Mötley Crüe: Tommy Lee Better Watch Out, An 8 Year Old Kid Wants His Job - Video Available!

Jonah, the kid playing the drums below, is an 8 year old self-taught drummer. He's never had a lesson, and plays songs as he hears them, and how he thinks they should sound. He doesn't "play it like the record", he plays his way. He doesn't have to learn how to play a song; he just has to hear it. Jonah spends between 1 - 2 hours per week playing drums.

Jonah recently recorded a cover of Mötley Crüe's "Looks That Kill" and he killed it! Tommy Lee: eat your heart out, this kid might replace you soon. Hahahaha!

NOTE: Only Drums you hear are Jonah's not his buddy Tommy's. Jonah uses http://jammit.com/ for this song.

Mötley Crüe Singer Rushed To The Hospital During The Weekend - Details Available!

Over the weekend, Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery after cutting short a concert in Australia due to internal pain.

Doctors discovered the Neil was suffering from kidney stones and had to have surgery to remove them. Both Neil and Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx posted messages online to update fans about what happened.

Nikki Sixx told fans via Twitter: "Sorry for a short set but Vince had to be rushed to the hospital for internal pain. Will update you on his progress."

Yesterday, Neil told fans via Facebook: "Just out of surgery. Spent night in hospital probably have to again tonight. Thank you all for the kind words and prayers. Doc says I should have a full recovery and be back onstage for the Brisbane show tomorrow. Thanks to my bandmates and crew for your support!"

Sixx also posted a follow up message on Facebook on Sunday about the ordeal. He wrote, "Hey guys, I just woke here in Sydney. As many have heard we had to cut our set short by 4 songs last night due to Vince be in severe pain on stage .. He was doubled over on his dressing room floor 5 minutes till show time and was told by the promoter to not even play but Vince said he couldn't do that to the fans. I've seen Vinnie go onstage with broken bones, his voice completely blown out and torn ligaments but he never ever cancels … Just like an athlete you sometimes have to play through the pain but last night it became to excruciating.

"I was texting with Vince most of the night last night as he was just waiting for the doctor to come back with the test results. This morning we found out he had to be admitted into surgery to remove kidney stones. He Just got out 5 minutes ago and the doctors said everything went well in the operating room. I am going to the hospital to see him before I head to Brisbane. Will update you more later … Nikki."
We wish Vince a quick and smooth recovery!

Does MÖTLEY CRÜE's Tommy Lee Dislike His Fans?

Tommy Lee is currently on the road with his band MÖTLEY CRÜE in Australia. After claiming last year that he "hates taking pictures" (read more HERE), Lee has announced that he will also not be participating in the band's paid meet-and-greet sessions because he "doesn't agree with doing it under certain circumstances." To this he added:

"For those of you that are asking why I am not doing anymore meet-and-greets!! It's got nothing to do with me not wanting to meet the fans, I just don't agree with doing it under the certain given circumstances. I love you all and I'll gladly high-five y'all if I see you out 'n' about — and you won't have to pay me for that."

While one could argue that the fans should not have to pay to meet their heroes, Lee should suck it up and do the meet-and-greets so the fans are not disappointed by his absence. If anything, he can refuse to get his cut for what the band receives monetarily after each meet-and-greet session. But now since he is not showing up, the fans should get part of the money refunded!

The band is offering the following "VIP packages" while on tour in Australia:

- "Kickstart My Heart Meet And Greet Package" for $899
- "Wildside VIP Package" for $425
- "Crüe Teaser Package" for $295

Note: Only the "Kickstart My Heart" package includes an opportunity to meet and take a photo with the band.

ASKING ALEXANDRIA's NEW Album Mixes Sounds Of Old School SLIPKNOT & MÖTLEY CRÜE!

ASKING ALEXANDRIA have announced that they have completed the production of their third studio album. The bands NEW batch of music was produced by Joey Sturgis (THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, EMMURE) and it was recorded at the Foundation Recording Studios in Indiana and NRG in Hollywood. The bands as-yet-untitled album will see the light of day sometime within the next few months via Sumerian Records.

Here is what guitarist Ben Bruce told GuitarWorld.com about the direction of the bands NEW studio album: "There's a lot of heavy riffage on this record, whereas in the past we relied more on rhythms and breakdowns," he said. "So in that respect it's very much like old SLIPKNOT. But then the choruses and a lot of the bridges are more Rock-based, which is our MÖTLEY CRÜE side."

Bruce was quick to add, however: "The album is by no means a regurgitation of the Eighties. If kids buy this record thinking it's going to sound like [MÖTLEY CRÜE's 1987 effort] 'Girls, Girls, Girls', it doesn't fucking sound like 'Girls, Girls, Girls'. It sounds like ASKING ALEXANDRIA.

