As you probably know by now, ALICE IN CHAINS' fifth studio album entitled 'The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here' will be released this coming Tuesday, May 28. The album was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones) and engineered by Paul Figueroa. The samples found at the link above is the only taste you will get of the NEW AIC, since they refuse to perform any of these songs until the record comes out next week. This is what Jerry Cantrell had to say about this:

"You always have to protect your stuff, but it's something you now have to be way more careful about. Early on, with the demos for 'Facelift', before it even came out, we were hanging out with the Pantera guys, and Phil Anselmo talked me into giving him a copy back in '89. He started passing copies around to bands and shit, and then [then-Columbia president] Don Ienner got in my ass for that. It didn't go that far, though, just to a few bands. If that happens today, it goes everywhere. If somebody turned you on to something back when I was coming up, it was that much more special: "Nobody's heard this yet. Check this out." I'm from a different era, and I just haven't gotten used to it. I don't necessarily think it's a healthier situation for music or for people who enjoy music."

ALICE IN CHAINS Are NOT Splitting Up; US Tour Begins Tonight!

As you probably know by now, ALICE IN CHAINS' fifth studio album entitled 'The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here' will be released on May 14. The album was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones) and engineered by Paul Figueroa.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, Jerry Cantrell reassured fans that the band is not breaking up following the release of their highly anticipated NEW album. During an interview with Fuse TV (see below), Cantrell said that he looks at every NEW record "like it's your last" and that he could "rest happily with this being the last record, if that's what it was". Following the interview, the usual onslaught of ridiculous "is this the end of ALICE" headlines surfaced all over the internet. Cantrell has cleared the air, telling Billboard. "What I said was, I approach every record as if it were my last, trying to make it the best record it can be. That's what I meant".

Although there are fans who are not interested in hearing anything by this version of ALICE IN CHAINS, Cantrell said, "I don't do this for what people tell me I should do with my life, or my band. I do what I want to do and what my band wants to do. And we continue to do that".

TOXIC HOLOCAUST Premiere Lyric Video For “Agony of the Damned”

Portland’s favorite Punk/Metal delinquents TOXIC HOLOCAUST recently unleashed a NEW lyric video for “Agony of the Damned.” Initially featured on the band’s 2011 'Conjure and Command' full-length, “Agony Of The Damned” makes an “updated” appearance on the 'From The Ashes Of Nuclear Destruction' compilation, set for release via Relapse Records next month. 

Elaborates band mastermind Joel Grind: “This version of ‘Agony of the Damned’ was recorded in September of 2010 with a drum machine a few months before we stepped into the studio to record the one that appears on 'Conjure and Command'. When making an album, I usually demo out the entire thing before I step into a studio. This keeps costs low and gives me time to sit with it to iron out the details. Since 'Conjure and Command' was the first TOXIC record to feature a full band, this demo served the purpose of familiarizing everyone with the new material and is previously unreleased.”

HYPOCRISY Unleash Lyric Video For "End Of Disclosure'!

Swedish Death Metal legends HYPOCRISY have released the lyric video for their title track 'End Of Disclosure'! Watch it below and you sing along.



“This time I wanted to go back to basics,” commented Tägtgren. “I felt like we lost it for the last couple of albums. This one is straight to the point and more Hypocrisy than ever! Fast, heavy, and epic. Enjoy!”

Being on a par with their 90’s brute yet multifaceted masterpieces, 'End Of Disclosure' leaves no room for breathers. It was produced by mastermind Peter Tägtgren in his Abyss Studios in Sweden, with artwork was done this time by Wes Benscoter (SLAYER, KREATOR, NILE, VADER, BLOODBATH). Decipher The Name Of The NEW ALICE IN CHAINS Record!

According to Metal Hammer, ALICE IN CHAINS posted the following anagram, inviting fans to create what they think will be the album title. Can you decipher it?

This year, ALICE IN CHAINS will release their as-yet-untitled fifth studio album. The album was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones) and engineered by Paul Figueroa.

The band announced a slate of U.S. tour dates. Full date and venue information can be seen below. Fan pre-sale for most tour dates begins, Tuesday, January 15. Check back tomorrow for additional pre-sale information. Tickets for all headline tour dates go on sale to the general public this Friday, January 18.

CLUTCH Premiere First Lyric Video Ever For Their NEW Song "Earth Rocker"

The sold-out and extremely successful European leg of the Earth Rocker world tour is coming to a close. A recent review from Metal Hammer UK from their gig at KOKO can be viewed HERE.

CLUTCH's first ever lyric video for the song "Earth Rocker" is in and can be viewed below. The video was created by Ramon Boutviseth and his team at Studio RB Films.



CLUTCH's NEW album 'Earth Rocker' is available for pre-order exclusively at www.clutchmerch.com. Fans can pre-order the record individually or partake in the special fan-friendly bundle packages that are being offered. WEATHERMAKER MUSIC has confirmed a March 19, 2013 North American release date for the CLUTCH 'Earth Rocker' CD and Vinyl.

  CLUTCH first leg of the "Earth Rocker North American tour", begins on March 8th in Cincinnati, OH and runs through April 20th in Baltimore, MD. Support on the tour will come from Orange Goblin, Lionize and Kyng. The shows from March 8th through March 24th are on sale now, and the newly announced dates are set to go on sale for fan club members Tuesday January 22nd HERE. Tickets will go on sale for the general public on Friday January 25th and Saturday January 26th.

HATEBREED's 'The Divinity Of Purpose' = Explosive Musical Dynamite!

The day has arrived, Connecticut Hardcore Metallers HATEBREED have unleashed 'The Divinity Of Purpose', their most explosive record to date. This is the bands debut album on their NEW label home Razor & Tie Records. The bands promise of "all pit, no shit" on their seventh studio album, was delivered in style!

Even though HATEBREED have released some excellent music in the past, this time around the chemistry of the band members - Jamey Jasta (vocals), Chris Beattie (bass), Matt Byrne (drums), Wayne Lozinak and Frank Novinec (guitars) - came across from the first notes on the album opener "Put It To The Torch" all the way until "Idolized And Vilified" concluded the bands batch of musical dynamite.

One element that really sets 'The Divinity Of Purpose' is that guitarist Wayne Lozinak was more involved in the writing process from beginning to end. As a result, the guitar parts are significantly more technical this time around. But make no mistake, HATEBREED's NEW album carries the bands globally known signature sound and their musical formula: anthemic lyrics, addictive grooves, crushing riffs. As the wise always say: don't fix what is not broken! We are glad to see and hear that the HATEBREED boys keep getting wiser and stronger than all!
"I just think having the good studio environment and having the good environment on the road has made it easier for everybody to be creative and just do better. When you feel better you do better, and luckily we’ve been on an upswing. And there’s been a resurgence with the band and we have been able to do a little bit less touring and have a little less of a grinding schedule which I think has made everybody happy and more focused on the creative process and on the performance.

"When Wayne came in and did this record and when he did the last record, too, it was a very good working environment and he picked up all the material very quickly and his performances were spot on. He works great with Zeuss and Josh [Wilbur] and all the great ideas Chris brought the table in the pre-production process and all my riffs that I brought to the table he picked up on very quickly. The same thing goes for Matt and Frank, just touring everybody gets along great and it’s just been a really good working environment.

At the end of the day a lot of fans might not understand that it is a job, it is our career, touring, recording, being a fulltime musician and just like a regular job it can be a little bit of a grind. We’ve tried to keep it from becoming that and the last couple years has been really good for that, just being a good work environment and having fun."
