Today is a great day to be a Heavy Music fan! New Jersey’s progressive Metal juggernauts SYMPHONY X have announced that they will be returning to North America for a co-headlining tour with Heavy Metal stalwarts Iced Earth. Opening each night will be L.A. thrashers Warbringer. The 32-show trek will launch in Hartford, Connecticut on January 31st, weave through the Great White North, then blow out the lights in Clifton Park, New York on March 11th. This is what SYMPHONY X's guitarist Michael Romeo had to say about this upcoming Metallic Mayhem!

“We are very excited about the upcoming North American Tour with Iced Earth. We first met Jon & the guys a few years back and they were really cool. When the idea of a Co-Headline tour surfaced, we thought it would be awesome. The fans can expect a night of great music from both bands. We look forward to seeing you all real soon!”

SYMPHONY X’s innovative mixture of Heavy Metal and Progressive Rock have made them a favored staple among prog Metal fans for almost 20 years. Schaffer formed Iced Earth in Tampa, Florida, in 1984. Since then, he has released 10 studio albums, the newest being the highly-acclaimed "Dystopia" (October, 2011) – which debuted at #67 on the Billboard Top 200 – one live album, two compilations, three boxed sets, and several DVDs. Krisiun Streams NEW Album 'The Great Execution'!

Krisiun's new album, "The Great Execution", will be available for purchase tomorrow (November 1st) in North America via Century Media Records! The bands eighth studio album was produced once again by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio, and musically expands Krisiun's trademark high speed Death Metal violence with a heavily increased amount of diversity, ranging from extreme tempo variations over distinct rhythm patterns to clean guitars--and even Flamenco parts! Krisiun purposely only used analogue gear and instruments while recording in order to avoid the compressed sound that so many musicians produce today. This wise decision resulted in a more organic sound, with the songs on "The Great Execution" possessing both a warmth and rawness that are so often lost through digital production.

In anticipation of this release, the band is now giving fans the chance to preview The Great Execution in its entirety at Hails and Horns.com. Click here to hear the latest from the Brazilian Death Metal trio, and for an exclusive track-by-track commentary.

Stay tuned for an update with touring news from the Krisiun camp as they are about to announce their extended European touring schedule for the beginning of 2012, the year of the end of the world (if you believe the Mayan calendar). Prepare yourself for the apocalypse, which Krisiun delivers the perfect soundtrack for!

Krisiun is:

- Alex Camargo [Vocal/Bass]
- Moyses Kolesne [Guitar]
- Max Kolesne [Drums]

Cynic Announces Release Party & Special Acoustic Performance In New York City!

Coinciding with the release of their NEW album "Carbon-Based Anatomy" (In Stores November 15th via Season Of Mist), CYNIC have confirmed a special release party for this Wednesday, November 2nd at Idle Hands Bar in New York City. The band will be on hand signing copies of the new EP and a special intimate acoustic set is planned for the evening as well.

On their new EP "Carbon-Based Anatomy", CYNIC have once again taken their natural inter-fusion of musical styles and turned it into something truly singular. "Carbon-Based Anatomy" is equal parts King Crimson, Tool, Muse and Allan Holdsworth. It's a 23-minute transcendent musical journey through the fertile musical minds of guitarist Paul Masvidal and progressive drumming icon Sean Reinert. Beginning with their much-venerated 1993 debut release "Focus", CYNIC have long been famous for pushing musical boundaries. Now in 2011, CYNIC have redefined themselves once again with a 6-song EP that combines diverse influences from 70s-inspired Prog Rock to cutting-edge Metal, tribal folk and futuristic alien shapes and sounds.

All of these diverse elements have been harnessed and carefully shaped by mixer John Hiler, into what is unquestionably the most open and expansive-sounding release of CYNIC's career. "Carbon-Based Anatomy" is retro, yet at the same time is unapologetically modern. It is respectful of the groundbreaking artists that have made musical evolution possible yet refuses to be stifled by that reverence. It is wholly appreciative of past musical landmarks but is unashamedly forward- thinking. "Carbon-Based Anatomy" is CYNIC's next bold step into the future and is a harbinger of the great music to come.

CYNIC will be joined on their US and European tours by new members Brandon Giffin (ex-The Faceless) on bass and Baltimore Holdsworth-styled guitar prodigy Max Phelps. Tour dates are can be found below.

CYNIC is:

- Paul Masvidal: Vocals, Guitars
- Sean Reinert: Drums, Percussion
- Sean Malone: Bass (Album)
- Amy Correia: Vocals (Album)
