 2010's 'Danger Days: The True Lives of the
Fabulous Killjoys'.

JULIUS SEIZURE: Exclusive Premiere Of Music Video For "TMSNEV"

After Months of anticipation, Julius Seizure have released their brand NEW single and Music video for "TMSNEV."

The single, originally recorded for the band's debut E.P. 'Beware The Ides Of March' was re-recorded with new vocalist and former Will Killmore drummer/bandmate Charlie Corletta.

"When I was told that I was going to re-record "TMSNEV," I was excited and eager to put my flair on a track that I felt to be the strongest on the band's E.P. I tried to remain true to (former vocalist) Yosef El's vision and delivery while still allowing my voice to be heard. Last thing I wanted was to be a hired gun. I had to establish myself as part of the band's signature sound and I am proud of the end result," said Corletta.

The following video was directed and edited by Jonathan Robertson at P1 Digital Media (Las Vegas)!

"TMSNEV" was produced & engineered by the band's guitarist Steve Toth, and mixed/mastered by Kevin Antreassian at Backroom Studios, Rockaway, NJ.

Julius Seizure are currently in the studio  working on their follow up E.P. as well as booking shows across the tri-state area.

OVERKILL Releases Statement Regarding The Health Status Of Bobby "Blitz' Ellsworth

As previously reported, "The Dark Roots Of Thrash Tour" was dented last night in Huntington, New York. Unfortunately, OVERKILL were forced to cancel their appearance last night at The Paramount Theater in Huntington, Long Island, NY because their singer Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth was rushed to the hospital after falling ill with walking pneumonia. The bands has just released the following update:

"We are terribly sorry that we had to cancel our performance last night, but let's put the rumors to rest, before speculation runs rampant.

"Blitz was diagnosed with what is called "walking pneumonia", and was medically advised to not perform due to it potentially getting worse if he did. When the health risk is no longer an issue, he'll be ready to kick ass once again."

So it is safe to assume that OVERKILL will not be performing on "The Dark Roots Of Thrash Tour" until further notice.

OVERKILL bassist DD Vernie commented: "We live just on the other side of the bridge, we will make up the show".

The epic tour, which features TESTAMENT, OVERKILL, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, and 4ARM, marks the first time that TESTAMENT and OVERKILL share the stage in over 25 years.

We wish Bobby a speedy recovery! Please keep flexing your muscles like on the picture above for many years to come!

TESTAMENT, OVERKILL, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, 4ARM (remaining tour dates):

2/17: Town Ballroom – Buffalo, NY
2/18: Phoenix Concert Theatre – Toronto, ON

OVERKILL: Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth Forced To Miss Huntington, NY Show Allegedly Due To Pneumonia!

Last night, "The Dark Roots Of Thrash Tour" arrived to Huntington, New York. The epic tour, which features TESTAMENT, OVERKILL, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, and 4ARM, marks the first time that TESTAMENT and OVERKILL share the stage in over 25 years. Unfortunately, OVERKILL were forced to cancel their appearance last night at The Paramount Theater in Huntington, Long Island, NY because their singer Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth was allegedly rushed to the hospital after falling ill with pneumonia. OVERKILL bassist DD Vernie commented: "We live just on the other side of the bridge, we will make up the show".

What is very surprising to us is that we interviewed Bobby 24 hours before the tour arrived in Long Island, and he seemed to be completely healthy. As a matter of fact, he seemed to be in very high spirits and was on fire while on stage at the Best Buy Theater in New York City. Can someone fall ill with pneumonia in less than 24 hours? We think not.

Whatever the situation is, we will keep you posted as more information becomes available. We wish Bobby a speedy recovery, regardless!

TESTAMENT, OVERKILL, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, 4ARM (remaining tour dates):

On October 29th, 2012 the east coast experienced one of the largest Atlantic hurricanes on record that affected millions and destroyed thousands of homes, businesses and communities in its path. Hurricane Sandy made landfall in Atlantic City, New Jersey and ripped its way through New York City and other coastal communities. Doors open at 6 PM and tickets are available for $15 dollars in advance or $18 at the door. More information can be found HERE.

Vocalist Byron Davis comments, “We would like to wish everyone a belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. With that being said we should take this time and reflect on how tragedy can turn ones world upside down; we need to be grateful for the ones we have in our lives and remember those who have lost everything.”

He continues, “This benefit show gives us the opportunity to let our fellow New Jerseyians know that we have not forgotten them and will honor their struggles with pride. For one night, we will all come together for remembrance and fun to raise contributions that will help re-build communities and people’s spirits that were affected around the Jersey Shore. We are looking forward to seeing New Jersey stand together united. See you there!”

SEVENDUST Breaks The Silence & Announce Their NEW Album Title!

As previously reported, Atlanta, Georgia's SEVENDUST has completed production of their ninth studio album. The CD was recorded at Architekt Music studios in Butler, New Jersey with engineer Mike Ferretti. Today, the band has announced that their NEW studio album is called "Black Out The Sun" and they plan to release it in April of 2013. The CD was recorded at Architekt Music studios in Butler, New Jersey with engineer Mike Ferretti. Here is what guitarist Clint Lowery told "Source Of The Sound With Wendy Campbell" about the bands NEW album:

"It's a basic SEVENDUST record. There's nothing, like, too completely different than anything we've done before. It's got a darker vibe to it. We've got a good amount of the programming element in there. It's a lot of what we do — it's heavy and it's got its melodic element in it. So if you're a SEVENDUST fan, it's more along the lines of the second and third records we did — it's kind of like that. It's got a couple of throwback vibes to it. 'Animosity' [2002] and 'Home' [1999], if I can put those two records together, it would [sound similar to the new CD]."

Lowery has also announced that SEVENDUST might be joining forces with LACUNA COIL and COAL CHAMBER in 2013!

SEVENDUST 2012 is:

- Lajon Witherspoon
- John Connolly
- Clint Lowery
- Vince Hornsby
- Morgan Rose
