Oh yeah! Randy Blythe, singer of LAMB OF GOD, has announced that he is working on a NEW project called TEENAGE TIME KILLER with Mike Dean and Reed Mullin from CORROSION OF CONFORMITY! Here is the picture and text that Randy posted on his Instagram account:
"This is me with Mike Dean & Reed Mullin of the legendary NC
band, Corrosion of Conformity. Their record, “Animosity”, is a HUGE
influence on me, in fact the vocals on that record by these two men were
the first screaming type music I tried to sing along to, EVER. Reed had
a track he wanted me to write lyrics for & sing on, so I did (title
is “Hung Out To Dry”)- it’s old-school COC style thrash punk & I
killed it on the mic last night- SO FAST! It was a huge honor for me to
work on this- it will eventually come out as a project called TEENAGE
TIME KILLER (named after a Rudimentary Peni song) w/a bunch of cool
vocalists. The instruments were recorded at Dave Grohl’s studio (watch
his documentary, Sound City- track was recorded on THAT board)- Grohl
will add a couple of guitar tracks to the tune too. So good!"

ZOMBIE INC.: Debut Album From Old-School Death Metal Supergroup Arrives
Attention old-school Death Metal fans, zombie/horror culture freaks and general savages... the debut full-length from Austrian deathsquad ZOMBIE INC. has arrived.
ZOMBIE INC. may be a NEW name to the Death Metal scene, but some of the henchmen involved this gory, plodding debauchery will surely raise some interest... namely former Pungent Stench vocalist Martin Schirenc's return to the Death Metal scene! Schirenc's guttural oral thunder is brutally backed by guitars from songwriting mastermind Wolfgang Rothbauer (Disbelief, Eisblut, etc.) and Gerald Huber (Collapse 7), low-end from bassist Daniel Lechner (The Cascades, ex-Lacrimas Profundere) and the percussive onslaught of Tomasz “Nefastus” Janiszewski (Belphegor, Fleshcrawl, Debauchery).
The individual potent collective of talents coalesce on ZOMBIE INC.'s debut, A Dreadful Decease, a gore-obsessed 41-minute stompfest loaded with the instinctive, intuitive and aggressive stylings of the Death Metal of the '90s, bringing names like Entombed, Autopsy, Dismember, Obituary, Deicide, Edge of Sanity and Gorefest to the chopping block. A Dreadful Decease runs rampant with horrific, apocalyptic zombie themes, both lyrically, atmospherically and visually, bearing professional artwork by SeasonZero Design. The album was recorded and mixed by Martin Schirenc at Vato Loco in Austria, and mastered by Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity, Nightingale, Bloodbath) at Unisound in Sweden, who referred to the band as "great music... old-school, the perfect way."
Check out "The Chaosbreed" and "Bloodrain Overdose" via the band's Myspace page now (link below).

DOWN Own New York City
Last night Down performed a legendary concert at the Best Buy Theater in New York City. From the second Phil Anselmo and the boys got on stage, the crowd went wild and didn't stop raging out of control until security emptied the place up after Down destroyed everyone's necks and vocal chords. Down does not take anything for granted and they know that New York City always expects the best from them, and last night they performed their best show in New York City to this day.The energy last night in the heart of Times Square was unbelievable, there wasn't one person standing still or frowning. Down's mission is always to jam their hearts out and regardless of how chaotic the crowd is, Phil Anselmo always demands more chaos! In a token of appreciation to all the rabid Down fans, Phil performed the entire set with a cracked open head after being hit with Pepper Keenan's guitar while the band was playing "Lifer", which they always dedicate to Anselmo's former band mate "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. This made the crowd go absolutely insane, and from that moment on the whole place erupted into a huge mosh pit.
Performing all the "hit" songs from their three albums with full Bower Power combined with the shredding guitar of Kirk Windstein (Crowbar) and Pepper Keenan, Down is one of the tightest bands you will ever hear and last night was no exception. As in any successful band, the lead singer is the master of ceremony and Phil Anselmo last night proved that he is the best front-man in Heavy Music history. The man makes the guys lose their minds and the girls scream obnoxiously loud. All in all, a great mix of extreme music and amazing people. New York City is quickly becoming the capital of Metal, and nobody can stop us! \m/"It's not the first time this happens, and it will definitely not be the last one." - Anselmo after having his head cracked open while on stage.
Here are the remaining dates for the 2011 DOWN US tour:
Apr. 29 - Philadelphia, PA - Trocadero
Apr. 30 - Sayreville, NJ - Starland Ballroom
