Metallica: Official Statement Regarding India Concert Cancellation!
Thrash Metal legends Metallica, were scheduled to perform their first-ever concert in India last night (Friday, October, 28), but at the very last minute the organizers decided to postpone the concert until tomorrow night due to technical issues. The citizens of Gurgaon, India obviously retaliated and sabotaged the venue by breaking barriers, tearing posters up and some even climbed on stage to destroy anything at sight.
After analyzing the situation, Metallica had no choice but to cancel the poorly organized event. Here is the Official Statement from the band:
"We arrived in Delhi on Friday very excited and ready to play our first show ever in India at the F1 Rocks concert. However, immediately at the end of our afternoon press conference at a hotel near the venue, we were notified that there was a serious question as to whether the show could proceed with regard to the safety of the concert audience. And our first and foremost concern is always for the safety of you, the fans.
"Once we, along with DNA, the promoters of the show, determined that there was a failure of a security barricade in front of the stage that could not be adequately repaired, the promoter reluctantly announced the postponement of the show until Saturday. Unfortunately, on such short notice the promoters were unable to secure a permit for a show on Saturday. Therefore, DNA announced that we would not be able to play in Delhi. Within the next 24 hours a notification will be issued by DNA regarding the process for full refunds.
"We are deeply disappointed with this news as we were looking forward to our first experience in India as much as you guys were. Keep watching for updates here as additional details are determined and confirmed."

Krisiun Unleash Album Teaser For 'The Great Execution'!
In anticipation of the imminent release of Krisiun's "The Great Execution" (due out October 31st in Europe and November 1st in North America), the dangerous Brazilian Death Metal trio is now giving fans yet another preview of the release with a new album teaser trailer!
"The Great Execution", produced once again by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio, is the band's 8th studio album and musically expands Krisiun's trademark high speed Death Metal violence with a heavily increased amount of diversity, ranging from extreme tempo variations over distinct rhythm patterns to clean guitars... and even Flamenco parts!
Krisiun only used analogue gear and instruments while recording "The Great Execution" in order to avoid the compressed sound that so many musicians produce today. This wise decision resulted in a more organic sound, with the songs on their NEW album possessing both a warmth and rawness that are so often lost through digital production.
Krisiun is:
- Alex Camargo [Vocal/Bass]
- Moyses Kolesne [Guitar]
- Max Kolesne [Drums]

Chaos Ensues In India After Organizers Postpone Metallica's Show!
Metallica was scheduled to perform their first-ever concert in India tonight (October, 28), but at the very last minute the organizers decided to postpone the concert until tomorrow night due to technical issues. The citizens of Gurgaon, India are pissed off! Here is a statement from Gurgaon police commissioner SS Deshwal.
"The organizers have informed the police that due to technical reasons they are postponing the concert. They have to explain why they canceled it! The organizers have to say why they cancelled (the show). They have to explain. They have canceled it without taking the district administration into confidence."
According to IBNLive.com, fans had already arrived in large numbers to Leisure Valley in Gurgaon, India today. The concert scheduled to begin at 7:30 (local time) was postponed only a few hours before the show was suppose to begin. After the fans heard that the concert was being postponed, they tried to sabotage the venue by breaking barriers, tearing posters up and some even climbed on stage.
"It is so disappointing. I have been standing in the line for two hours and then the organizers just announce that it has been postponed to tomorrow because of some technical difficulties," said Ramnik, a fan at the venue. Another fan Karan, who had come all the way from Mumbai, said, "I am very disappointed that the concert has been cancelled. I came all the way from Mumbai to see the concert. I have been standing for almost 2 hours now and have just been told that it has been postponed. No organizer has made any official statement if our tickets will be reimbursed or not."

