The 4th Annual GWAR-B-Q To Feature C.O.C., MUNICIPAL WASTE & More!

GWAR has released the first line-up for the 2013 GWAR-B-Q, located at Hadad's Water Park in Richmond, VA. This year sees the event entering its fourth consecutive year while offering its most bone-crushing line-up yet, setting the stage for what will certainly be the most massive GWAR-B-Q in the history of the human or any other race!

The event is scheduled to take place Saturday August 17th, 2013 at Hadad's Water Park in Richmond, VA, located at 7900 Osbourne Turnpike. Doors will open at 10:00 AM and the first band will hit the stage at 11:00 AM. For more information be sure to visit: http://gwarbq.com. Ticket information will be announced soon.

Local faves and international Thrashers Municipal Waste will provide main support to the mighty GWAR, and in turn will be supported by a plethora of devastating acts like Corrosion of Conformity, Pig Destroyer, Cannabis Corpse, Loincloth, Kung-Fu Dykes and many more. Once again Hadad's will host not one but TWO stages which will be packed with bands all day… and finally there are rumors of a yet-to-be-announced act that will put this year's GWAR-B-Q 2013 completely over the top!

"Once again we blow the horn of war and set into motion the gears that grind us towards the greatest GWAR-B-Q yet," said unrepentantly horny front-thing Oderus Urungus, fresh off debuting GWAR's new "GWAR-B-Q" sauce at a strongly attended event at the world-famous Grinders in Kansas City (see more details HERE). "We will not only be rockin' like Dokken and slippin' the cock in, but we will shoving a wealth of GWAR products down your throat…not only our new GWAR-B-Q sauce, but our very own beer, Impaled Ale! Eat and drink yourself into a diabetic stupor, then puke it all up in the slam pit! It's gonna fucking rule!"

Antarctic Metal monsters GWAR are kicking off their spring run of dates with a special "Meat and Meet" at the world-famous Grinders in Kansas City, Mo. The "Meat and Meet" is scheduled for Monday April 8th from 4-6 PM.

This event is not only for GWAR to drink and eat themselves into a bloated coma with their legions of slavering fans, but to announce and introduce their brand-new and 100% edible "GWAR-B-Q" sauce, personally created for human consumption by none other than GWAR's steel-faced guitar player, Balsac, the Jaws of Death.

"This new taste sensation is mostly made out of the blood of really hot chicks", explained the surprisingly cordial space-barbarian. "It was a terrible waste of fine ass, but ultimately worth it because this sauce is absolutely delicious!"

GWAR will be kicking off the second leg of the "Fate or Chaos" tour is scheduled to kick off April 10th in Tucson, AZ and will run through April 25th in Jacksonville, Florida. Support on the tour will come from Warbeast and Wilson. All dates can be found below.

Rumors of boxed sets, GWAR-B-Q sauce, GWAR beer, and long-awaited "comedy" albums abound. Further details about all of these projects would have to wait until "we get our shit together", said Oderus.

GWAR Announces Leg II Of The "Fate or Chaos" Tour; WARBEAST To Support!

After spending months deep inside their arctic fortress working on what will be their next album, your Lords and Masters GWAR have announced their return to the road in North America. The second leg of the "Fate or Chaos" tour is scheduled to kick off on April 10th in Tucson, AZ and will conclude on April 25th in Jacksonville, Florida. Support on the tour will come from Warbeast and Wilson. Tickets go on sale this Friday February 15th.

Briefly putting down the crack pipe, lead throat thing Oderus Urungus spoke about going back on tour:

"As you humans amuse yourself with your mundane holidays, it has been a time of intense activity for GWAR, as we record our 13th studio album-- the first one with our new Scumdog brother, Pustulus Maximus!"

The Filth-Lord continued-- "We begin this years festivities with the second and final leg of our Fate or Chaos tour, so everybody who missed the first leg can see Cyber-Jesus get his fucking ass handed to him. Then it's back in the studio to work on all the hulking war machines we shall need on our devastating, brand-spanking new tour, after the album drops at the end of the summer! Can you believe I said drop? How fucking stupid!"

Oderus Urungus and Balsac the Jaws of Death, recently took New York by storm when they were in town filming a segment for the SyFy TV Show "Oddities".

The guys were once again recruited by MTV's Next Movie to give their critique of another Steven Spielberg directed, Oscar nominated film. The last time they reviewed a movie for Next Movie they reviewed "War Horse" it was only fitting that "Lincoln" be next. Check out Oderus and Balsac's review HERE.

Oderus and Balsac recently stole the show as guests on the "Artie Lange Show". Check out highlights of their appearance HERE.

The summer will also herald the fourth annual GWAR-B-Q, and this year is shaping-up to have the most colossal, bone-crushing line-up yet! But that's not all from your toxic mutant under-lords. Rumors of boxed sets, GWAR-B-Q sauce, GWAR beer, and long-awaited "comedy" albums abound. Further details about all of these projects would have to wait until "we get our shit together", said Oderus.

