RESOLUTION 15: Audio Stream Available Of Their NEW Single "The Current"!
RESOLUTION 15 recently released a brand NEW full-length album entitled 'Svaha' (available now on Bandcamp: http://resolution15.bandcamp.com/). Below is the first single out of 'Svaha' entitled "The Current".
'Svaha' was produced by Stacy O'Dell at Spin Studios & Riverfront Studios, and by Ryan Kelly at Nova and Big Blue Meenie Studios. The record was mastered by Chris Muth at Taloowa Mastering.
After a successful Kickstarter campaign designed to raise funds for its recording, the band’s NEW album 'Svaha' has finally arrived. Recording took place at Spin Studios and Nova Studios with Ryan Kelly and Stacy O’Dell as producers.

“‘Svaha’
means “So be it” in Sanskrit. The title is of dual significance to us,”
states RESOLUTION15 electric violinist Earl Maneein. “The first is in
regards to the spirit of how we recorded the album. Yes, the album was
certainly edited, but it was more or less recorded in a “So be it”
fashion with usually the second or third, and sometimes even the first
complete take standing as the final cut. The second is in regards to our
stance as a socially conscious band. The ideas we bring up lyrically
deal with one's own inner turmoil and how that relates to worldly
experience and action. ‘Svaha’ is the last word in the Heart Sutra, and
it serves as a kind of “Amen”. So we would like the listener to feel
like this is our sincere commentary on the world as it is through our
eyes, and also encourage them to find their own awareness.”In 2007, RESOLUTION15 released a self-titled debut and quickly became a fixture in the New York Metal scene, performing at countless shows and drawing fans and local press in with their unique sound. The band’s last EP, 'Satyagraha', was released in April 2010 with Corey Unger (guitarist of the seminal New England metalcore band Blood Has Been Shed) as producer.

A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH Reveal NEW Album Title & Track Listing!
Hellyeah! Sal Abruscato's A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH have completed the mastering phase of their forthcoming sophomore release on Steamhammer/SPV. The NEW APHND album is entitled 'Lay My Soul to Waste' and it will be released on May 21st in North America. Additionally, the tracklisting has also been revealed (see below). Once again the artwork was penciled by Sam Shearon, who is also responsible for artwork on the band's debut album 'And Hell Will Follow Me'.
Abruscato spoke about the completion of the second record and what fans can expect:
"I can't express in words how proud I am of our accomplishment. To finally complete our sophomore album, sit back and listen to what we have done is a great feeling. From our performances to Matt Brown's mixes and finally having the album blessed by engineer and mastering great Ted Jensen, this album sounds bigger than the Grand Canyon. This album will surpass all expectations; it will be a privilege and an honor to present this album to all the fans."

BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2013: Initial Lineup & Details Announced!
Bloodstock Open Air (B-O-A) is the UK’s biggest independent METAL festival. Held at the picturesque location of Walton on Trent in Derbyshire, B-O-A has won the hearts and minds of fans of heavy ROCK AND METAL by consistently showcasing the strongest Metal line up on UK soil. And there lineup this year is INSANE!
Co-headlining the event are three of the most important Heavy Music bands in history, period. The event will be headlined by KING DIAMOND, which returns to the UK after many years of silence (this will be his comeback show), the mighty SLAYER, and Richmond, Virginia's LAMB OF GOD!

NEUROSIS Return To New York City & Perform A Historic Set
Yesterday (January 19), NEUROSIS returned to New York City, Brooklyn to be more specific, in support of their tenth studio album entitled 'Honor Found In Decay'. The bands triumphant return after many years of silence, took place at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple. A venue with "perfect" acoustics and with the perfect vibe for a band like NEUROSIS.
Not only did the band sound amazing, but they proved why they have been considered a forced to be reckoned with on and off stage ever since their inception in 1985. With a complete NEW look on stage, the bands music sounded more powerful without the visual distractions that they had with them for years. According to vocalist/guitarist Scott Kelly they wanted to strip down their set in order to have the music speak for itself, and they don't turn away the idea of one day bringing back their visual show. We personally think that there could have been more of a lighting show just to setup the mood during different songs; keeping one blue light during an entire show is definitely a bold statement.
For the most part, the fans were stoked with the song selection but there were a few fans that wanted to hear classics like "The Sun That Never Sets". However, NEUROSIS is the type of band is that real careful with their song selection so they don't end up becoming predictable.

In other NEUROSIS news, the band has been confirmed for 2013’s installment of the massive Hellfest festival in Clisson, France. The immense gathering runs from June 21st through 23rd, and will see NEUROSIS sharing the stage with Kiss, ZZ Top, Down, Bad Religion, At The Gates, Kreator and hundreds more.
Additionally, the deluxe 2xLP pressing of the album will be unleashed February 5th in North America, February 8th in Germany/Benelux/Finland and February 11th in the UK/World, via Relapse Records/Neurot Recordings, and will be packaged in a gorgeous Stoughton tip-on gatefold jacket and accompanied by a stunning 16-page LP-sized booklet. The audio was cut directly from the original studio master tapes and pressed on 180-gram vinyl, which will be available in five different colors: 2000 on black, 1000 on translucent smoke grey, 500 on translucent yellow, 500 on translucent orange, and 100 on clear, not available to the public.