Machine Head - Video Premiere for 'Locust'!
Today is a good day in Heavy Music, Bay Area Metallers Machine Head have unleashed their brand NEW video for their song 'Locust' (see below). Taken from Machine Head's seventh studio album entitled "Unto The Locust" (Released on September 27 via Roadrunner Records). The video was directed by Mike Sloat, who previously worked on Machine Head's videos for "Imperium", "Days Turn Blue To Gray", "Aesthetics Of Hate", "Now I Lay Thee Down" and "Halo". This is what Sloat had to say about the new Machine Head video.
"The video is all based on the artwork from the album as well as the vision of the artist, Paul Gerrard. Together we hashed out some concepts for attack scenes as well as the band's performance.
"We shot the band on green screen in Philadelphia on August 1st, 2011. It was on a 'off' date from the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. There's well over 600 shots in the video, all of which have varying levels of CG effects, and ended up taking over two months to complete. It is easily the BIGGEST music video I've ever done. With so many CG shots, we had to divide the work among several CG FX people and editors. Once the shots came back, I would edit them in and start the color effects and any last minute tweaks I wanted to add.
"Since the song is so long (six minutes and sixteen seconds for the edited version!!), we had a LOT of time to cover, so I began making up scenarios as I edited; the bearded guy at the window, the woman and child, the bloody attack scenes, the church steeple being smashed...these were all made up on the spot as I was editing and found that I needed more scenes! It was actually pretty fun to have to be creative 'on the fly.' The band wasn't able to see very much until the first edit was done (about six weeks after the shoot). From there we tweaked the edit and the look until we found what we wanted. It was a VERY long process, but the end result is pretty great, I think."
So far the band has exceeded all expectations and have definitely proven their elite status amongst today’s massive array of Heavy Metal artists. Actually, "Unto The Locust" doubled on the #54 Billboard Top 200 debut chart position of the band’s 2007 Grammy-nominated release, "The Blackening", Machine Head have topped themselves again with a remarkable #22 Billboard Top 200 chart debut for their new album, "Unto The Locust", with over 17,000 albums scanned.

Family Force Five Discuss NEW Album 'III' & Tips On How To Connect with Fans!
In 1993, Family Force 5 was formed in Atlanta, Georgia. From the get-go, the bands philosophy was to cross into various musical styles in search of their own signature sound. A unique aspect about FF5 is that three of the five members, Solomon (AKA: "Soul Glow Activatur"), Joshua (AKA: Fatty), and Jacob Olds (AKA: Crouton), are sons of Jerome Olds, a Christian artist that was popular in the late 1980s. Prior to forming FF5, the Olds brothers were part of a "boy band" that was properly dubbed as The Brothers.
On Tuesday, October 18, 2011, FF5 released their third studio album appropriately titled "III". The song "Not Alone" charted at No. 47 on the Hot Christian Songs, and "Wobble" at No. 20 for Alternative charts on the Billboard website. What makes this album unique is the fact that the band produced the album in a very original way; one week they wrote music only during the day and one week they wrote music only at night. By doing things this way they ended up with different vibes within the album. Prior to the albums release, we had the chance to interview Family Force Five, this what went down!
Track-listing for III:
1. "Can You Feel It"
2. "Paycheck"
3. "Wobble"
4. "You Got It"
5. "Mamacita"
6. "Tank Top"
7. "Not Alone"
8. "Dang Girl"
9. "Love Gone Wrong"
10. "Get On Outta Here"

Beavis & Butthead to Make Triumphant Return Tonight on MTV!
After 13 years of silence, Beavis and Butthead are scheduled to make their triumphant return tonight on MTV! After watching a few of the promo clips, it seems like the show will return with a twist and feature the boys mocking a variety of programs including MTV's hit show "Jersey Shore", UFC matches and You Tube videos. This is what MTV's president Van Toffler had to say about this.
"They'll be self-contained segments with the boys in different situations like they used to be. But this time around, they'll watch Jersey Shore, UFC matches and user-generated videos from YouTube, in addition to music videos. All of the programming will be displayed on the duo's TV, even if it comes from YouTube — like silly videos of cats playing music."
The big question we headbangers have is whither or not Heavy Music will play a role in the revitalization of the show. According to Mike Judge (Creator of Beavis & Butthead), this all depends on whither or not MTV decides to gain the rights to new Heavy Music videos. You would think that MTV has the rights to all new music videos, but the reality is that since their focus for the last decade has been on crappy reality television shows, music videos are not a priority for them anymore. Very sad indeed!
Description for Episode 1: "Werewolves of Highland; Crying". The guys try to join the vampire craze at school to score chicks; Butthead catches Beavis crying.

