DEFTONES Bassist Chi Cheng Hospitalized With Pneumonia!

This past Thursday (June 14th), original DEFTONES bassist Chi Cheng was hospitalized and diagnosed with pneumonia. As previously reported, Chi was in a tragic car accident. As a result, he suffered some very serious brain injuries. Ever since the accident Chi has been in a state of semi-consciousness after suffering severe TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). While Chi is still in a delicate condition, his condition has been improving. As you will see on the video below, Chi can now lift up his leg on command! Chi still needs your help, Click here to donate to One Love For Chi!

Here's the latest update from Chi's mother:

"Hi Gina (founder of OneLoveForChi)! Let me send a quick blog to our lovely OneLove family.

"Mae has been staying with Chi for most of the time since Chi went into ICU on Thursday. Today when Sal and I went in to see him, he looked better than we had expected. He was quite aware of what was going on. He is still on life support and not enjoying the tube down his throat.

"He did respond to us and they are going to try to ween him off the breathing machine tomorrow. When they tried today he did not do well but he has been on it before and gotten off without incident.

"He is sedated part of the time but knows that he is near home and we are waiting to get him back to the house. He knows that we are there. Sal read him all of the comments that were sent to him and he knows that there are so many people sending prayers and love.

"Sal took a few pics for me to share with you. He is quite intensely listening to what I say and responds in different small but deliberate ways. He knows that we are waiting for him.

"Thank you all again for the prayers and support! He wanted so much to be home and you all brought him home to California and to his family. We are so grateful! Please keep him lifted in prayer. Blessings to you all family!"

Our thoughts and prayers are with Chi's family, friends and all of the DEFTONES fans.

DYING FETUS: Full Album Stream Of 'Reign Supreme' Available Now!

DYING FETUS' NEW album 'Reign Supreme' will receive its long awaited release tomorrow June 19th via Relapse Records. Today you can listen to the entire record HERE (courtesy of Metal Sucks) and be sure to order your copy HERE.
'Reign Supreme' features nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works. Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of DYING FETUS as we have come to know.
The band recently completed work on a video for the song "From Womb to Waste". The video features 12 camera angles from a recent live show at Maryland Deathfest held at Sonar in Baltimore, MD. The video was filmed and directed by Scott Hansen (Animals as Leaders, A Day to Remember).

Alternative Press Magazine is hosting an exclusive giveaway of a DYING FETUS ESP LTD guitar. The grand prize also includes a deluxe copy of 'Reign Supreme' and a DYING FETUS t-shirt. Two additional winners will be chosen to receive a copy of 'Reign Supreme'. To enter the contest, visit the giveaway page HERE.

BEHEMOTH's "Nergal" Is Putting Finishing Touches On Autobiography

According to Terrorizer.com, BEHEMOTH's frontman Adam "Nergal" Darski is inking the finishing touches to his autobiography. Entitled 'Sacrum Profanum', the book is "like a really long in-depth interview," according to Nergal.

In addition to publishing the book, Nergal will be working with Polish producers Grupa 13, with whom he had previously collaborated on the BEHEMOTH videos "At The Left Hand Ov God" and "Ov Fire And The Void", on several promotional clips.

"We're shooting some trailers to support it," Nergal said. "The episodes will be little portraits of certain chapters of the book."

"Sacrum Profanum" is due in September.

In other Behemoth news, the band recently completed a series of shows and festivals throughout Europe. The shows were a massive success and featured some of the band's intense stage production to date. To sample what these shows were like, check out this bootleg of "Lucifer", live in Pratteln, Switzerland below.

Behemoth front man Nergal adds the following: "We are back home recharging our batteries before striking back at Hellfest and Graspop! Things are intense and it feels great to be raging across Europe with renewed show and refreshed set list! Unfortunately, we were kind of cursed when it came to weather forecasts on this European trek. One show in Austria had to be cancelled due to a massive thunderstorm. Nevertheless, we kept on conquering. Eight shows completed. A perfect warm up before summer. Hail to everyone who was there to support us!"

Behemoth has recently announced that they are among the acts confirmed for the Barge To Hell cruise December 3rd-7th. For more information, the entire line up, and to book a room, visit http://www.bargetohell.com.

A limited number of 'Evangelia Heretika' double LPs are still available from Metal Blade HERE. The LP, which features live audio from the DVD of the same name, comes on clear vinyl with a 12"x24" poster in a beautiful gatefold package. 'Evangelion' and 'Ezkaton' vinyl are also available; visit indiemerch.com/metalbladerecords for the complete list of releases.

OZZY's Son Jack Osbourne Diagnosed With Incurable Disease!

Just two months after he and fiancée Lisa Stelly welcomed their first daughter, Pearl Clementine, the 26 year old revealed to People that he has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Here is what Jack had to say about this:

"I was just angry and frustrated and kept thinking, 'Why now?'", Osbourne told People Magazine. "I've got a family and that's what's supposed to be the most important thing." "While I was waiting for the final results, I got really, really angry. Then I got really sad for about two days, and after that I realized: 'Being angry and upset is not going to do anything at this point—if anything it's only going to make it worse,'" Osbourne told Hello!. "'Adapt and overcome' is my new motto."

Jack also told Hello! that he received his diagnosis after he lost 60 percent of his vision in his right eye and that a neurologist confirmed that he has the autoimmune disease. Jack's treatment will include a combination of daily drug treatments, holistic therapies and lifestyle changes to reduce his stress and get as healthy as he can be.

We wish Jack and all of his family the best of luck with this NEW challenge!
