SUICIDE SILENCE Announce Mitch Lucker Tribute Show - Video Message Available!
As previously announced, the Heavy Music world was struck by the very sad news that Mitchell Adam Lucker passed away at the young age of 28 (More information HERE). According to the Los Angeles Times, Lucker struck a light pole near the intersection of Main and 13th streets and was thrown from his 2013 Harley Davidson. Speaking to the audience, SUICIDE SILENCE guitarist Mark Heylmun said (see video below), "We fucking lost our brother; I'm sure you all know that. We all miss him more than anything in the fucking world."
He continued, "I think something that is really important to us is that we consider SUICIDE SILENCE a family — as far as the band goes, as far as any crew member we've ever had, anybody that's ever worked for us, and the fans… Everyone is family; that is the greatest thing that's ever happened to us and we're so grateful to be a part of this.
"This is the most difficult thing we've ever had to deal with.; I really don't know where to start. We're just dealing with it day by day, and I hope everybody else is dealing with it. It's just unreal to have to be up here right now talking about this.
"We wanna say thank you all so much for donating to Kenadee's education fund.
"Everybody's been asking what we're gonna do as a band. We're putting together a show. It's gonna be at Fox Theater on December 21. Just kind of the best show, the best event that you could possibly imagine. Obviously, Mitch is not gonna be there. We're gonna have a different singer every single song. We're gonna put the best show that we possibly can together. It's already in the works. Tickets go on sale next Friday. Hopefully everybody can make it out. It's gonna be really fucking special. And all the money that is going towards the show is going to Kenadee's educational fund. So it's going to a cause and Mitch would really appreciate it and we appreciate it. Thank you very much."

SUICIDE SILENCE's Mitchell Adam Lucker Dead At 28; FrankenSandy Demolishes The East Coast!
This was definitely one of the toughest weeks in Horns Up Rocks history. Not only were we forced to work from "Everyday Gourmet Deli" in New York City from Tuesday morning until today (Friday) since we lost electricity and water thanks to "FrankenSandy", which slightly delayed our entire work flow, but we closed this trying week with the very sad news that Heavy Music icon Mitchell Adam Lucker has passed away at the young age of 28 (More information HERE). Here is a video we shot in the dark (with a camera light) that features our founder Jo Schüftan sharing his story about the hugest hurricane in the last 100 years (image gallery HERE) and discussing the impact that Mitch's death had within the entire music world.
We would like to offer our condolences to Mitch's family, friends, band members, fans worldwide, and everyone at Nuclear Blast Records and Century Media Records who are affected by this loss.

Mitch Lucker's Wife: "I was in front of him begging him not to leave the house"
As previously reported HERE, Mitch Lucker, vocalist of SUICIDE SILENCE, passed away yesterday due to injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident. A speech by Mitch’s wife Jolie filmed during last nights vigil in Huntington Beach, California confirms what some Los Angeles news outlets reported last night, which is that Mitch had been drinking prior to the accident that killed him. Here is what Jolie said during the vigil:
"He was an alcoholic, and it’s been a big battle. I tried to stop him. I was in front of him begging him not to leave the house. Begging him. Like,”Just seriously, for us, don’t leave.” And he did. And this is what happened. It’s a wake up call. He was an amazing man, a wonderful father, and a great husband. And now he’s gonna miss out on watching Kenadee grow because he decided to drink and drive. Just don’t, just think before you guys do something stupid, please learn from it. Please."
HERE are reactions from the Heavy Music community!
We would like to offer our condolences to his family, friends, band members, fans worldwide, and everyone at Nuclear Blast Records and Century Media Records, who are affected by this loss.

The band recently announced that they have inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment, the NEW division of Nuclear Blast formed by Nuclear Blast owner Markus Staiger and former Roadrunner A&R chief, Monte Conner. As one of the leaders of the extreme modern Metal movement, it is only fitting that their NEW home be one of the biggest Metal labels on the planet. It’s a union that is sure to bring much success to both parties in the not so distant future.
SUICIDE SILENCE’s Nuclear Blast Entertainment debut is tentatively scheduled for a Summer 2013 release.
SUICIDE SILENCE's latest album, 'The Black Crown', sold upwards of 14,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 28 on The Billboard 200 chart.

Machine Head, Suicide Silence and Darkest Hour are currently destroying venues all over North America! Their collective promise of reducing venues to piles of rubble and dust during “The Eighth Plague” tour, has definitely been kept so far.
Last Friday (February 3), these three Metal bands took over the Best Buy Theater in New York City. Going into this show we knew that this lineup would be the perfect recipe for a night of musical greatness! While all three bands possess very different musical styles, they all share the same philosophy: put on a great show in order to make sure that everyone gets their money's worth. Click here to read our show review and to check out some more BADASS pictures
Prior to the start of the show, we ran into the Metal "twins"! No, not Megan and Stacy, we are talking about the lost brothers Mark Heylmun from Suicide Silence and Mike Carrigan from Darkest hour! During the hilarious interview, Mark and Mike talked about their current touring run with Machine Head and how their bands are setting themselves apart from the rest. They also discussed their bands future plans! Watch it now, laugh out loud, and spread it like a disease!