Korn - Video Premiere for 'Narcissistic Cannibal'
Korn is ready to once again revolutionize the eyes and ears of the Heavy Music fans with the release of their tenth studio album titled "The Path of Totality" (set to be released on December 6th via Roadrunner Records). The song is yet another collaboration between the band and dubstep's hottest producer, Skrillex.
Korn - "Narcissistic Cannibal," featuring Skrillex and Kill the Noise from Revolver Magazine on Vimeo.
"The title "The Path of Totality" refers to the fact that in order to see the sun in a full solar eclipse, you must be in the exact right place in the exact right time. That's how this album came together. I think all the producers feel the same way. I'm not sure it could ever happen again." - Jonathan Davis
Track-listing of "The Path of Totality":

2. "Kill Mercy Within"
3. "My Wall"

8. "Let's Go"

The album will be released in two configurations: as a standard 11-song CD and a special edition CD that will include bonus tracks as well as a DVD of "The Encounter", a full-length video concert of Korn's mind-blowing, once-in-a-lifetime performance in the middle of a 900-foot long crop circle in a wheat field in Bakersfield, California. The complete concert, previously seen last year on TV and online in an abbreviated form, will be offered in its entirety to those who purchase the deluxe version.
Additionally, today Korn announced that the first leg of their "Path of Totality (P.O.T.)" tour will play key ballrooms and feature dubstep DJ's Datsik and Downlink, as well as young upstart Dutch Dub-rockers Dope D.O.D. Expect a groundbreaking experience unlike any other Korn tour.

Iron Maiden's Captain Bruce Dickinson Advices Upcoming Artists!
Bruce Dickinson has been at the realms of the legendary Heavy Metal band Iron Maiden since 1981, year in which he replaced Paul Di'Anno as the singer of the band. Apart from being the front-man of one of the biggest Heavy Metal bands in history, Dickinson is also an airline pilot, a fencer, a broadcaster, an author, a screenwriter, an actor and a marketing director. To say that Dickinson wears many hats is an understatement, which is why every upcoming artist should take this words of advice very seriously.
"Never take 'no' for an answer and never believe it's impossible. Okay realistically not everyone will make it, but the most important thing is not to compromise your integrity. Have a great time, do what you do with real passion not just for the passion of the cheque book."
We couldn't agree more with the wise words of Bruce Dickinson! Play music from the heart, and never surrender your integrity. Practice, practice, practice... And for the love of god, GET ON THE ROAD! Also, don't over-saturate yourselves by playing too many local shows in a short period of time. And remember that you don't need to wait to enter the studio for writing new music, your fans want to hear something fresh as often as possible. However, don't compromise the quality. Finally, pay your dues before you demand anything and support your fellow artists. You are all in the same page!
In other Iron Maiden news, the band has just released their new pictorial book entitled "On Board Flight 666" (published by Orion Books). As most Maiden fans know, the bands official photographer John McMurtrie hopped on board the bands Boeing 757 jet named "Ed Force One" (piloted by Bruce Dickinson) from January 2008 all the way until August of 2011. During this time, not only did he capture on camera the five continents visited on the "Somewhere Back In Time World Tour" but also the "Round The World In 66 Days leg of The Final Frontier World Tour".
'On Board Flight 666' features hundreds of stunning photos with explanatory text, giving an exclusive, behind-the-scenes pictorial documentation of both tours. The new Maiden book is now available from book retailers, and from Amazon (who ship internationally) or Play (who ship to Europe).
Check out this killer behind the scenes video of Iron Maiden's last show of this extensive series of tours. The video was produced by Iron Maiden TV (IMTV), who followed the band as they wrapped up "The Final Frontier" world tour with a special show at London, England's O2 Arena on August 5, 2011. This was the first time that the band performed at this venue. The full episode will be available to Maiden fan-club members soon.

"The Bad Boys from Boston" (A.K.A. Aerosmith) have had quiete a career full of ups and downs. Dying Fetus Announce South American Tour!
Maryland's Death Metallers Dying Fetus are synonymous to uncompromised hard hitting Heavy Music. For 20 years, the band has managed to build a worldwide audience thanks to their furious neck breaking music. With six sick studio albums under their Metallic belt, added to their three EP's, and five music videos, the band is still having tons of fun playing technical Death Metal full of brutal cavemen riffs.
Dying Fetus has just announced that the band will be playing heading to South America in January of 2012. "SOUTH AMERICA!! We're coming for you!! Get ready!", commented the band.
We recently had the chance to interview bassist Sean Beasley during the Summer Slaughter Tour takeover at New York City's legendary venue Irving Plaza, about the legacy of Dying Fetus and about the bands upcoming plans. If you think that the band is ready to lay back and watch the Death Metal scene from the sidelines, you are underestimating the power behind the Dying Fetus Machine! Crank the volume, fasten your seat-belt, and listen carefully.