Watch This Hilarious Video Of GWAR Trick-or-Treating In New Jersey!

This video is a must watch! The great folks over at FUSE TV, violently forced our favorite "scum dogs" from GWAR to go trick-or-treating in New Jersey.

Dressed in a variety of ever-changing costumes—including cowboy, "pretty princess," even President Obama—the Metal band meet everyone from a woman handing out cheese to a rich fellow they incorrectly assume is a "vagina-cologist." More importantly, the Metal monsters learn the true meaning of the holiday: candy. And stomach pain. Watch the video now!

GWAR's Oderus Urungus Has A Message For "Shocking" Acts Like Rob Zombie & Marilyn Manson!

Wow, during a recent interview with the Broward Palm Beach New Times, GWAR's David Brockie (a.k.a. Oderus Urungus) was asked about the fact that GWAR isn't regarded as "shocking" as the band used to be. The journalist who conducted this interview probably didn't get the chance to GWAR's current stage show. Shocking is an understatement for the bands current live show. Make sure you catch them on tour with DEVILDRIVER, CANCER BATS and LEGACY OF DISORDER!

Here is what Oderus had to say about not being "shocking" enough:

"A lot of bands have tried to do what GWAR does," Brockie said "But no band has ever taken it as far as GWAR has. No one has ever out-sicked us.

"You think these Walmart behemoths of the music industry like Marilyn Manson or Rob Zombie are really scary people? That they have any kind of revolutionary agenda? All they care about is making money, and hanging out with their director buddies as they throw gala award ceremonies to circle jerk each other into a frenzy. GWAR is where GWAR should be: In the drawer marked filth."

He continued, "There would not be SLIPKNOT without GWAR. I have a direct quote from Rob Zombie about GWAR when he was figuring out what he wanted to do with his career. They asked him, 'Hey what do you think of them?' and he said, 'The first time I saw GWAR, I thought 'I want to be that, but I want to make money.'' That, to me, says a lot about Rob Zombie as an artist. It says that he isn't one.

"I give Manson a little more credit. He has a strand of pure obnoxiousness in him. I heard a story, some girl tried to get his signature and he hocked a huge bloody loogie. 'There's my signature.'

"Rob Zombie is a tired, G-Rated mishmash of other people's styles.

"When I see SLIPKNOT I see lots of pentagrams and cow skulls. Really familiar imagery. What I do like about SLIPKNOT is their music. Their drummer is fucking amazing. But when I get to Marilyn Manson, he's a little harder to peg. A little Alice Cooper, a little Bowie, a little Johnny Rotten.

"GWAR has done similar things. We've borrowed liberally from other shit. But no one has gone further than GWAR has gone."

In other GWAR news, he band has announced that the long-lost cousin of Flattus, Pustulus Maximus, has officially joined the band in the position of lead guitarist, and is currently on tour with GWAR as part of "Fate or Chaos" tour.

GWAR Announces NEW Guitarist PUSTULUS MAXIMUS; NEW Album In The Works!

It was a little less than a year ago that the world was rocked by the passing of Flattus Maximus, back to the cosmos from whence he came. And since that day fans of GWAR have wondered how the mighty overlords of GWAR would deal with the void it left within the band. GWAR responded the only way they knew how-by soldiering on-and continued to play as a four-piece. But from the very beginning of that phase, the quest began to find the NEW Scumdog that was in every way as magnificent as his predecessor. Today the members of GWAR are pleased to inform their legions of followers, and even more so their many enemies, that once again the band is whole, with the proclamation that long-lost cousin of Flattus, Pustulus Maximus, has officially joined the band in the position of lead guitarist, and will join with the group on their upcoming "Fate or Chaos" tour with DevilDriver.

Pustulus offered his first words to the press with the following, "At this point I have nothing to say to the press, even though I am talking to you. I will let my guitar speak for itself. But let me add that I am blood-sworn to honor the legacy of the great Flattus and indeed the whole Maximus tribe. I didn't come here to fuck around. HAIL FLATTUS!"

But how did all of this come to pass? It was easy to get a quote from GWAR lead singer, Oderus Urungus:

"Naturally we were devastated by the passing of Flattus. But we turned that grief into rage and set about the task of finding a NEW guitar player. The first thing we did was sound the mighty Horn of Hate, and alert all Scumdogs, scattered across the galaxy as they are, as to what had occurred. What people didn't know about Flattus was that was is part of a huge tribe of brutish warriors, The Maximus Clan. They are at the core of any Scumdog Legion worth its blood! Planet Maximus is just crawling with them!"

