As previously announced, HATEBREED have completed work on their NEW studio album which will be released in January 23, 2013 on Razor & Tie in North America/Canada and on January 25, 2013 Nuclear Blast in Europe and various additional international territories. Entitled 'The Divinity Of Purpose', this will be the band’s 6th official album to date, and the follow up to HATEBREED’s self-titled album and also their covers album, 'For The Lions' (both released in 2009).
The CD was co-produced by HATEBREED, Chris "Zeuss" Harris (SUICIDE SILENCE, ALL THAT REMAINS, SHADOWS FALL) and Josh Wilbur (LAMB OF GOD, AVENGED SEVENFOLD), with Wilbur also handling mixing duties. The cover artwork was created and illustrated by Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, ATHEIST, SIGH, ANACRUSIS, GWAR) and can be seen below.
Regarding the musical direction, Jamey Jasta told "Maximum Threshold":
"We did enough experimenting, I think, on the last record… A lot of people really liked that record and it did gain us a lot of NEW fans, but on this record, with the 10-year anniversary of [HATEBREED's 2002 album] 'Perseverance' and with Wayne [Lozinak, guitar] being back in the band — this will be his second record with us — it's just fun to kind of keep with the old-school influences. I hear more CRO-MAGS and KILLING TIME and SHEER TERROR and OBITUARY and BOLT THROWER and SLAYER and ENTOMBED and those kind of '80s and '90s influences in there. Which is fun for us, because we emulate the bands that we love. We try to make it our own sound and make it our own style, but at the end of the day, we're just fans of those styles of bands."
'The Divinity Of Purpose' will be supported by extensive global touring that will stretch well into 2014.
HATEBREED is currently on tour with Lamb of God, In Flames and Sylosis. In January 2013, HATEBREED will also headline the EMP presents Persistence Tour 2013 in Europe (all tour dates below).

Read on for a few reviews of the already critically acclaimed 'Silencing Machine':
"While not as outwardly experimental as 'Assassins' and 'Addicts' genre cross-breeding, 'Silencing Machine' still pushes [NACHTMYSTIUM's] sound forward, bringing the psychedelic and post-punk influences into an organic synthesis with their anthems to the welkin at midnight." -- DECIBEL MAGAZINE
"After releasing two albums--2008's 'Assassins: Black Meddle Part 1' and 2010's 'Addicts: Black Meddle Part 2'--that strayed significantly from the band's black metal roots, Chicago's NACHTMYSTIUM have returned to the wintry void with their latest, 'Silencing Machine.'" -- REVOLVER MAGAZINE
"NACHTMYSTIUM has always been the torchbearer when it comes to pushing black metal's boundaries to unthinkable, un-forest locales and while 2008's 'Assassins: Black Meddle Part I' and 2010's 'Addicts: Black Meddle Part II' were impressive bouts of exploratory surgeries, it is 'Silencing Machine' that is the true follow-up to NACHTMYSTIUM catalogue highlight 'Instinct: Decay'..." -- BRAVE WORDS
"The tracks are brutal, melodic, and powerful, merging all the best elements of NACHTMYSTIUM into one potent mix." -- HAILS AND HORNS
To give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of 'Silencing Machine', NACHTMYSTIUM has now launched the fourth of five in-studio videos featuring exclusive footage and interviews with the band. Filmed and edited by Justin Baron, who recently did the YAKUZA documentary, part 4 spotlights synths/electronics specialist and producer Sanford Parker, and it can be viewed here:

Additional DARK FUNERAL headlining dates featuring GRAVE as direct support will be announced shortly.
Over the past few years, NACHTMYSTIUM has been widely heralded for their unique brand of psychedelic, Pink Floydian Black Metal, earning them "album of the year" accolades and praise for 'Black Meddle Pt.1: Assassins' (2008) and 'Black Meddle Pt. 2: Addicts' (2010) from critics and fans alike. But as a band that's always on the move, the Chicago outfit is ready to bring their 6th full length album, 'Silencing Machine', back to the more traditional Black Metal sound found on their break-through album, 'Instinct: Decay' (2006). Recorded at Engine Studios with the band's own synths/electronics specialist Sanford Parker (YOB, PELICAN) handling Producer duties, 'Silencing Machine' is, as front-man/lead guitarist Blake Judd puts it, "A fuckin' Black Metal record".
Set to be released on July 30th in Europe and July 31st in North America via Century Media Records, 'Silencing Machine' promises to be the next celebrated chapter in NACHTMYSTIUM's storied career. The clip was filmed with director Casey Patrick Tebo, who also is producing a NEW concert film titled 'Aerosmith: Rock For The Rising Sun'. According to Tebo's official web site, the movie, which will focus on AEROSMITH's relationship with the group's Japanese fans, will be released later this year or in 2013.
"Legendary Child" last week landed on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart at No. 32 and the Hard Rock Digital Songs chart at No. 2. Today, Soulfly revealed the album artwork for 'Enslaved', a brand NEW Soulfly album, which will be their eighth overall. While many bands barely make it to a third album, the Max Cavalera-led collective is still going strong two decades deep. 2012 also marks the band's 15th anniversary of making a tribally-influenced Metallic racket and what better way to celebrate than with a NEW record? The album will be released via longtime label Roadrunner Records, which has been Soulfly's home for the course of its career. The label has also been Cavalera's home for the duration of his career, which began in the '80s as a member of Sepultura, who essentially rewrote the rules of Heavy Music when they arrived on the scene; Max continues to do the same today.
The song remains insane for Soulfly, as does the lineup. The powerhouse lineup features Max and guitar dynamo Marc Rizzo (who will be performing this weekend in Brooklyn, NY with his solo band at the 'Holiday Tribute Show for Dimebag Darrell', details below), with Static-X's Tony Campos taking up the bass. The lineup is rounded out by drummer David Kinkade, a new school, extreme skinsman whose brutality behind the kit brings a new flavor to the band.
'Enslaved', which is set to be released on March 13, 2012, was recorded at Tallcat Studios in Phoenix, Arizona and was produced by Zeuss, the seasoned knob twiddler behind some of the most notable bands in Metal today, such as Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, The Red Chord and more. Cavalera also shared production duties.
As is customary with Soulfly, the band will introduce some new and unexpected elements into the mix, including a guest violinist. Soulfly also collaborates with two Metal veterans: Dez Fafara of Devildriver and Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation. With Dez and Max sharing a longtime connection through the Roadrunner family, it was only a matter of time before Fafara guested on a Soulfly album. Meanwhile, Ryan said it was "an honor to receive a call from someone you had pictures of on your wall as a kid."
Cavalera also wrote a song "Revengeance" about his slain stepson Dana, whose death was the catalyst for the creation of Soulfly. He partners with his sons Igor and Richie on vocals, while his other son Zyon plays drums. It is the first time Max has performed with three of his sons.
The band tracked 14 songs, 11 of which will be on the record, with the other three being made available for the special edition.
Track titles are as follows:
-Resistance
- World Scum
- Intervention
- Gladiator
- Legions
- American Steel
- Redemption of Man By God
- Treachery
- Plata O Plomo
- Revengeance
- Chains
- Slave
- Bastards
- Soulfly VIII
Please note this is not the final track sequencing.
The album is due out in March 13, 2012. It follows 2010's "Omen".
