Holy, mother of Metal! The entire lineup for the 2013 MARYLAND DEATH FEST has been announced! The historic event that is scheduled to take place during the weekend of May 23-26, 2013 in Baltimore, Maryland, promises to be one of the best music festivals of 2013. Just look at the mouth watering lineup below.

As previously reported, RIGHTEOUS PIGS, the long-defunct Punk/Death Metal band featuring badass guitarist Mitch Harris (NAPALM DEATH), have announced that they will reform for a very exclusive U.S. appearance at next year's Maryland DeathFest!

Ten more badass Heavy Metal bands have been confirmed for the 2013 MARYLAND DEATH FEST! One of the bands that will be crushing ear drums at next years festival is BOLT THROWER, the legendary British Thrash Metallers. Additionally, SLEEP, CARPATHIAN FOREST, REVENGE, ABIGAIL, CRUCIAMENTUM, SPEEDWOLF, AMBASSADOR GUN, ANHEDONIST and ASTHMA CASTLE, will all be performing live at the historic event that is scheduled to take place during the weekend of May 23-26, 2013 in Baltimore, Maryland.

NOLA's haarp Announce NEW Offering; Artwork And Track Listing Revealed

New Orleans Metal misanthropes, haarp, today announce the release of their NEW studio offering, entitled 'Husks' (set to be released on September 18, 2012 via Housecore Records). The follow-up to 2010’s 'The Filth' offers up three tracks of crushing, post-apocalyptic dirge. 'Husks' was recorded at the University of New Orleans Performing Arts Center, Fountainbleau Room 7011, and Nodferatu’s Lair by Philip H. Anselmo (DOWN, ex-PANTERA), engineered by Steve Berrigan and Nathan Weidenhaft and mastered at Visceral Sounds by Scott Hull.

Comments the band in a collective statement: “With 'Husks', we've maintained the sound we developed over our last few releases while adding some NEW elements and showing some additional influences.”

Due to unforeseen events which occurred late in the summer of 2005, members of various disbanded projects came together to forge haarp. Featuring a collective of New Orleans Grindcore, Punk, and Metal scene alumni, haarp embody the murk, decay, and oppression associated with their home city. haarp’s music is a visceral wall of low-end sound; its lyrics a journey through despair, hatred, self loathing, and aggression. haarp will be decimating a city near you. The WARBEAST Is Ready To Hit The Road With DOWN!

Housecore Records thrashers WARBEAST are pleased to announce that they will be supporting DOWN on their upcoming U.S. tour. The band will join on September 18th in their hometown of Fort Worth, TX and will travel with DOWN and a rotating line-up of haarp, Pentagram, and others until October 2nd in Charlotte, NC. See below for all current tour dates.

“This is a huge opportunity for WARBEAST. Not only are we thrilled to unleash our sound on DOWN’s enormous fanbase night after night, but we also get to witness DOWN performing some of their incredible NEW material live several times in a row,” states vocalist Bruce Corbitt. “We are seriously honored to be able to tour with a band that we are all fans of and actually friends with too. I have no doubts that this will be an unforgettable tour for those that are lucky enough to see it.”

WARBEAST began in the early 80’s Texas underground Metal scene. Vocalist Bruce Corbitt was the voice of speed Metal kings Rigor Mortis, who achieved major label success on Capitol Records in 1988. Other members of the band boast resumes including Gammacide, Demonseed, and more. WARBEAST released their most recent album, Krush the Enemy, in 2010.