Best Week Ever for Ozzy Osbourne!
Ozzy Osbourne has been living a dream ever since he decided to clean his act up in an attempt to live a healthier lifestyle. So far the results have been amazing for Ozzy, who is looking and sounding better than ever! With the release of "Trust Me, I'm Dr. Ozzy", a book that finds Ozzy giving medical advise (not to be taken seriously) and the his NEW movie entitled "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne", Ozzy has been very busy promoting this two massive projects. It seems like all his hard work has paid off, and as a result Ozzy is having the best week ever!
His NEW book "Trust Me, I'm Dr. Ozzy" landed at position No. 12 on the New York Times "Hardcover Advice & Misc." best sellers list. 100% Ozzy — part memoir and part advice column, delivered with Ozzy's famous wit and humor. It's comprised of reader-submitted medical and lifestyle questions, Ozzy digs deep into his murky past, searching for pearls of "wisdom."
Ozzy's NEW movie "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne" was directed by his son Jack Osbourne and it is a movie about the life of one of the most influential Heavy Music musicians of all time. The film premiered on April 24 at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City and received the following review from Entertainment Weekly:
"What could have been a glossy, fawning tribute to the most visible face in heavy metal music history — especially considering it was co-produced by his son, Jack — actually turned out to be a remarkably evenhanded look at Ozzy's monumental musical influence as well as his less exemplary life as an addict and often-absent father."
He also appeared as a guest on Tuesday's (October 25) edition of the CBS program "The Talk", which is co-hosted by Osbourne's wife/manager Sharon. During his appearance, he discussed his new book, "Trust Me, I'm Dr. Ozzy: Advice From Rock's Ultimate Survivor", and "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne", the feature-length documentary that Ozzy's son, Jack Osbourne, co-produced. A couple of clips from the show can be seen below.
In an unconventional move for Ozzy, he recently announced that he is going vegan! That's right, Ozzy will no longer be biting the heads off of bats! Apparently, Ozzy's assistant showed him "Forks Over Knifes" (a documentary about the pluses of veganism) and this influenced Ozzy's decision. This is what Ozzy had to say about this extreme change of lifestyle.
"I feel OK actually, I feel better about myself, you know? I go on binges. That's the reason why I decided to cut out meat out and dairy because I've limited what I can have because when you're on the road and you're traveling, you grab buns and... burgers are everywhere... so now I've just narrowed the margin. I'm not saying I'm gonna do it forever; I might go back, when my wife learns to cook. So that'll be never!"

This is what Type O Negative's drummer Johnny Kelly: "This looks great, but we're disappointed that Roadrunner couldn’t get it together to do the scratch-and-sniff cover we wanted for 'The Origin Of The Feces'."

Megadeth Save Kid From Getting Attacked by Wolves!
Recently, Walter Acre (a 13 year old Norwegian boy) was walking home after a hectic day at school. All of a sudden, he faced his own death when four vicious wolves were standing in his way blocking his path. And what did the boy do? Instead of panicking like most people would do and trying to scare the wolves away, the smart youngster took out his cell phone, cranked up the volume and started playing some Megadeth! All of a sudden the wolves got scared by the sounds of the Thrash Metal titans and they left the boy alone.
Apparently, wolves are a huge problem for Norwegian farmers and even though they are an endangered species, farmers must protect their livestock by shooting and killing the wolves. But apparently, Heavy Metal is the peaceful solution!
According to Zvuki.ru (Russian music site), Walter had been taught how to act if he was ever to become encircled by wolves. There is no question that if Walter would have freaked out and started running away from the wolves, that the wolves would have attacked him since this would have ignited their instinct to attack ferociously.
Once the wolves got away, Walter headed home safely. Shortly after, one of the wolves was seen roaming the Acre residence, once again Walter played some Megadeth from his phone and the wolf quickly vanished! We think that Walter might have found a peaceful way of keeping wolves away from livestock, but perhaps next time he should crank up some Metallica? Please DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! \m/

Machine Head - Preview of Music Video for 'Locust'
On Tuesday, September 27, 2011, Machine Head released their seventh studio album entitled "Unto The Locust" via Roadrunner Records.
Machine Head's video for the song "Locust" can be previewed below. The clip was directed by Mike Sloat, who previously worked on Machine Head's videos for "Imperium", "Days Turn Blue To Gray", "Aesthetics Of Hate", "Now I Lay Thee Down" and "Halo".