Oderus farted, blowing a hole in the wall, and continued. "Many of the tribe had fought and even played in bands with Flattus, and we began to get messages from across the stars. The Scumdogs were coming! Coming to Earth to lay tracks on our NEW album, and pay tribute to the mighty Flattus. Soon the War-Barges of Maximus tribe members began to appear in Earth's orbit... and land outside our great temple! Bubonis, Infectitcus, Fartacus, and many more-all have participated in the creation of the songs that shall be on our NEW album, which will be out sometime next year.  But it was not until the hulking form of Pustulus appeared at the studio door, bloody guitar in hand, that we knew we had our NEW member. Here was a being that was supposedly born with a guitar in his fist, which of course resulted in the death of his beloved mother, whose body he immediately devoured. If anyone can replace our beloved comrade, it is this foul creature. Because he can fucking shred."

Little else is known about this being, other than that he has a skin condition where his face and feet are covered in painful pustules that can only be soothed by the application of savage Metal, spoiled elephant semen or oral sex. Pustulus is also rumored to be half-deaf, which leads him to yell at everyone, which he does often, because he is convinced everyone in the band is ignoring him when actually he just can't hear what they are saying. It is not known whether he crashed his Scumship into Antarctica or wandered up from the depths of GWAR's Antarctic fortress - all that is known is that he is here, now, and is ready to ROCK.

But GWAR fans wont have to wait until the tour to witness the ax-mastery of Pustulus.
Make sure to visit The A.V. Club http://www.avclub.com tomorrow to see Pustulus as he shreds for the first time with his Scumdog Brothers in GWAR on a very special song that no other band would play, because it is so fucking hard. Unless of course you are GWAR.

GWAR-B-Q A Huge Success Even Though "Attack Of The Show" Hottie Didn't Make It!

"Beyond our wildest dreams, and they can get pretty kinky, we were almost completely 100 % satisfied with this years GWAR-B-Q", said lead singer Oderus Urungus, reached at his Antarctic bungalo. "Everything went well, except that hottie from Attack of the Show didn't show up... but I suppose that is understandable. We did feed her to a worm last year!"

From everything to the weather (which was an enjoyable 85 degrees), to the authorities (who seemed to be enjoying themselves), to the bands (who all put on amazing sets), all conditions were in perfect alignment and the much-anticipated event went off without a hitch... well, almost.

Slave Pit spokesman Dave Brockie had this to say about the event: "The "Meat and Beat" went great, and Oderus stayed in the area an extra three hours to make sure everybody got to hang out with their Lord and Master. It was a great line-up of great bands, and we got to see both Sleazy P. AND The Sexecutioner! It was a huge improvement over last year (when we didn't even manage to have it outside) - we made big strides this year and I am sure next year we will get even bigger and better. Rest assured any hiccups we had have been noted and will be sorted out for next year's event... so see ya at GWAR-B-Q 2013!"

Perhaps the best way to judge the success of the event is to hear it from the fans themselves-

Worth the drive down from Delaware for sure!!! Always up for GWAR especially when they bring Sexy back!!! And Ghoul kicked ass too!!
-Tom Flynn

It was still worth every second, dying of thirst or not. I was there for GWAR and to have a good time which I did. And that's all that mattered.
-Kristen Maresca

I had the greatest weekend of my life. My son and I traveled from Florida and it was worth every penny we paid!
-Lonny Amendolea

Thanks to all of the people that made this awesome event happen. GWAR is currently working on a new album, the first since the passing of longtime guitarist Cory Smoot last year. Look for an announcement soon regarding GWAR's search for a new Scumdog as GWAR prepares to debut the newest member of the GWAR tribe on this fall's "Fate or Chaos" North American tour.

DevilDriver To Conclude Touring Cycle For 'Beast' - Details Available!

Dez Fafara's DevilDriver are preparing to hit the road one final time in North America in support of their latest release 'Beast'. The tour is scheduled to kick off October 7th in Grand Junction, Colorado with a string of headlining dates before the band meets up with GWAR on October 12th in Philadelphia, PA to start the "Fate or Chaos" tour. DevilDriver will also play select headline dates during off days of the tour with GWAR. A complete list of tour dates can be seen below.

Frontman Dez Fafara commented on the upcoming tour with GWAR:

"DevilDriver was going to take some time off from our touring schedule in October and November, but when we were asked to support GWAR, it was a resounding YES in our Camp!

"The GWAR tour we did is still the most fun the band and I have ever had on a run and we are all excited and looking forward to these shows. Our crowds go together well and it will be Halloween Season so it seems appropriate and fitting we should be out on the road at this time and with a timeless act like The All Mighty GWAR!

"HAIL to the Devils Duo about to ride together again!!!"

DevilDriver recently announced their signing to Napalm Records. Following this tour, the band will take some time off and will then head out for a European tour in February of 2013. Look for the band to be back with their NEW album and Napalm Records debut in 2014.
