As previously announced, Gothic Metallers PARADISE LOST have teamed up with Decibel Magazine to give fans a gold-on-black flexi disc for the previously unreleased b-side "The Last Fallen Saviour"! This track will only be available exclusively to Decibel subscribers in the magazine's June issue (out in May), and it comes from the recording sessions of 'Tragic Idol', the band's forthcoming studio album that is set to be released through Century Media Records on April 24th in North America and April 23rd in Europe. PARADISE LOST Premiere Music Video For “Honesty In Death”!

Gothic metallers PARADISE LOST are well known for their intense videos from their two previous albums. "The Enemy" from the 2007 album 'In Requiem' was shot on the Crimea peninsula and caused some problems with TV companies due to the execution scenes. The video for the title track of 'Faith Divides Us, Death Unites Us' from 2009 was even more disturbing with its scenes of physical and emotional abuse. The brand NEW "Honesty In Death" video from the band's upcoming album, 'Tragic Idol', keeps this tradition. Watch the NEW video below.

Greg Mackintosh (guitar) comments: "We are very excited about the premiere of our 'Honesty In Death' video. In my opinion it is the best video we have ever done. Matt Green, who I had previously worked with on the VALLENFYRE 'Cathedrals of Dread' video, directed it. He did such a great job with VALLENFYRE that we knew he would be able to do something really special for PARADISE LOST. The result is a very powerful, but very grim short film with brief cameos by the band, that is sure to resonate with people who see it."

PARADISE LOST Debuts Part 1 & 2 Of "Haunting The Chapel" Studio Report

PARADISE LOST has just launched two behind-the-scenes studio report clips that will give you some additional insight into their upcoming album, 'Tragic Idol', which was recorded at The Chapel studios in Lincolnshire, England. Check out these exclusive in-studio reports now (courtesy of DecibelMagazine.com).

'Tragic Idol' is scheduled for a worldwide release through Century Media Records on April 23rd in Europe and April 24th in North America. The album's first single, "Crucify", can be heard below.

PARADISE LOST Has A Valentine Day's Gift For You!

After taking a trip back in time with the 'Draconian Times MMXI' DVD/live album (the London legacy show of their classic album from 1995) and Gregor Mackintosh's return to his crusty, doom-death Metal roots with VALLENFYRE (along with his mates from MY DYING BRIDE, DOOM, and AT THE GATES), it's now time for PARADISE LOST's 13th studio album, 'Tragic Idol'! As a special Valentine's gift, you can download the band's NEW song, "Crucify", on February 14th at the link below.

The album was recorded at The Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire, England. Vocals were recorded at the Fascination Street Studios in Orebro, Sweden by Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA, DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT), who also produced, mixed, and mastered the album. 'Tragic Idol' is scheduled for a worldwide release through Century Media Records on April 23rd, 2012 in Europe and April 24th, 2012 in North America.

In regards to this NEW album, Gregor Mackintosh (guitar) mentioned in the NEW Terrorizer interview: "We've probably been influenced more by classic Metal and classic doom metal on this record than anything else."

Nick Holmes (vocals) about "Crucify": "My father always used to say that typical life stresses were crucifying him, I always thought it was such a dramatic way of stating that. He was just uncomfortable with a situation that would soon be remedied. I also refer to an actual person as a literal crucifixion at the end, The words '... for eternity you're my sentence' is my favorite line on the whole album."

The 'Tragic Idol' touring cycle starts with a show at the Finnish Metal Expo this weekend, followed by their first Australian tour in 17 years, a UK/European tour starting April, and European festivals throughout the summer. Paradise Lost Begins Recording NEW Album 'Tragic Idol'!

After taking a trip back in time with the "Draconian Times MMXI" DVD/live album (the London legacy show of their classic album from 1995) and also Gregor Mackintosh's return to his crusty Doom/Death Metal roots with Vallenfyre (alongside his mates from My Dying bride, Doom, and At The Gates), it's now time for Paradise Lost's 13th studio album!

Gregor Mackintosh (lead guitar) comments, "We are currently holed up in The Chapel studios in Lincolnshire, England recording our new album which is entitled 'Tragic Idol'. The album will again be produced by Jens Bogren and is influenced by classic Doom Metal and Classic Metal. I would say it is more melodic than the last record whilst retaining the heaviness. There are lots of guitar solos and melodies. The album will contain such track titles as 'Honesty in Death', 'Theories from Another World', 'In this We Dwell' and the title track 'Tragic Idol'."

Tragic Idol is scheduled for a worldwide release through Century Media Records on April 23rd, 2012 in Europe and April 24th, 2012 in North America. Paradise Lost's last studio album, "Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us" (2009), entered the charts in over 10 European countries; most notably #22 in Germany and Finland, #29 in Sweden, and #45 in France.

Paradist Lost Releases NEW DVD “Draconian Times MMXI” & Premiere NEW Music Video!

Vallenfyre's Greg Mackintosh Discusses NEW Album "A Fragile King"!

Yesterday (November 1st), Vallenfyre released their new album entitled "A Fragile King" via Century Media Records! Vallenfyre is the brainchild of Gregor Mackintosh (songwriter and guitarist of Paradise Lost), along with members from My Dying Bride, At The Gates, and Doom. Vallenfyre is not a one-off project--they will continue as a band that will also play live in 2012.

We had the chance to speak with Greg Mackintosh about the production process behind "A Fragile King, as well as his extensive musical career. So sit back, relax, and crank it up to 11.