"It's a lot more mature than anything we've done before. It's not so much about partying and fucking random girls and doing drugs and stuff. We've actually taken the time to write something that's truly meaningful to us. The last two records were great, and we loved them, but we were different people then. We were a lot younger and had less experience. When you compare the albums, it will definitely show how much we've grown."

Oh yeahhhh! "The Late Night TV Page" has reported that legendary New York City based band KISS will appear on CBS's "Late Show With David Letterman" on October 10th. Check your local listings for details.

KISS's NEW album 'Monster' (set to be released in October through Universal Music Enterprises) is a "12-track, straight-ahead rock 'n' roll album". 'Monster' features collaborations among all four members — including co-founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons and longtime members guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer — in an album that shows the band at the top of its game. 05. Shout Mercy
06. Long Way Down

08. The Devil Is Me
09. Outta This World
10. All For The Love Of Rock & Roll
11. Take Me Down Below
12. Last Chance
13. Right Here Right Now

Here is the NEW single from Heavy Music legends KISS is part of the band's 20th studio album entitled 'Monster'. Entitled "Hell Or Hallelujah", guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley calls the track, "a battle cry that encapsulates the entire record... one way or another, we're going to do it our way".

'Monster' is the group's first studio album since the band's 2009 smash success, 'Sonic Boom', and was also produced by Paul Stanley with Greg Collins at Conway Studios in Hollywood, California, and The Nook in Studio City, California.

In other KISS news, according to Gene Simmons, the 35th anniversary edition ‘Destroyer’ reissue will be released very soon. He says that it will be “coming out shortly, this summer.”

36 years after the release of ‘Destroyer,’ it’s easy to understand why Simmons considers the album “a very pivotal record for us.” It marked an important point in “Kisstory,” with the band learning a new process of making music. Producer Bob Ezrin wanted to take the band back to their roots and have them really focus on the formatics of being a band, telling them “we’re going to learn how to tune our guitars and talk about song structure.”

As Simmons told Ultimate Classic Rock, it was a different path than the one they had taken on their first three studio albums. “When we first started out, you know, we basically dove into the deep end of the pool and [said] ‘let’s see if we can swim?’ And then once you stay in the water long enough, you want to start to get some style and do the breaststroke and the backstroke and all of that stuff, because you become a better swimmer. It’s not just enough to not sink. So the sink or swim thing became ‘hey, let’s be really good swimmers.’”

KISS: NEW Lyric Video For NEW Song "Hell Or Hallelujah" Streaming Now!

KISS nation, today you get to listen to a NEW song entitled "Hell Or Hallelujah" via a lyric video! The NEW single from Heavy Music legends KISS is part of the band's 20th studio album entitled 'Monster' (set to be released in October through Universal Music Enterprises). KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley calls the track, "a battle cry that encapsulates the entire record... one way or another, we're going to do it our way".

Described in a press release as a "12-track, straight-ahead rock 'n' roll album", 'Monster' features collaborations among all four members — including co-founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons and longtime members guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer — in an album that shows the band at the top of its game. And that's saying something, considering their illustrious, 40-plus year history — 28 U.S. gold albums, the most gold records for any American Rock band, 40 million sales in the U.S., and a total exceeding 100 million worldwide.

Mötley Crüe: Tommy Lee Loves You, But Don't Ask Him For A Picture!

"Dear fans,

"I fucking LOVE my fans! And you know this!!!... If you asked anyone that knows me really well, they would tell ya the same thing... 'Tommy loves his fans. He lives for this shit... he eats, breathes, shits music 24/7'. They'll also probably tell ya that 'he's a down-to-earth grateful life-lovin dude and a nice guy, too'.

"What I have a problem with is... taking pictures! I hate it! Irritates the fuck out of me when people say... 'You owe it to your fans, they put you where you are, etc. etc.'!

"I certainly don't owe anybody anything!

"When I bought all my LED ZEPPELIN records and concert tickets, I didn't say, 'One day these fuckers are gonna owe me a picture', It's the least they can do for me!...

"[What the fuck], people? You don't admire something so that it can give back... You just cherish it! And to those who say, 'You should be grateful that people wanna take your picture. Maybe one day they won't want it'! That day can't come soon enough!

"[By the way]… I'm not here to take pictures with you, I'm here to entertain you!

"Nobody put me where I am but ME! They may have helped inspire me with their love for what I do... but I put myself right here where I want to be with a lot of hard work, practice, talent, luck, etc. What I do owe myself and others is being THE BEST I can be! And that's making great music, being a good man, father, lover and human being! We all owe that kinda stuff to ourselves and each other.

"People, do we really need a silly picture?... For what?! Bragging rights? Really?... Who fucking cares! Someone's not gonna believe you if ya don't have the proof pic? Then fuck 'em! I'd never go up to someone that I admired and bug them for a picture!! Why! I might say a quick hello... maybe a handshake? I dunno... It depends on the 'situation'... Most people never consider the 'situation'. That's really important... Ya wouldn't wanna handshake standing at the pisser in the men's bathroom next to me, would ya? And yes, that's happened to me, too... Or when you're eating a nice, quiet meal with your family, some rude jackass comes up and asks for a picture!

