EYEHATEGOD's Mike IX Williams: Philip Anselmo, NEW EHG Album, Touring Plans, Randy Blythe's Arrest & More!
EYEHATEGOD was founded in 1988 by Jimmy Bower and Joey Delatte, who were joined by Joe Fazzio and Kevin Bond from Crawlspace NoLa & Superjoint Ritual. Ever since their inception their have been various lineup changes, but regardless of whose in the band they have always been a driving force within the Heavy Music scene in NOLA. Their sludge Metal became a trademark within Heavy Music worldwide and their unique sound is incomparable. Eyehategod's music is the result of a group of friends getting together in a jam room and writing some simple, heavy and balls out music!
Louisiana’s favorite purveyors of Hardcore, blues-based, unrepentant, post-amplificated dirge, will head to Europe this week to further spread their audio message of discontent. The caravan of decadence and debauchery begins July 20 at Serengeti Festival 2012 in Stukenbrock, Germany and will pillage its way through 19 cities, leaving in its wake nothing but broken glass and hurt feelings.
We recently had the chance to chat with Mike IX Williams about the bands upcoming tour, their NEW album situation (including album title rumors), and why they got banned from Scion Rock Fest. Additionally, we talked to Williams about the arrest of LAMB OF GOD's Randy Blythe (who is a good friend of Williams). Listen up and spread the doom!
