GWAR-B-Q TV Special on G4's "Attack Of The Show"!

On Saturday, September 17th, a legion of headbangers took over Hadad's Water Park in Richmond, Virginia, for the 2011 GWAR B-Q: one of the wildest parties of the summer. The event featured two full stages of Rock, and it was headlined by the mighty GWAR. This was no ordinary GWAR set (if such a thing could exist...) as original GWAR bass player Mike Bishop (the first Beefcake the Mighty) joined the band for a very special set of songs from the "Scumdogs" era, this special set was followed by the latest incarnation of the universes most dangerous band, who took center stage and GWARified the crowd!

If you weren't there you missed a hell of a time, but luckily enough for you Bohabs, G4's "Attack of the Show" was there to document it all. Host Candace Bailey was there to check out all the bands, spend some quality time with her lords and masters GWAR and even got fed to The World Maggot.

The segment featuring the GWAR-B-Q airs tonight on G4TV at 7:00 PM Eastern (4:00 PM Pacific). The episode will be repeated throughout the week and starting on Wednesday October 5th the segment will be available for viewing of at the"Attack of the Show" website.

"Candace Bailey had on the tightest pair of jeans I had ever seen. It looked like they had dipped her halfway into a bucket of blue ink, and it outlined her camel-toe perfectly." - Oderus Urungus

Behemoth - Music Video Premiere for 'Lucifer'!

Poland's Heavy Metal meisters Behemoth have teamed up again with Grupa 13 to produce a music video for their song 'Lucifer'; which is a track taken from their 2009 release titled "Evangelion". The song clocks in at over eight minutes long and is one of the most atmospheric and foreboding songs in Behemoth's vast catalogue.

The video was shot in Wroclaw, Poland and stars the song's guest vocalist, Maciej Malenczuk.

Here is a behind the scenes video of the making of 'Lucifer'.

Back in print and newly repackaged, "Demonica" chronicles the earliest recordings of Polish blackened Death Metal legends Behemoth! "Demonica" will include two booklets; a 28 page booklet and a 16 page booklet with rare photos and lyrics that were not included with the original release. Painstakingly compiled by the band, and in particular, front-man and founding member Nergal, who had this to say about compiling lyrics:

"Finding and collecting all the lyrics was a difficult task, demanding patience and time. With an aim of preserving the so-called historical authenticity, I have resolved to forward the lyrics in their original form, even though some of the language mistakes in them may obscure the overall meaning of the work… The fact that none of them has ever been published before, speaks of their exceptional collectors or even historical value… All the lyrics, despite their imperfections and just terrible English, depict me from the time of their creation. I still believe that it was a very straightforward and honest material, which had its mighty influence on who I am today."

"Demonica" will be available in North America November 22 in North America, via Metal Blade Records.

Disc 1:

1. Of My Worship
2. Summoning of the Ancient Gods
3. The Arrival (Instrumental)
4. Dark Triumph
5. Monumentum (Instrumental)
6. Rise of the Blackstorm of Evil
7. Aggressor
8. Goat With a Thousand Young (Instrumental)
9. Bless Thee for Granting Me Pain
10. Cursed Angel of Doom
11. Transylvanian Forest

Disc 2:

1. From Hornedlands to Lindisfarne
2. Thy Winter Kingdom
3. Summoning (Of the Ancient Ones)
4. The Dance of the Pagan Flames
5. Blackvisions of the Almighty
6. Fields of Haar-Meggido
7. Deathcrush (Mayhem cover)
8. Moonspell Rites
9. Blackvisions of the Almighty
10. Pure Evil & Hate
11. The Oak Between the Snows (Instrumental)
12. Spellcraft & Heathendom

An mp3 for the track 'Summoning of the Ancient Gods' and preorders for the "Demonica" reissue can be found HERE.

Cradle Of Filth Premieres Clip from Upcoming "Evermore Darkly..." DVD!

As previously announced, the UK’s premier extreme Metal antagonist, Cradle Of Filth, will be releasing a CD/DVD mini-album titled “Evermore Darkly…" on October 18th via Nuclear Blast Records. This mini-album is the follow-on to last year’s triumphant, "Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa". This is what vocalist Dani Filth had to say about
this new release.

“It is a much-loved musical stop-gap between albums, a pleasure treasure trove of wild and wicked wonders primed especially for fans. Something for them to sink their teeth into this autumn as the Cradle invasion fleet is primed for future contagion.”

In addition to the new clip (which you can watch below), the Cradle Of Filth mini-site contains an 'Evermore Darkly…' video trailer, the music video for 'Lilith Immaculate', album info, downloads and more.

"Evermore Darkly…" will feature the brand new musical beast, “Thank Your Lucky Stars,” a special remix of “Forgive Me Father,” courtesy of Rob C. from Anthrax, an extended rendition of “Lilith Immaculate,” as well as tempered demo versions of three Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa songs. The CD closes with a special taster from Cradle Of Filth’s impending orchestral project, in the form of a haunting, classic reworking of fan-favorite, “Summer Dying Fast.”

"Evermore Darkly…" DVD contains footage from Summer 2011, when Cradle Of Filth embarked on a rapid spat of tours, accompanied by two eager filmmakers. The resulting documentary, 'You Can't Polish A Turd… But You Can Roll It In Glitter,' combined with performance and interview footage, culminates in a forty five minute film of the not so glamorous reality of life in a touring band at work and play, as they trawl their way across Europe over eight performances. The DVD includes an interview with ghoul-guide, Dani Filth, interspersed and peppered with live footage and backstage shenanigans, culminating in the entire hour long set from this year's highly anticipated Graspop festival appearance.

Here is a clip from the forthcoming DVD "Evermore Darkly...":

2. ‘You Can't Polish A Turd…But You Can Roll It In Glitter’ Rockumentary

Gojira Update - NEW Album, NEW Website & Statement by Joseph Duplantier!

The members of French progressive Heavy Metal band Gojira, have been dealing with some hard times lately, but rest assured that they will make a very strong comeback. At current time the band is without a label, and the hard drive where they had most of their new EP recorded crashed. Regardless of this unforeseen obstacles, Gojira is ready to get back into the groove. Here is an Official statement from the band.

"A lot happened since our last message so we wanted to give you some news today and let you know we are still alive!

"We know you are all eagerly awaiting the "Sea Sheperd" EP release. We are sorry for the delay. Some of the material was on a hard drive that crashed but we are nearing the end of a long and difficult recovery process.

"Now the good news: the new Album is ready! All the music and lyrics are waiting to be recorded. Joe Duplantier (vocalist/guitarist) is already in New York to check out the studio and make sure everything is sorted so we can begin to record next month.

"A new website is being built and we are working on ways to improve the communication between the band and our fans."

Here is a statement from Gojira's vocalist/guitarist Joseph Duplantier, regarding the bands vision behind the creative process for their NEW EP entitled "Sea Sheperd". (Courtesy of Terrorizer Magazine)

"I've been about spirituality since the first album. It's hard to define what spirituality is, but it's more like getting closer to [oneself]. It's where each thing we do is sacred; not like going to a church or when you are with a dying person, but waking up in the morning… I've tried to take this dimension when I've written the music, like sometimes I don't even know what I'm going to sing and the words come out fluently. It's not a concept album like in the past, it's more about being spontaneous with feeling, and it's more true and honest."