"You can't even imagine what kinda crazy has happened to me. I understand the excitement and all, but just take a second and think... Is this cool right now? It's called consciousness; it's the quality or state of being aware of an external object or something within oneself. Be conscious.

"So like I said… the fastest way to get me to leave is whip out a camera! Maybe just say hello and I'll probably take ya home with me! Well, I'd have to ask my girlfriend first! Hah!

"Sincerely yours, The Picture Taker Hater! Tommy Lee"

Mastering Engineer George Marino Passes Away From Lung Cancer - Rock In Peace!

Do you still own CD's, Tapes or Vinyl? Well, if you look at some the liner notes of your favorite albums, it is very likely that you will find George Marino credited as Mastering Engineer. Marino, who mastered hundreds of albums in a career of nearly 40 years at New York’s Sterling Sound (one of the top post-production studios in the world), passed away today. Marino died following a year-long bout with lung cancer. Our condolences go out to Marino's family, friends and colleagues over at Sterling Sound.

“Today Sterling Sound and the music industry as a whole has suffered a tremendous loss,” Sterling Sound issued via statement. “Senior Mastering Engineer George Marino lost his battle with cancer this morning. Words cannot express the sorrow we feel. George was family to us all and we will miss him dearly.”

Here are some of the albums that Marino mastered:

- Metallica‘s ‘Black Album’
- Stevie Wonder’s ‘Innervisions’
- AC/DC‘s ‘Back In Black’
- Guns N’ Roses' ‘Appetite for Destruction’
- Bon Jovi’s ‘Slippery When Wet’
- Journey‘s ‘Frontiers’
- Mötley Crüe‘s ‘Dr. Feelgood’
- Kansas' ‘Point of Know Return’

Mastering, a form of audio post-production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master); the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). Recently, the format choice includes using digital masters although analog masters, such as audio tapes, are still being used by the manufacturing industry and by a few engineers who have chosen to specialize in analog mastering.

Marino joined Sterling Sound in 1973 after a few years at the Record Plant. He began his career in 1967 as a librarian and assistant at Capitol Studios before moving on to the mastering department. He won three Grammy awards, most recently in 2011 for Arcade Fire‘s ‘The Suburbs,’ which won Album of the Year. Rock In Peace Mr. Marino!

Mötley Crüe's Mick Mars & Playmate Jessa Hinton Appear On POP EVIL's NEW Music Video - Watch It Now!

POP EVIL has debuted a NEW music video for their latest hit single, "Boss's Daughter" exclusively on VEVO today. Featuring the likes of Playboy Playmate Jessa Hinton and co-writer Mick Mars of Mötley Crüe, the video leaves you wanting more. "This video is the best depiction of the energy we bring during our live performance. Mick & Jessa were terrific to work with! Nathan and his crew made a killer all American Rock N' Roll video," says frontman Leigh Kakaty.

Directed by Nathan "Karma" Cox, the video comes on the heels of the band announcing their participation in this summer's Tresspass Across America Tour (tour dates below).

Fast cars, hot women and good ol' American Rock N' Roll are three main ingredients that make up POP EVIL, and all of the above hits you square in the jaw in this NEW video. Watch the video right now!

The band released 'War Of Angels' last summer to much critical praise.

“Pop Evil's latest effort, War of Angels, sees the band beefing up their sound and displaying a good deal of growth and maturity that's a paramount example of why it's a shame the big labels don't give bands time to develop anymore” - Guitar World

"War Of Angels is a heavier and more mature departure from their debut album." - Billboard

The band will embark on the TRESSPASS ACROSS AMERICA TOUR supporting KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH & GOD FORBID.

Watch The Commercial Of Vince Neil's NEW Las Vegas Strip Club "Girls, Girls, Girls"!

A 30-second commercial for MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil's NEW strip club, "Girls, Girls, Girls", can be seen below. In a recent interview with Sally Steele of Vegas Rocks! magazine, Neil stated about why he decided to open his own strip club, "I've been going to strip clubs my whole adult life, I think. With the song 'Girls Girls Girls', we got inducted in 2007 into the Stripper Fall Of Fame. So it was just something that has been coming for a long time."

He added, "I love NEW businesses. It's just another cool thing, and I think it's great for Las Vegas. It's something different in a city that has everything... I literally live, like, five minutes from [the club]. So I'm gonna be here a lot when I'm in town and come here and hang out. It's a great place to hang."

Neil has set Friday, April 13, as the official grand opening of "Girls, Girls, Girls". The club will occupy the former Déjà Vu location opposite the Orleans off Tropicana Avenue a mile from the Las Vegas Strip.
